Boyband Appreciation Thread

50 years ago (like the Beatles 10 years earlier), the Bay City Rollers invaded America with this hit!

I'll never forget the time when Blue collaborated with Elton John.

And I feel like there's potential for an appreciation thread in this sub-forum on girl groups like Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, TLC, Little Mix etc.

Who remembers these guys?

Pretty sure at least "Back for Good" was a big hit here in the States. it still gets radio play on soft rock stations.

Yes, that's what I was implying when I said they were on the verge of a breakthrough in America. "Back for Good" was a hit but they could never capitalize on it because they broke up shortly thereafter.

Jackson 5 or the Osmonds?

It also didn't help that Robbie Williams left Take That during that period since he left when "Never Forget" was topping the UK charts.

Even though it's 10 years old now, I think this "WatchMojo" video holds up (and there hasn't really been any "Boy Band" phenomenon in the last 5 to 10 years - not like previous Boy Band eras).

I think the list is still correct.

Menudo on Silver Spoons

Jackson 5 on Flip Wilson

The Beatles, Jackson 5, the Osmonds and NKOTB are referenced

I know I'm a little late on this, but RIP to Mr. Wayne Osmond

NSYNC's biggest hit in the UK was interestingly enough, "Girlfriend", their last single before their initial 2004 split and was remixed by the Neptunes with Nelly as featured artist. It foreshadowed Justin Timberlake's solo career due to its pop-R&B sound.

Did you know that the Bay City Rollers had 2 shows during the 70s?

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
