I am back from the dead with a new entry... wait, I never died... or did I? *evil laughter*
Anyhoo, here it is
Entry 9: Brethren of Destruction
Japan Xenomorphic Self-Defense Force (JXSDF) Headquarters…
Japanese Prime Minister, Hayato Igarashi, and other high-ranking officials of the JXSDF stood around the only remaining control room in all of Japan. The war with the ESUN had destroyed the entire country, more damage than Godzilla could’ve ever caused.
“We stand here as the only remaining free humans on this planet,” sighed Hayato. “All the world’s armies have fallen to the ESUN, but we have the slightest chance. This chance is in the form of our anti-Godzilla units. I want to know how soon we can launch our assault to take back the planet.”
“Our anti-Godzilla units can strike a massive blow, but what if Godzilla attacks Japan? What’ll defend us?” asked JXSDF Chief, Takeo Nakahara.
“If we lose, there’ll be no Japan left to protect! Godzilla will be the ESUN’s problem! And you know what? They’ll probably use us as bait!”
“That’s true. Then we should have all units ready in a couple of days.”
“Who do we have to fight?”
“Currently, Kiryu, Moguera, Mechagodzilla 2 and Gotengo. But given time, we should be able to get some more up and ready.”
“Alright, you have one week. Make it happen, gentlemen.”

“Empress, we have received a report that the JXSDF is planning to launch an attack. They have their anti-Godzilla units mobilizing. I estimate their attack in one week,” reported Gen Gryphus.
“The JXSDF?” Amelia inquired. “General, I know you’re aware of this, but our Kiryu is only 2 meters tall and
theirs is like 100. How do you explain a victory for us?”
“I already have that under control, ma’am. Over time, I have been working on a molecular resizing device. It has passed its tests, and should work on our super weapons.”
“Alright. Now, what do we have? Kiryu, Doomfire and my beloved Phil. Against more than prolly double their number, right? General, I want you to find me another super weapon to aid them in this battle before the expected one week is up.” The General flashed a quick salute.
“Right away, ma’am.”

3 Days Later, Tsinghai Region, Western China…
“Tell me about this
thing you found here, doctor,” inquired Gryphus as he followed the paleontologist through the narrow tunnels in the underground cavern.
“It’s a tomb, sir,” replied the scientist. “And inside it, we found the remnants of an enormous, avian abomination. We believe it’s a cyborg, because both mechanical and biological elements have been found, but what doesn’t make sense is that the carbon dating dates it back
10,000 years.”
“Humans back then could barely make the simplest tools, let alone cybernetic applications. It must be extraterrestrial.”
“We’ve already confirmed that. Its cybernetic elements are made of a metal unknown to this planet. We have dubbed it “Space Titanium” for the time being because its properties are very similar to the titanium here on Earth.”
“Anywho, get this thing out of the ground. I want it battle-ready in 3 days.”
“Right aw-”
“Wait! Stop!” cried a pair of soft female voices in unison. On a small rock a few feet away, a pair of mysterious fairies appeared. They couldn’t have been more than 6 inches tall.”
“Who the hell are you?” Gryphus demanded as he kneeled down by the rock.
“We are the Shobijin, the envoys of the Earth guardian, Mothra,” they replied. “You must not remove Gaigan from this tomb. If you do, his former masters will come to reclaim him and darkness will once again cover the Earth, for this time, Mothra fears she may not be able to defeat this abomination again as she did 10,000 years ago.”
“Oh, shove it you little Shobijin. If his former masters want him back, they’ll have to pry him out of our cold, dead hands.”
“Heed our warning and none will perish as they did before,” they said before fading away. Gryphus scoffed.
“Riiight, whatever. This “Gaigan” is
my weapon now.”

