As I'm sure you'd agree, at least this time is different in a good way, due to Lopez willingly agreeing to push his show back an hour...
Agreed. In fact, Lopez didn't just agree to the change; when Conan turned TBS down because he didn't want to step on Lopez's toes, Lopez called Conan and asked him to reconsider because he thought it would be an improvement for him. That is such a vital difference between that fiasco at NBC.

I love one of Conan's jokes last night...

‎"A new report shows that due to the weak economy right now, more Americans are canceling their cable television. All I can say is good luck trying to live without eight shows about cakes."

BTW, what's with the running gag of someone named Steve Zampanides being cut for time? It's been like that all week. Either the guy doesn't exist and the Conan staff is having a good laugh at our expense, or the scheduling person got a little ambitious in thinking how many guests they could work into the show.

This Steve has a Twitter account, but that could very well be faked. All I gotta say is, if Steve does exist, it would be awesome if he performed every single talent he's been listed as all week (each episode lists him as a different "expert"- one night it's hot sauce, another night it's fonts, another night it's animal impressions), all at the same time.

It was funny having Sheamus on Conan as he completely destroyed Conan's excuse that pale red heads couldn;t get big:p. Him kicking puppet Conan's block off was good too.

That head decapitating kick bit was good, but when it comes to wrestlers on the show, I still found The Miz interview much funnier, just for how crazy it got.

"You're ruining your own catch phrase!"
"CUT IT!!!!"

Hey, looks like Conan's going to be doing some NYC shows at the end of October. Cool, back in his old stomping grounds.

Reminder: Tonight, and all week, Conan is doing the show in NYC. Looking forward to what he has in store.

EDIT: Lucky audience, getting Late Night Snack ice cream after the show. And classic blooper where Conan accidentally stuck out his middle finger to prop up Jimmy Fallon's ear.

They pulled an Oprah! But that flavor sounds delicious.

I've had Late Night Snack, and it is indeed good. Not The American Dream good, but still tasty.

OMG the Masturbating Bear returns!

ATTENTION: Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is appearing on tonight's episode. We haven't seen him in almost two years. Screw the gay wedding- this is the historic event!

...and boy was it great (with him taking advantage of how he can curse on cable TV and a certain moment involving a balloon version of him and the bull statue at Wall Street).

Also needing a mention: cameos by John Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

Really enjoyed seeing him in New York this past week. You can tell he's more comfortable there, and the skits were so much more fun.

Did anyone else feel a little badly for the couple getting married? It was such a quick ceremony, no speeches from family members or anything. I guess if they agreed to it, it was what they wanted, but it seemed cramped. The groom was walked by his celebrity of choice for exactly four seconds...I liked the vows though. "Cameras or no cameras..." got me a little choked up.

Great seeing Triumph. What does that performer do when he's not on Conan?

Conan was great this week and I too wish he'd go back to NY. He's just such an East coast guy that he seems so much more natural. But LA is closer to where his wife's family is, his kids have already been moved once, it's easier to get guests, and I think if I had to choose I'd probably pick LA over NY too based on weather.

It was a little awkward to see people get married but it was still nice and "Ted Turner" pushing them out on the fake buffalo was great. And Triumph was on top form. Him using one of the guys as a drum roll after jokes was probably my favorite part as was the giant Triumph balloon. And did anyone catch a cameo of Blackwolf the Dragonmaster( he was the wizard from the Episode II bit from Late Night ) marching with Triumph? That was unexpected.

Oh and his puppeteer is Robert Smigel. He does a lot writing for TV( he also did the Snl cartoons )and other stuff when he's not Triumph. He's even been a guest on Conan a number of times as they're pretty good friends.

If there as only one thing that I thought was a disappointment this week was there was no cameo from Max Weinberg. Ah well Stewart and Colbert made up for it.

He was on screen for, like, a second, but yes, I caught him and immediately laughed out loud. Fond memories of the Episode II Triumph skit came flooding back.

"Don't forget to finish your filet of fish!"

So, Thursday's episode had a Stewert/Colbert cameo and the return of Triumph? I have to check this one out, the show's on Hulu right?

Triumph was bloody hilarious and that wedding was so adorable. Has any other couple ever been married on a talkshow before?

Yes; there was a famous wedding on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show where Tiny Tim married Miss Vicki. That was way back in the '60s.

Wow, it's one year of Conan episodes already. It seems like yesterday. At least his TBS show has lasted longer than his previous gig. Keep us laughing for many years to come, Conan.
