Bully?

I keep on hearing a lot of things about Bully, some people say its great while others say it sucks. What do you think? is it worth getting?

Bully is fun, has a cool soundtrack, the textures look even better than the GTA series, but it's too short. I've just finished this last night and I've possibly spent about 9 hours on it. The thing is that it's not that there is an extreme lack of missions and stuff to explore, but it's really easy to acomplish each mission. The only reason you could fail one is the GTA engine freezes on you (happened twice) or a random police or prospects goes after you in the middle of a mission due to what time it is in the game.

I'll say this now. The prospects and police are just the biggest pain in the ass I've ever dealt with. The game is fantastic and I don't mind a challenge, but these guys are what made me angry at the game. There is a ton of things you can get away with in this game, but other students and adults get away with even more. Prospects and police will hunt you down to no end for the stupidest crap ever. Even in GTA you could get away with killing about 10 people in a car before you could get one star. Yet these guys react more to the dumbest set of unwritten rules I've ever seen. So I'll break it down for you.

1) If you punch a girl, a little kid, or an adult these guys will come out of the shadows ninja style and chase your ass down forever. And you want to punch little kids in this game because they're so damn annoying to you.

2) You can punch hobos, but if they punch you the police will chase you down. I guess if you let a hobo kick your ass you deserve to loose your citizenship.

3) 95% of the time when a fight breaks out against you and you didn't start it, they will chase just you down. 5% of the time they'll go after the NPC's instead.

4) Trying to steal a motor bike is the worst thing you can do since I've had six prospects spawn all around me trying to get me after knocking a guy off one.

5) They say "Pulling the Fire Alarm", "Not wearing your Uniform", and "Kissing Girls" is against school policy, but never once have I got in trouble for this. Even in clear view of these people. Except one time I got a sweater sent by my mother to the head office where I had to pick it up as a mission. After I was forced to change into it the secratary chased me down because I wasn't in uniform anymore. WTF is up with that?

6) A safe house and the Teacher's Lounge is the best place to escape these guys when you're trouble meter is very high.

7) Adults will punch you for no reason in town. I'm serious. I've been knocked off my bike before by some random busniess man and he stole it. The moment I fought back the cops went after me because of the adult rule. WTF Rockstar!

8) Curfew and Truancy have seperate rules. First off both are bad for you in town and off campus. However only during Curfew will you see other students get hunted down. If you're in a group of kids and it's during class time they only go after you. To me that's completly unfair when 1/2 of the time you're trying to travel to class or you're in the middle of a mission with a ton of other kids doing something.

9) You can in fact fight back against prospects, but they can easily grab you in the middle of a combo so you can't beat them. If you do in fact get them down a lot, then another will ninja his way behind you and grab your ass. Police are just invincible like in real life and if they're on their bikes you'll never ever knock them down.

All in all this is a fantastic game and worth buying, but those damn police and prospects just made me angry and kept screwing you over for stupid reasons.

Has anyone else here bothered to pick this up or play this yet? I'm shocked how quiet people here have kept this and God Hand. I know 5 great RPG's just came out (3 for PS2 and 2 for DS), but there are a ton of people playing Bully right now.

I'm kinda upset right now that there are no codes for this game like there other titles. I'm guessing the reason this is happening is because Rockstar is trying to keep Jack Thompson away from them as much as possible. Otherwise we could have cheat codes to get rid of Prospects and Police just so players can have fun. That's all I want to do when I finished this game was beat up people and cause trouble for as long as I want without anyone getting in the way. Yet Rockstar refuses to let us do that even though the game rating wouldn't change with that code in place.
