EMEA never ran it IIRC
They definitely did. CN NL looked a lot like CN Africa in early 2011.

Anyways, I found it more or less. The British promo is almost the same. I had a hunch and I was right: the English promo is less stupid and doesn't contain the spoiler :D

@josie, @BlooMac: Did Cartoon Network France air Detective Conan / Case Closed in English on the English audio track back in 2004?

Sorry, I can't say for sure. I remember seeing that show often, airing around 18.00 cet, I think it was in English as well.

CN CEE continuity before CN Cinema, 10 December 2006. This was one of the rare occasions when the on-screen logo was not shown on the Hungarian subfeed.

At 7:47, my profile picture mascot goes into the website! What a lovely promo!

It's truly unsatisfying for a longtime CN EMEA viewer like me to see more CEE footage than EMEA, surely someone in Portugal, the Netherlands, etc. has tons of 2002~2010 EMEA recordings yet to digitize. The sad fact is that I remember the earlier version of the website promo (the CEE version exists in Polish).

Oh, and EMEA used that movie bumper, but rarely. Before Boomerang EMEA launched, they had CN CINEMA (using the same TOON FILM bumper with Cow used in other feeds but I recall seeing the text say something like CN CINEMA). There were no movies until 2008 when I think they aired long CN specials the playout didn't handle? I mean, I remember watching the KND finale almost haphazardly in December 2008.

From what you told me epheons of ages ago (the handover to CN PT was still fresh in my mind!), some providers (like Proximus) refused to change to the new CN NL until at least February 2011. IIRC, the relaunched feed started in November 2010.

Portugal had a transitional phase too, but lasted less than a month and ran on one provider. I just wanted to see CN Africa and Portugal co-exist in a peaceful environment.

I'm very sorry for you to hear that. But I still love you so much.

Yeah, talk of all those promos that are already in other languages from CN CEE and nothing from EMEA, with their promos in military time "at thirteen hundred GMT", and a whole other bunch of bumpers from my childhood that aren't even online or in English

Cartoon Network Latin America in 1995 (audio track in Portuguese), at the time the signal was the same as in the USA (US Hispanic feed):

The CEE countries have a very large animation fanbase online. The Polish and Hungarian Wikipedias have lots of elaborate articles about cartoons, YouTube has lots of videos in those languages and there are a lot of CEE websites dedicated to animation.

The kids blocks on VT4 (Inges Club, Wakkere Wekker, Boemerang, Stapel, Webcameraden, MyTV, VT4 Kids) are completely lost media and it annoys me a lot. Literally no bumper survived. These kids blocks aired Pokémon, Totally Spies, Batman: TAS etc. People definitely have recordings somewhere.

So yeah, it doesn't surprise me that there are no Flemish recordings of CN.

Same goes to some of the Portuguese ones before 2004. There are little recordings. There are even lost dubs.

Schedule change/update for CN UK in May.
Starting on the 1st, Regular Show returns at 9pm, followed by Adventure Time at 9:30pm.
Power Players will run on late-nights at 11pm and 5am.

The rest still remains, with Gumball at 10pm and then from Midnight to 5am, and Ben 10 will be shown at 5:35am.

And it looks like they're still doing that weird occasional one-off thing with Make, Shake & Jake. it'll replace Gumball from 1:30 to 2:40, but only on the 1st day.
This is becoming more like the Italian schedule!

What?

Cartoon Network UK has no normal EPG listing on today, according to the website, everything is replaced by a "This is Cartoon Network HD/SD/SD+1" message

I noticed that it happened on Sky EPG Website, and maybe other websites.

EDIT: I guess its back to normal.

Seems that it's a Sky only issue (and anything that uses Sky's data), it's only for today though.

I thought they’d close it down, because it’s written “This is Cartoon Network”. But finally, it’s an issue, just like what happened when there was a schedule issue on beIN Website (and sometimes Sat.TV), where TV Schedule is different from the current show that is being aired. On Jawwy TV and other providers’ websites that provided CN MENA schedule doesn’t have this issue, and CN Arabic doesn’t have a schedule page in the website like before.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
