General International TV Channels Thread

It seems weird how the English track on the Viasat World channels are handled when the ads are on: the raw feed's promos without the timeslots are overlapping the ads.

Remember to appreciate your niche TV channels that no one knows about or no one watches.
I also bring you some screenshots of Silverline (Movie Channel) that I grabbed yesterday, a niche German movie channel that finally found some budget? and is slowly phasing out their old graphics. Slowly. (The black and white pres is the new one, the neon logo one is the old one.)

Pro TV has confirmed the newest filmings of a one of the well known television series on Romanian television after 20 years of absence, gaining the continuation of it's upcoming season.
"Băieți buni","The Good Boys", will be returning after it's initial release from 2005 on the screens.

I am aware that the age of flashing glossy brandings is over, however the minimalism used by these Discovery-owned channels over here is in my ever-personal opinion unbearable

I like when the pres is simple but includes nice animations. Pure eyecandy, good motion design right here.

Not that unbearable, but I've noticed the new Scandinavian trend is TOO minimalism, which is way too minimal for my tastes.

They used to apply this with idents and colorful branding, but now the channels lack characters and are as bland as white bread

@themidnightlore the problem is there isn't anything aside from some graphics, while , e.g. in the UK And even Italy (incredibly so) they mix these with a real presentation, creative idents and stings.

All of their channels look similar, if not the same

WBD put all the love for the pres in Italy and UK and Poland (and had few cents left for the Nordic channels) /lh
While I do dig my fancy smancy pres, sometimes something very barebones is nice. (Perhaps even too barebones here, though?)

Talking of presentation, why Sky Italia still hasn't switched to the new look? I'm jelaous of the German Sky for that right now... (Unless Comcast really doesn't want to use the Sky One hot pink for Sky Uno and they're trying to find a replacement, or something. Not that they have to make the branding for 3 (+ then some) channels that only Italy has - Adventure, Serie, Collection (+ Sky Classica, Sky Investigation (grab Sky Witness for that) and Sky Uno+)...)

RTVE will be launching a cultural channel by June, in collaboration with Arte [I do not know if it will be under the RTVE brand or if it will be branded as Arte España] This marks the first time RTVE will have a cultural channel since the closure of Cultural·es [formerly Docu TVE] in 2010.

The launch of the channel has been moved to late 2026 or early 2027, and will be named RTVE Cultura. We even have a logo already! I just hope it has branding in line with the rest of RTVE.

The final VICELAND is coming to a close, as SBS Viceland will be rebranding back into SBS 2 on August 21st, just short of 10 years since it became SBS Viceland in November 2016.

We have a logo, it's just a bold 2 next to the existing logo. It also seems to be using the same branding that the main SBS channel adopted in late May.

In addition, Channel 10 is launching a new channel on August 10th! It's 10+1. For some reason Paramount is launching a timeshift channel on FTA in 2026.

Some promos from Reality TV UK dated 2002!

I was looking for something totally different on [bluefrog]'s YT channel (anything Sony Crime, spoiler, there's nothing here on that) but there was this and I think @JulianRO might appreciate this one.

(Also, if anyone follows continuity channels mostly focused on British Television, it would be nice if I get some names? Mostly because I have no idea for where find continuities (if they do exist) of my British Third Rate FTA Channels™️ I'm interested in (Sony Crime, truTV UK (would love to find anything dated in the Sony era (so after the 16th of Febraury 2017) but I feel this is a real tall order, LOL) and YourTV)?)

And in HQ!

Also, that Reality TV logo looked a bit cheap for modern standards (but even from those times' standards, to be honest), but of course, the channel was kind of cheap in general, to start with.

Fast forward to 2026, True Crime is nothing but a crime channel

Before Discovery was plagued by reality, and before DMAX, there was Reality TV
Although something was boiling already in the first half of the 2000s, but still in a moderated manner and not as in the second half of the 2000s, with Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs etc.
E.g. American Chopper

In 2026, culture has literally disappeared from the channel

An article from DigiTurk's magazine from August 2000 in which they announced the launch of Romantica (the Pan-Euro feed, obviously) in Turkey, with Turkish audio:

Yesterday, and without further notices, and just a mention from one of their presenter about the time of rebranding (which occurred at 20:00 KSA), Asharq News Channel has rebranded to Asharq Bloomberg, and the rebrand has turned to Orange.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.
