Cartoon Network Website Shut Down

Wow.

I have no words for this.

I'm....just shocked.

At first, I thought it was the international side. But no, I checked, the US CartoonNetwork.com got hit.

Man, all the games, all the full episodes of their library, and website's history are now gone.

Now, to be fair, I haven't really gone to Cartoon Network's website since...over a decade, but that's just absolutely sucks.

I don't understand. It's one thing for the Boomerang Streaming website to shut down, as that service is ending, but unless I missed an announcement, Cartoon Network the cable channel isn't going anywhere.

So why end the website tied to Cartoon Network?!?

End of an era. Tbf the website has basically been dead since around 2015. The forums got deleted, it wasn't promoted anymore, very few new games got released (also unpromoted), show pages got removed, more and more shows and games got removed, the site's overall look became lifeless too. The only thing it had was a few remaining non-flash games and full episodes of a select few shows. But it's still sad to see it now completely dead. It was such an important piece of my childhood and I will never forget the memories I had with it.

to get more money from Max

Honestly I expected Disney to do this kind of stuff since in Europe all of their websites are way too simple but WBD? Damn it....

What's next? European websites redirecting to Max?
I wouldn't be surprised if that's next, but I hope they don't.
The way more profitable Latin American CN did this months ago.
True, but I didn't think they'll do the same thing in the US.
Man CN just keeps on taking L's.
Like it hasn't already...
How long till CN United States gets shelved at this point?
I don't think Cartoon Network the channel is going anywhere, but it is a shell of former self. Even if CN made the biggest comeback in history, nobody is going to care.
Paramount already does this with Nick and MTV redirecting the domains to one global site.
Well, at least you don't see Paramount shutting down Nick.com in favor of Paramount Plus.

So, there ya go.

Yeah, I don't get it lol

Yeah, it is a shame. I have fond memories going to CartoonNetwork.com when I was a kid back in the late 2000's, mostly through CN Video and playing some of the KND games. I really had a great time there.

But yeah, it's pretty sad now it's gone.

Well, look how that turned out...

If the website for the channel is gone, how long before they just rebrand Cartoon Network as Adult Swim (since that website is still active)? They probably won't shut the channel down, but between lack of new stuff (Teen Titans Go being their only in production show that still premieres on this channel first) and the website being shut down, there's a chance of them rebranding into Adult Swim (similar to The Hub rebranding into Discovery Family back in 2014).

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
1, 2, 3, vive l'Algérie!
But more exciting will be THIS! A new documentary about CN coming soon next year and looks like they even aknowledge Cramp Twins :ack:
