I'm surprised no one has posted about this yet.

The skinny:
- FMA: Brotherhood not only stays on the air, but remains at 12 mid/4 am. Show goes into repeats, though, starting at the beginning on August 14th.
- Kekkaishi is now new all month long at 12:30/4:30 am (was originally pre-empted on August 14th and 21st).
- Bleach movies 1 and 2 back-to-back August 14th. Note because of this, the encore of that week's episode of Kekkaishi is pre-empted.
- The new season of Bleach still premieres on August 28th, but will now air at 1/5 am.

Good thing Brotherhood is staying on the air; bad Bleach of all shows is getting shafted?

Either the filler is that bad, or they got back to thinking that 1 am is a good time for premieres (it kinda worked before when Bleach was 12:30-1:30)

Well, what do you know! It looks like the Saturday block won't have 2AM encores after all!

Weren't Bleach premieres ALWAYS at 12:30am or 1am if not before MID (11PM), which it can't be due to the comedy shows?

Bleach has been consistently coming in the top 3 ratings wise with reruns at 1 AM. So can't see why they would move it. If the new episodes don't do any better than the reruns it still will be a success.

I actually miss the one hour bleach premieres. I was hoping they would breeze through the filler arc =/ I wanna see me velonica on my TV screen ...And not in like 22 weeks either

You know, after the insanely long break we're just getting out of, one would logically think that they'd speed through this filler. But I think the reasoning behind not doing this is because the english manga is just getting through Ichigo vs Grimmjow, which is where the last anime run ended.

Basically, by not speeding through the anime filler, it (ironically) lets the manga get farther ahead. Granted, it'd also make sense if, at the same time, Viz speeds up the manga just a tad (it's actually the only WSJ series running in their magazine that doesn't get an average of four chapters a month...), but whatever.

I say why air this filler because
1. we don't really see the characters in future arcs (and no I don't count that soccer episode)
2. there is a much better filler arc to air (such as season 11 for example - which, granted eludes a variety of shikai that has not been released, it does add to several characters a lot more than...this...filler =(

well at least there is new bleach right  come on velonica just a loong time to wait

What the frak I thought Venture Bros. was coming back in August? hmmm hopefully sometime in September. I'm still making up my mind about Keikashi. It could be one of those stupid shows that gets better a little more serious (not dark and harsh or anything just more focused and dramatic) but if it keeps being kind of boring low stakes action and cake making then I don't know I might give up on it. Hell, if it just became about making cakes that might be cool too.

The next two episodes are pretty awesome and no they are not about cakes.:anime:

It's not like Adult swim will play the whole opening, since now they've started cutting up openings for Kekkaishi and Fullmetal.

That's because the episode lengths for those two are slightly longer than Bleach's. As long as they continue to cut the preview, the omake segment and reduce the ED to 30 seconds, they should be able to play the full opening.

The schedule changes include weekly presentations of “InuYasha” at 12:30 AM and 4:30 AM (Central time) beginning on Sunday, August 29th. Both presentations will be of the same episode. The Cartoon Network is either getting ready for “InuYasha: The Final Act” or giving the audience two chances, including a better chance at 12:30 AM, of watching and (or) recording one of the first 167 episodes, since episode one will be presented twice on August 29th after being presented on August 22nd at 4:30 AM.

Adult Swim doesn't really care whether or not they're airing filler, it's just more Bleach to them. Same goes for Viz, they'll continue to dub no matter if it's canon or not as the show is still a big seller.

Only the fans really care about it's canon status. Granted, viewers WILL KNOW that this is filler (unless they haven't seen anything since the Bount arc) as it's completely obvious, but still, there's no reason from a programming point of view to just skip 22 episodes of a series. Especially when the episode number cards would clearly jump from "Bleach 167" to "Bleach 190".

Final Act just began recording the other week. I doubt it'll be ready for September 25. I could definitely see it airing sometime in the future, but dubbing is a very extensive process. For proof, watch the documentary "Adventures in Voice Acting". It explains it further.

I don't know what it will be that's coming on 9/25, but I really doubt it's Final Act. We'll know soon enough what they got.

Sango's voice actress confirmed that they just started dubbing Final Act in May, which was three months ago

there was a segment after the preview in bleach like naruto?

Also, why WAS Bleach considered for AS but Naruto wasn't. It was just as violent. More so sometimes...
Naruto vs. Gaara VS. Ichigo Vs. Zaraki

Naruto Vs. Orochimaru (NS42) VS. Ichigo Vs. Grimmjow

Yes, there's a comedy bit at the very end to close out each episode. Like Naruto, they're cut for time, so they don't air on TV here.
