I thought that it was a pretty good video. My favorite parts were Kaiba's line "I liked him better when he was called Tristan," Pegasus forcing Kaiba to watch Spice World with him, Kaiba's comment on how history and fan-fiction can be combined and the robot saying that he could explain away all of the inconsistencies. The DBZ Abridged references were kind of neat. Kaiba being a robot felt a bit too random for me, but I thought that was the point after awhile.

Eh, I've been on my second strike for like 2 years now. What'd you get hit for, live-action?

My stupid St. Patty's Day video. It had, like, 10 seconds of One Piece footage (if that).
Youtube is freakin' lame.

Yeah, never touch Toei.

Like, ever. All I ever get hunted down nowadays is by Spain and Italy.

I've said it before, but there's a method of staying under the radar that has been pretty successful for me and WeeklyTubeShow. Don't use any keywords in your tags, title, or description, that they could use to find you. "Luffy, Goku, Super Saiyan, Vegeta, ext." These are all words they will search for to find videos. Either don't use them, or censor a letter. It's not pretty but it beats losing subs and views.

Or you could find an irregular character that resembles a letter. Use a capital "I" instead of a lowercase "l" for example. The search won't pick up on that either.

More easily than if your videos had gotten yanked, that's how. (-:

New UnAbridged Podcast!

This week/month/year's podcast features Unwardil and SamTheGreek, and we talk about how offending and alienating your viewers can be fun! Listen for two hours of conversation between people you likely don't know.

But I didn't tag One Piece or mention it in the description at all! It was mostly composed of Code Geass material, and only had a short clip of One Piece. It was also up and running with no problems for more than a year... a year and a half I think. So someone either flagged the video, or the machines finally picked up on it... despite the fact that I cropped, zoomed in, and sped up the frame rate.

So yeah, I think someone flagged it.

But I know those guys. :p

^then how will new viewers find you?

The way they should be found: Word of mouth.

I'm a stern believer in the fact that if you're indeed GOOD, people will talk about you. I listen to podcasts totally unrelated to Anime or Abridging, and I hear references to LK and TFS all the time. I tell people on message boards/forums all the time about Antfish's, CountAbyss', and skins' & thumswayup's series.

Most of the Abridged Series I watch are through suggestions from other people (the rest are made by my friends). I've never tried to find an abridged series by searching for the title. There's too many 12 year-old garbage products for that, and I think most of the internet knows that by now.

So yeah, I think someone flagged it.

Heh, that's not possible. There's no way to flag a YouTube video for copyright infringement of a company.

Someone could only flag a video if it was THEIR copyrighted content being taken.

It was a bot, dude. It happens. YouTube is getting a lot smarter with their bot. Hopefully, now that the whole thing with Viacom is over, they'll stop dumping so much money into making that bot better.

I recently finished editing Mermaid Melody Abridged Episode 2. We're trying our best to make a really good girly abridged series (extra sparkles FTW). There aren't that many out there, and I think there is a really big niche for series that cater specifically to the girl demographic, especially since there are only a few quality shoujo series that still update. Not to say that things like YGOTAS thand Team Four Star's DBZ Abridged don't have some cross gender appeal, just that the shows that are super popular with girls just don't get as much abridging love.

This episode is a huge improvement from the first. I think our script is pretty solid, but we're still working on making it more concise. We'd really appreciate feedback. (Material is PG-13)

I had to upload it in two parts because the audio became horribly off-sync about halfway through the episode. Anyone else have that problem?

Ah. Keyboard Kroze has finally appeared on the Internet.

Except you'll only find live ones in Anime Expo and Otakon.

Oh and there's some other guy too that'll be there.

Sehanort's Digimon episode was certainly interesting. Personally I think this series could be funnier with just abit of character development. Just seems like one or two rely one single running gag e.g. Devilmon liking One Piece and hasn't really added another dimension yet. I still think it was good though and look forward to DATAS 10.
