The Gruntmaster 6000 prototype is ready for the frustrating stage of its development, testing. Legendary tester, Bob Bastard is assigned to the project and puts the prototype through a variety of unrealistic tests that the team must design their product to withstand. Meanwhile, Dogbert joins the space program and learns government secrets.

Well this episode was clever and funny, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two so I had to drop the rating down just a little bit.

I rather enjoyed Dogbert learning all of the NASA's deepest, darkest secrets while on the space shuttle. His attempts to knock the asteroid out of the way of the Gruntmaster 6000. "There aren't any laws in space."

I found the crew's interaction with Bob to be semi-entertaining, but ultimately it left me wanting just a bit more. I did find it funny how the Gruntmaster withstood 5000 degrees, but once it went to 5001 it just burned up.

Another fun episode of Dilbert.

To be honest I didn't think much about it except for a brief moment. My argument over this kind of thing is you do the event or object a disservice by removing it from all past forms of media—as if it never existed. I don't know anything about this Cowboy Bebop episode, but Comedy Central made the right call here.

Finnaly! I finnaly got to see Dilbert and I loved it! I'm really liking the animation and though I'm used to the voices I'm sure I'll become very fond of them eventually. ****1/2

Well i loved the whole "Dogbert in Space" stuff. Really funny. But the Bob Bastard stuff did nothing for me. In fact id go as far as to say i thought it was pretty bad. While ive really enjoyed the last two ep's Comedy Central has aired, this one just didnt do anything for me. 2 1/2 *'s.

Is it me or did CC cut up this episode.

However, some of the funny moments (like when Dogbert zapped open a safe and incinerated a man, then blew up the comet to throw debris over the robbers' car and the remains of the zapped man). Thank heaven.

All in all, this episode is a personal favorite.

The first episode of Dilbert I ever saw was "The Name" and that is easily the best one I've seen. This one isn't quite so funny, but it sure is a worthy companion. Four stars.

Dogbert is just the coolest animated dog since....ever. Bob Bastard was a good opponent, and I enjoyed the flashback sequence. The best subplot had to be Alice's submission to the creep.

LOL funny. Looking forward to more.

I'm not sure either. I had it all ready to go and then I had to edit the thread to match up with "Testing." The production number of the third one is 102 so I don't know if CC got confused and skipped over it. Cartoon Network does that all the time with Batman.

That's what I need....a Space Shuttle! Now I can attack anyone from outer space as much as I want!

And I know that the Gruntmaster 6000 looks like one of those large spinning machines you see at carnivals, but why don't they tell us what the product is supposed to do? But it looks cool...and all you need is just four (holds up FOUR fingers) payments of $49.95!

After all, it's just like the Gruntmaster 9000, but it doesn't have as many features, but it is more affordable.

I wasn't offended by the Columbia being in the episode, but this was months later. And I do like the voices, actually. They really fit with the characters, especially Chris Elliott and Kathy Griffin. When I read the comic strip now, I've been imagining these actors as the voices in them, and that's alright with me. 4.5 stars.