On the eve of battle…
“Ma’am,” reported the General. “I have found our new super weapon.”
“Please do explain,” insisted the Empress. She leaned forward and her throne and eagerly watched like a little girl being shown ponies.
“Right then. This is the extraterrestrial cyborg, Gaigan. We recently recovered him from the plains north of Tibet and have refurbished him, but kept the same name and scythes, which are quite dangerous. But think of it this way, if he fails as super weapon, he can always be a can opener and turkey carver.”
“Well, I like him. Dispatch him out with the rest of our forces. Now, General, remember. I want you to wipe them off of the face of this wretched Earth.”
“Easier done than said, ma’am.”
“I like your outlook, General. Good luck. Oh, and I’m placing a $20 bet on our Kiryu beating theirs.” The General laughed.
“Knowing our scientists, I’m gonna raise that to $100”

Akira Yuki and his two copilots gently set Moguera down on the rolling grasslands of the Malopolska Hills in formerly southern Poland. Flipping an array on switches, he activated the collage of weapons systems that had been crammed in this 120 m, 160,000-ton robot.
Through the front view screen, Akira watch as Mechagodzilla 2 touched down and Kiryu was dropped off by his Shirsagi support planes on the plains ahead of them. Years back, Moguera was deemed too physically frail to fight the giant monsters that endangered Earth and was destined for the scrap heap. But the JXSDF had had a second thought and Moguera had been brought out of retirement to act as a long-range support for their other units.
On his radar, Akira watch as 4 objects aligned behind him. These objects were the aerial battle cruisers Gotengo, Karyu, Rumbling and Éclair. The “flying battleships” were not the heavily armed titans of the ground based units, but still could pack quite a punch, especially with the Gotengo’s Absolute Zero Cannon, one almost identical to the one outfitted on Kiryu.
Then, out of the corner of the screen, Akira noticed something that surprised him. Apparently when the Chief said he was going to find all the combatants he could, he wasn’t kidding. The
original Mechagodzilla landed off to the side of the formation. This unit had been brought to Earth by the “Black Hole Aliens” back in 1974, but, like every other attempt, had been defeated by Godzilla.
Akane Yashiro, Kiryu’s pilot, was in tactical command of the formation. She scanned the radar screen, searching for the foes, but then picked up a slight signal.
“To all units, enemy detected. Prepare for battle!”
[A/N: from now on, instead of typing out “Mechagodzilla”, I’m merely going to put MG1 for the original Mechagodzilla and “MG2” for Mechagodzilla 2.
2nd A/N: the Empire’s Kiryu will be “E-Kiryu” and the JXSDF’s will be J-Kiryu from now on for clarity and less to type.]
Although barely a speck on the view screen, Akane watched as the second Kiryu lumbered over the grasslands towards the formation. Apparently Gryphus had repainted the Empire’s Kiryu to set it apart from the JXSDF’s one. The Empire’s Kiryu now sported a metallic charcoal gray paint with the horn-like appendages on his head and the tip of his tail painted red.
Doomfire and Gaigan plodded close behind. The once pristine grasslands began to burn away with every step Doomfire took. The Empire was outnumbered, but their plan relied on one crucial element, Phil. Phil was flying high above the clouds, out of the range at which the JXSDF was scanning.
As the Empire came into range, Moguera was the first to open fire. The robot’s arms opened and out shot a pair of Spiral Grenade Missiles. Doomfire dug his way underground, nearly evading the high explosives that were targeted at him. After watching his comrade burrow away, E-Kiryu changed his attention back to the JXSDF forces, querying on their tactics. He quickly chirped a command at Gaigan before launching himself at the JXSDF formation.
Gaigan activated the subroutine in his matrix that only he and Kiryu knew about. He leaped up slightly before vanishing in a flash of light. Moments later another flash appeared, and Gaigan dropped out, right behind Moguera. It was a teleportation subroutine, whose complexity was unlike anything else on Earth.
Gaigan swung his massive claws into Moguera’s back, cutting through the relatively light rear armor and through many circuits. Moguera began to spark wildly and servos began to run out of control. The arm-mounted Auto Lasers fired at random, striking the ally, MG1. Akira was unable to gain any control of the unit.
“Quickly! Separate into Land Moguera and Star Falcon!” ordered Akira. Akira’s co-pilots, Koji Shinjo and Kiyoshi Sato nodded in response and typed commands into their center console. Akira proceeded to the back of the control room and into an elevator, which took him down to the Star Falcon.
The Gotengo and its sister ships opened fire, striking Gaigan with everything they had to protect their comrade from being cut apart. Gaigan teleported away, escaping the onslaught of lasers, masers and missiles.
Moguera split at the waist, separating into the Star Falcon and Land Moguera.

