Today's announcement from Warner Bros. Entertainment and DC Entertainment make reference to two DC Nation shorts set to debut in April 2014, timed for Batman's 75th anniversary. Check out the press release here.
Awesome to hear. I had no doubt that they'd do this and I've probably been anxious for it from the moment I watched the Superman short. If only a kick in the shins could get Marvel to attempt something like this for their 75th.

April 16th lists GREEN ARROW 01 - ONO-BOT. Is this the first we have heard of GA shorts? Glad to be finally getting new content!

Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network have provided a first look at the upcoming DC Nation animated short "Batman: Strange Days," set to debut on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 after an all-new episode of Teen Titans Go!. Beginning April 9th, DC Nation shorts will air every week following new episodes of Teen Titans Go!, which airs Wednesday nights at 6:30pm (ET)/5:30pm (CT) on Cartoon Network. Wow, looks really cool! Good to see a new Batman animation helmed by Bruce Timm. And it looks like DCAU animation, too! Can't wait!

Looks amazing... and it's great to have brand new Batman animation designed by Bruce Timm again. Plus I called the story. :D It looks like the Justice League Batman with a few costume tweaks.

Also, I take it DC Nation is officially gone? Airing new shorts between new episodes of Teen Titans Go! doesn't really suggest a block.

Those stills look pretty amazing. I'm really looking forward to this new short now. Neat that it'll be entirely black and white, it should make for a really unique experience.

Good to see some new shorts, other than the Batman ones. Green Arrow is a nice surprise; don't recall any shorts featuring him being announced before.

I actually just asked this question to a Cartoon Network representative. I asked, "To clarify, the DC Nation programming block is no more, and is now DC Nation Shorts?" The response? "DC Nation shorts now air Wednesday nights after Teen Titans Go!"

Thoughts on that comment?

I guess the DC Nation block really is no more now. Looking at the schedules I thought it was moving to noon and 1pm on weekends (the first episodes of TTGo! are a repeat of Wednesday's), but I guess not.

I guess Cartoon Network and programming blocks just don't really mix anymore.

This is highly disappointing...

Yeah... It sounds like the block itself is no more. They do however, still have a few DC Nation Shorts sitting on the shelves which they'll air and what better show to pair them with?

I think this is a smart (or necessary) decision on their part. The block itself had become stagnant and without any new shows on the horizon, it didn't really have a place on the network.

EDIT: Also James, any word on the voices (If there are any)? This just looks and feels like Kevin Conroy's Bats, so I hope Timm got him back.

So if DC Nation is gone, when and where would Beware the Batman air if the show does come back?

I don't think that Beware the Batman is going to come back. When Cartoon Network pulled BtB in November, they claimed that the show would return in January, and it's now April. It's clear that CN is done with BtB. The most that we can hope for is that any remaining unaired episodes will turn up on DVD or on iTunes/Netflix or something similar.

James Harvey mentioned that there are future plans for the show, but they weren't clear. It may just air on a random Saturday morning slot, maybe after Beyraiderz or Chima ends, or they may just burn in off in an arbitrary weekday morning slot. They had the perfect slot to air in it at 7am when they moved Chima to a later time, but they decided to put a Tenkai Knights rerun on instead. Nothing against Tenkai Knights or anything, but I'd just like to see the rest of BtB air, even if it's an arbitrary slot.

Some believe that it may air in May to celebrate the 75th Anniversary, which is possible.

I'm guessing whatever happens, it will just be a deathslot where no one cares to watch it enough anyway.

A shame, but not a surprise. Well, on the bright side, the shorts will still be aired and I don't have to wake up Saturday mornings anymore. :D

Strange Days looks sick! Hugo Strange and the Monster Man looks to blend well with the 1939 B&W theme.

Yup, first time we've heard of any. Pretty sweet.

Its been itching to happen.

I have to ask, would this short ever get a dvd release? At least as an inclusion in one of the dtv dc animated films as opposed to the DC NATION Collection?

Good question. The Superman one was released online as well as on the Man of Steel Blu-ray. I think there is a 25th anniversary Batman Blu-ray coming this fall. Maybe on that?

When I saw the overview of images from "Strange Days", I couldn't help but notice that the 'strange giant' looks a bit like TNBA Scarecrow. It's more than likely a coincidence though - clicking on the images featuring the giant, it's clear that he's not the Scarecrow.

It's probably one of Strange's Monster Men like in The Brave and The Bold's "Knights of Tomorrow!"

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
