LAN gaming does not utilize the actual "BROADBAND" concept, which all of the games you listed are. None of those games actually go online or connect to GCs outside of your house. I don't know why they just don't call it "Gamecube Ethernet Adapter" since broadband is the furthest thing from what it's used for. So no, Nintendo does NOT support their BBA.

You can always fake out the BBA and play LAN games online. An example of that is at www.warppipe.com

I know I am jumping into a pond full of crocadiles already (which must be a masochistic-type thing since I do it often :p)... I wanted to put my two cents into this thread.

First, I want to say that I like all three systems for various reasons... the appeal to me of the Game Cube is that it has great graphics for a portable unit and is cheap. Its a great little unit.

That said, I still prefer PS2 only for one thing: its variety of games that I would find enjoyable. Yes, few of the games I have are available for all three consoles, but there are a lot of games for the PS2 I enjoyed emensely and have greater appeal to me than ones on GC have. The GC only games havent really, overall, appealed to me (niether have X-Box games until recently).

So, yes I do like it, but prefer PS2 more.

You're an idiot, plain and simple. Your wretched biasedness prevents you from having a civil conversation about this subject, and you keep repeating your ignorant, biased statements with nothing to back them up. People don't support Sony because of it's fanbase (if anyone is guilty of that, it would be Nintendo..), it's just a known fact that more people own a PS2 than a GC. It would be dumb for most companies to release a game on the GC instead, seeing as it wouldn't have the opportunity to sell as many units. Sony is making the big cash because the industry has changed, and the big money is in games for a more mainstream audience (yes, video games are popular now). Your average person (not a "gamer") would rather play Grand Theft Auto, Halo, or some big name sports title (like Madden etc.) than any Nintendo franchise anyday. Nintendo needs to either change or die. They don't seem to want to change along with the industry, and I wish they would just go the Sega route, and turn third party.

Okay, since people can't play like grown ups this thread is closed. I had a feeling eventually it would have to be... these sort of threads always do this. Enough warnings have been sent for one topic..

Thread closed.
