Anime shows you would like to see redubbed?

I'd like Sailor Moon redubbed. If anything, I'd like someone to "fix" the edits in the CWI dub. It's annoying to hear Fisheye being called a "woman" when "she" has a man's chest.

I would like Sailor Moon redubbed just to have it rebroadcast (unedited), since I missed out on the Toonami run. All I have to go on is the first two seasons from the '95 syndication, and everybody keeps saying the Japanese version as a whole is great.

For example, in the sub, Zero's voice is that of a badass leader you'd follow to the ends of the earth (I would ), but in the dub.....

I don't know, I've listened to the seiyuu recently, and while he's alright as Lelouche, his Zero's really hokey.

It's been said before, but Sailor Moon. I mean some of the voices were actually decent in the Dic dub, like Rei's and Ami's. Just get them some better voice directors, and they'd be fine.

I don't think it was dubbed in the states...but it WAS dubbed at the Phillippines in English. <_< Boy, that was rendered unwatchable. >_O Voltes V needs a new dub. By ADV....or even FUNimation.

I still can't believe that Melissa Fahn isn't voicing Nunnully. She would make a perfect Nunnully in my opinion. There's a reason why Rebecca Forstadt hadn't gotten work for years before Code Geass and her Nunnully "performance" is proving it on a weekly basis.

Isn't she doing theater exclusively now?

And I like Bosch's Lelouch. Then again, I view Code Geass (having not seen any episodes but what's aired on AS) as a super robot show on way too much caffine, so all the over-the-top performances are great fun to me, hence while I like Bosch's Lelouch (not as much as Freeman's Jerimaiah, but it's damn hard to top that).

I'd like an uncut redub of Sailor Moon (including Sailor Stars,which I've never seen,though I have read the manga version)....done by FUNImation,which I feel does the best anime dubs....

Don't we all. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening, as Toei Animation probably wouldn't allow it.

I'd like to see the Yu Yu Hakusho movies dubbed with the FUNi cast. Not only are the current movie dubs terrible, it would be nice just to have some continuity between the series and movies. That, and bring the Eizou Hakusho OVAs over >.>

It may happen someday, or it may not; but I do agree that dub was handled horribly.

Since we're on the subject of animes in need of redubs, my personal pick would be that of Vampire Princess Miyu. When I watched the series On Demand via Anime Selects, I could not stand some of those voices (including the main character's voice).

If I could choose to redub any anime, it would be the Slayers movies. ADV's dub of the movies wasn't terrible or anything. But I'd like to see it redubbed just for continuity's sake (ESPECIALLY Premium) because I thought the TV cast fit the characters better.


I'd also love to see the Card Captor Sakura series get dubbed by the cast from the second movie.

I wouldn't mind seeing Neon Genesis Evangelion redubbed. Nothing against the English cast(It was an average dub), but it would be cool to see a California studio or even FUNi do a dub for it. With the movies coming out now, there could be that chance.

And ditto for a new Sailor Moon dub.

Windaria -- This movie is practically BEGGING for an uncut, faithful version.

That's probably the only show I can think that needs to be redubbed entirely.

As for individual parts redubbed, I'd nominate Lodoss TV and Slayers I (eps. 1-12). The principal characters were fine in both, but the extras and inconsistent vocal changes are not. (IOW, have Lisa Ortiz redub her role of Deedlit in the episodes where she doesn't speak for her, and Veronica Taylor and Crispin Freeman desperately NEED to replace their duller first counterparts in the first few episodes.)

If Anno lets them be dubbed. But I'd rather have the original ADV cast, with the changes made in the previous movies, director's cuts, and any other changes that need to be made. But that's if ADV exists long enough to get them. But with an LA dub, at least Shinji and Rei could keep their original voices, since their voice actors moved to LA, and with FUNi, some others could, since both ADV and FUNi are in Texas.
