Synopsis: The Straw Hats have arrived at a volcanic island that does not show on the New World Log Pose. Luffy in his enthusiasm votes to go to the island, though most of the crew were reluctant to go because of the sea of fire blocking their way.

A Battle in the Heat! Luffy vs. The Giant Dragon!
Synopsis: A desperate cry for help leads the Straw Hats to Punk Hazard, an island engulfed in flames and inhabited by a mythic beast that could make short work of Luffy and the gang.

I'd already watched this arc subbed a few years ago (FUNi put the dub on a 2-year hiatus after Fish-Man Island and I didn't feel like waiting), so it'll be interesting to hear what the dub sounds like.

Anyway, if you haven't watched those arcs that Toonami had to skip over (you had eight months--time's up!), you might be a little lost. The Eleven Supernovas made their debut in Sabaody Archipelago, and they're going to slowly make their comebacks starting with this arc.

It may interest you all to know that the USC marching band are using songs from One Piece for the halftime show at the football Trojans' season opener.

Nami, we don't need to be reminded that you have a figure like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree.

If a wall of fire didn't stop them, I doubt a metal gate and some keep out signs will do the trick.

Punk Hazard is admittedly a cool name for an island that's constantly on fire.

So it wasn't the dragon talking it was a pair of legs sticking out of it. That makes much more sense.

Well, Zoro, thank you for killing a rare and likely endangered animal whose homeland you invaded. Imperialist.
