That little "featured music" segment was so wrong and yet so accurate it almost wasn't parody.
Last week, minds were scarred and Tom was welcomed into the [as] pantheon for real with the usual affection, hatred and sheer F'n disbeleif that we saw anything like "Porkin' With The Peters," ever.
Speaking of horrible things, Tom's "gentlman's perm" killed a little of my soul to look at. Not as much as the Mayor busting his Fabulous Baker Boys riffs in a way that poisons the spirit.
And hey, Fred Willard. Alas he didn't ever say "HEY, WHA' HAPPENED!?" But it's a small price to pay, because no one does smarmy like him. Or references
Glengarry Glen Ross with as much skill.
Things I didn't ever need to see, #215: Tom's cheese-fry eating mouth. I so disgusting, it makes people want to vomit. Out of their asses.
Married News Team! This episode has everything except a toll-free suicide hotline.

Oh yeah, and "Grab a Dog" makes me very damn glad it's not 1994 anymore.
Nice fake ending there with the Mayor poisoning everyone (or maybe not) and the whole thing collpasing into the bizarre-ass Hobo Zoo song. This was another "Tom fails spectacularly," kind of plot but it felt less repettive, mostly because they brought the Mayor's lunacy in and exactly the right moment and went for "Pioneer Island" esque sorta madness. Good Job, Tom.