More info on Moguera ]
The Land Moguera scurried away under what control it had to behind a hill, away from the chaos. Koji and Kiyoshi began working furiously to reconnect the severed wires. Hopefully they could fix the battered tank and recombine into Moguera before the Star Falcon was blasted out of the sky.
MG1 had remained unmoving for the entire battle so far. Akane swore at the proving useless unit that just stood there.
The control feed must have been disrupted, she thought. It was proving to be no more than cannon fodder, but as that, it seemed to accomplish it mission.
The ground beneath MG1 exploded as Doomfire launched himself out of the ground, tackling the out-of-date unit. MG1’s armor began to melt as soon as Doomfire had grabbed him. Doomfire hoisted the antique above his head and slammed it down on the ground. The now soft armor buckled under the force, and Doomfire used his massive claws to rip open the soft armor. The plasma cloud that surrounded the volcanic devil burned the internal circuits away.
While Doomfire was preoccupied tearing apart the newly appointed “bait”, MG2 took aim. From his mouth, he fired his Mega Buster ray and his Plasma Grenade from the lens on his abdomen. Doomfire shrieked in pain and slumped away. MG2 prepare to fire his Plasma Grenade again to finish off the beast, but he was in for a surprise. E-Kiryu slammed head on into MG2’s side, sending it flying. MG2 crashed into the ground a ways away, carving a huge groove into the ground from its bulk.
On the other side of the battlefield, Gaigan wasn’t fairing as well. J-Kiryu had pinned it up against the side of a mountain and was pummeling the cyborg with all its fury. There was no time for the subroutine to activate and teleport away. Now was the time to bring the Empire’s secret weapon into play.
Phil banked hard to his right and dove out of the clouds. He strafed J-Kiryu with his neutron blast, giving time Gaigan to teleport away before barreling head long in the Gotengo. The force caused the aerial battle cruiser to slam into its 3 sister ships, Karyu, Rumbling and Éclair, like a set of dominoes. The ships, which were not designed to sustain such an impact, were destroyed instantly.
Phil roared in triumph as he hovered above the decimated ships, but was cut short by a strafing shot from the Star Falcon. He watched the ship bank away, but was surprised as a tank-like vehicle launched itself into the air and combined with the Star Falcon, reforming Moguera. Phil once again roared a challenge and charged at the combined Moguera. He plowed into the vehicle and bit down with his sharp teeth, but was unable to pierce the armor. Moguera counter attacked with its chest-mounted Plasma Maser, its most powerful weapon. At point blank range, the weapon was devastating. Phil was launched several yards and crashed into the ground. He lay there motionless, but wasn’t dead, merely unconscious.
Gaigan also was forced to retreat due to damage. His teleporting ability was malfunctioning and the beating he received from J-Kiryu had caused too many minor problems to be listed. This left Doomfire and E-Kiryu to defeat J-Kiryu and Moguera.
Moguera slowly narrowed the distance on E-Kiryu, its arms never leaving their target. The 2 Kiryu’s began to charge their Absolute Zero Cannons. This was turning into a standoff. None of the mechs made a move. E-Kiryu knew he was on a short stick and was hoping Doomfire would come out of where ever he had hidden himself. As if on cue, Moguera nearly fell into the Earth as a magma fissure opened up beneath him, which was assumed to be Doomfire’s work. Moguera attempted to escape, but the intense heat melted its treads away. Doomfire emerged from the magma, and encapsulated itself around the melting Moguera. A escape pod could be seen firing out of the mechs neck joint before it collapsed from structural failure.
Using Akane’s dumbfounded moment to his advantage, E-Kiryu fired his AZC at his double. Akane looked back just in time to see the extreme low temp light hurtling at her and slammed her fist down of the firing button for her own AZC. The two beams collided, exploding in a wave of cold. The vast grasslands became instantly engulfed in an extreme blizzard. The snow impacting Doomfire’s hide sapped away his heat, causing him to retreat in fear of being snuffed out. This left just the 2 Kiryu’s to finish the fight.
E-Kiryu would have almost been unable to see his double through the blizzard if it weren’t for his sonar, but Akane didn’t have the same luxury as she desperately searched the view screen for her opponent. The last thing she saw was a flash of plasma…
E-Kiryu smirked as he felt his plasma sword drive through layers of armor. He could sense as the power system failed in his opponent and it become nothing more than scrap metal. He wrenched his sword out and hopped back before finishing off the final remaining JXSDF unit with a bolt from his maser.
He turned and trudged away, disappearing into the blanket of snow.
