Here's a picture of the little girl.

I found it via Yahoo!

That's terrible. I hope her family is holding up well, and I am glad she got her wish granted. Pixar was really nice to do that, too.

That's one heck of a story.

It must have been hard to narrate the really emotional scenes. My sympathies for the family.

And this is after I saw this film for the second time this summer. I read this story and man, does it really make ya think of Ellie. She lived a good life and like this young girl, never really had the chance to live out her adventure. I hope that the family of young Colby will continue to cope with their daughter's passing. May she forever spread her wings and take to the skies.

True..
So, that one should get merged with this one.

Done.

I appreciate that Pixar isn't flogging this for the PR value, partially because that would be tacky and partially because they'll no doubt be deluged with similar requests (not all legitimate).

I also would not be surprised if it were Pete Docter himself or one of the other Pixar brain trust members who made the visit.

I like the dog with the high-tech collar in this movie. And what is this sad story about a girl? I didn't catch that post.

The very first post on the first page. This isn't the talkback for UP, but the thread for the good deed Pixar did for a terminally ill child.

This gives me a whole new level of respect for Pixar. Now I'll definately go to all their movies, wether they look interesting to me or not.

:crying:...That was a sad story. At least Colby got to see "UP" before dying.

May she rest in peace

That's so sad. :( May she rest in peace.

Major respect to Pixar for honoring her final wish.

Oh gosh, just so touching, and so sad. I feel for the parents, but at least she got her dying wish. Kudos to Pixar

RIP Colby :crying:

A child's ability to accept death is heartbreaking yet awe-inspiring.

The good die young, as they say. Maybe we adults need to take a look at our children and emulate their courage and strength a little.

I heard about this story last week and it had me in tears. Colby was such a brave little girl. :crying:

One of the big plot points in Up is how Ellie manages to inspire Carl (and, indirectly, Russel) to chase their dreams and live life to the fullest even after she's gone. I like to think that that message helped comfort Colby and her family. I know I will definitely think of her whenever I see Up from now on!

RIP Colby

And Norway's unbeaten streak over Brazil continues thanks to their 2-1 victory that led them qualified to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals (second round, first round is the round of 16) tonight.
Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
