2/4: Batman #6Fraction and Jimenez, perfect team. Jimenez's layouts are something. A lot nice little character bits throughout like Bruce showing Damian how pissed he was (which shows this guy is human after all), Bruce immediately supporting Tim's choice to take a break. But i can see how long time readers would be annoyed it seems the Bruce-Damian dynamic has been rewound again. Bruce was kinda corny around Zeller but I guess that was just an act.
The last page reveal... oh, man.
3/4: Batman #7
I think Joker revealed he knew Batman=Bruce about 10 or 11 years go? Either Death in the Family or Endgame? So he was telling the truth that he remembers everything. Or the time in the tank with the crown gave him the clarity to figure it out.
And he only really wanted to warn that an assassin is being sent to kill Bruce? Didn't see that coming. I suppose Fraction assumed we'd all think Joker was the mastermind pulling the strings.
4/1: Batman #8
Nice having Alan Scott as a guest. Great banter. Heh heh, no such thing as a free lunch. Hmm. Survival. Revenge. Personal. Coming at a forever problem with a temporary solution. Build it for permanence. Lot of food for thought.
Did some digging and seems like about 2 years during Gotham War it was implied Savage's powers are now bound to Gotham after pieces of the meteorite that gave him his powers turned into a Lazarus Pit under the city because it turns out the meteorite brought Lazarus resin with it to Earth. So Savage is cooked if this pit gets destroyed?
Wow, Poison Ivy is the mayor. Wow. Operation Peregrine. Radical transformation. Quid pro quo. Turning GCPD into army? Rut-ro.
People either hurt or help each other. Succinct. Goodness isn't transactional. Staying brave and being wise is harder. Hm.
Here we go. War on Batman.
5/6: Batman #9
Wow, pretty surprised anyone got caught but it being Barbara Gordon tracks with her communicating with everyone and destroying drives and what not -- she was going to be stuck in that tower. Jim...
Spoiler reacting to the news with her motorcycle, lol.
The fact alone that Batman was able to install bollards into the streets, heh.
Wonder how long Tim is going to stay on the sidelines.
Nice heart to heart between Batman and Robin then they blow up the manor.
5/13: The Barbara Gordon: Breakout spin off comic reveals she indeed let herself get caught on purpose and all the servers were already dealt with. She wanted to get caught in order to get thrown into Savage's new Supermax prison and investigate from the inside because she was hitting dead-ends. Unfortunately, there are real criminals along with innocent people who Savage marked as "enemy" and had them arrested and sent to kangaroo court. And the guards are all corrupt ex-cops most of them fired/arrested by Jim.
6/3: Batman #10
Ah, a middle finger to Savage, still fighting crime and displaying a new Batsignal. Batman always wins, heh. Once I read only 1 server was working, it was a trap, lol.
