2nd of the four original shows with the Disney Afternoon branding starting out with merely a planned five part miniseries and first attempt at adapting the Uncle Scrooge comic books we get the original DuckTales series.

Starts with Donald Duck leaving for the Navy, though he'd show up a handful of times, thus Huey, Dewey and Louie are sent to stay with their and Donald's Uncle, Scrooge McDuck. Scrooge becoming the main fame for Alan Young who was previously the character in Mickey's Christmas Carol and before that he was popular for being a cast member in a sitcom about a talking horse of course.

We'd get coverage of previous comic characters like Magica De Spell, The Beagle Boys, Flintheart Glomgold, Gladstone Gander, Gyro Gearloose and so on. Plus new characters like Mrs. Beakley, her niece Webby Vanderquack, Doofus Drake, Bubba the Cave Duck, plus Launchpad McQuack and Gizmoduck. The last two in particular gaining extra fame in Darkwing Duck.

No, this isn't random. No anniversary (that I'm aware of) or anything.

A legit YT channel from Disney, Disney Kids started uploading free episodes of Goof Troop in October along with an episode of both The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, plus Lilo & Stitch. Stuff either Halloween related or spooky or in GT's case even just an episode with a referential title.

But they kept uploading more episodes of those shows after and without just a holiday theme. Near the last half of December, DuckTales now got the treatment.

And we're up to four episodes so far:

So yeah, watch and give each individual video plus any possible further vids a like.

Ducky Horror Picture Show now up:

So tell me if this was in the Carl Barks universe, and Donald had to leave for a bit to join the Navy, would he had left the boys with his Uncle Scrooge or Daisy? I know Scrooge is family, but if Donald was serious of one day marrying her and having kids of their own and starting a family (see "How To Have An Accident at Work") that would have been a good opportunity to test her out and see if she was ready for mother hood. Of course that depends if April, May and June are around, she might have her hands full her self.

I always wonder about that as a kid who only knew of Donald and company animation history, and have vague references to the comics thus the only people I knew of who were in Donald's life was the nephews, Daisy, and more or less Scrooge. So I didn't know who April, May, and June were I know the Daisy from Quack Pack is someone I would trust to take of my kids for a bit.

Don't forget about Grandma Duck.

Ducks on the Lam is up:

Ali Bubba's Cave is up:

First part of Super DuckTales "Liquid Assets"

Incidentally it is one of few episodes Post-Season One to be based on an old comic. Namely "Only a Poor Old Man" from Four Color #386. Whereas Scrooge's debut story (Christmas on Bear Mountain) was as a cast member, as I understand, this is his first focus.

A difference is that instead of Fenton it is Donald who gets the supposed termite eating bugs.

Guess a late Valentines upload and ironically not the official episode. Well, Bubbeo and Juliet:

A Case of Mistaken Identity is up:
