Cartoon Network International News Thread 26.0

I’ve been checking out CN UK’s schedule for Lost Tapes’ premiere week, and for some reason they’re premiering four episodes on Monday morning (image is the rerun slot), one episode on Tuesday, and then ending the premieres from there, presumably for the rest of the week, but knowing CN EMEA, most likely the rest of the month. Are international feeds doing this too, or is the UK just acting weird

CEE will have premieres from Monday to Thursday, for 8 days only, until the 21st.

with double episode premiere on the launch day (May 11th), same for the Monday after (May 18th), while the rest of the days they are having one new 11-minute segment per day.

Speaking of Lost Tapes, apparently the "Blade Games" spot is now airing on linear on CN CEE as well, only like two days after I said it was only HBO Max-exclusive here

When was CEE actually spun off into its own feed? Some say 2007, others say 2009. 2007 was when Poland became 24/7 so maybe that was when it happened?

I think so. And I also think it was the background for CN PL's reindependence in 2009.

The Cartoon Network CEE feed originally launched in 2002, when the Romanian and Hungarian tracks were officially introduced. Later on, Poland separated in 2009 in its own channel and CEE remained with Hungarian and Romanian.

In 2017, Czech audiotrack was added, while in 2024 was the legendary day (back on 18th September) when the current "mega" CEE feed was created with Poland back to the mix, along with the formerly separated RSEE tracks.

When was CEE actually spun off into its own feed?
The first ever CEE feed was back in October 2002 formed by Hungary, Romania and Poland.
Some say 2007, others say 2009.
In October 2009 Poland separated from the CEE feed and became an independent one again until September 2024 when it merged again not only with the CEE feed but also the RSEE one.
2007 was when Poland became 24/7 so maybe that was when it happened?
The entire CEE feed back then went 24/24.

However not all providers offered it 24/24, many still continued to offer the channel timeshared with TCM, the latter having also a CEE feed too.

I never understood why the divergences between HQ/EMEA/Africa and PL/CEE/RSEE were pronounced in 2010 when the rebrand came.

The former group rebranded on December 7 and the latter group on November 22 or 23.

We had a clearer bug, but the PL/CEE/RSEE (and also NL) bug was a lot more gray and I didn't like it.

Might be my favourite CN UK error ever

But they did....

in Spain

Must have been some rerun depository. The same happened to Doraemon on Boomerang (until its late stages of consummation by Cartoonito) where the 80s/90s episodes repeated there. When Boomerang became Cartoonito, only the Oyama-era Doraemon episodes returned to CN.

Another promo for the lost tapes, this time, a throwback to the original series' episodes.

They also began the countdown. It's the same as my V1 prediction posted in my arts thread, but the number is outlined.

Also, the countdown screenbug under the screen

Unfortunately I can't full-screen X/Twitter images. It isn't on at this moment so I can't either screenshot it.
