General International TV Channels Thread

Sometimes I wish that Blaze Italy respawned. (And I live with the delusion that it will happen at one point, as Sky and Hearst are in a good standing relationship (it would be funny if it is in time for the 10th anniversary of the channel in Italy (22nd of March 2017 was the launch date)) and somehow, its final LCN, 127, was left empty on satellite.)

And at least, this one is more plausible than the other channels I wish respawned in Italy (AXN, Studio Universal and in minor measure, ID)... )
I'm afraid you might be disappointed.

My insider + the way the market works.

@RandomMe I kind of understand the French square graphics might have had their charm, but all in all, they looked quite "off" for the 21st century, IMO

Yeah, same for most 2D graphics of the 90s. My favorite era for branding in France was when they had what I call the "coiffeur chic" aesthetic.

Also, about Blaze, it's unrealistic. I don't like the type of programming broadcast by DMAX and similars, all trash and scripted, mio dio allora parlo in doppiaggese, etc.

Same for some other channels The Midnight Lore mentioned. Fat chance.

ID EMEA continuity recorded by myself one hour ago:

You can notice that some promos have subtitles as well. Currently, Orange and iNES are the only providers who offer this channel in RO.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. (/lh + /ref) (Or it was the reverse?)
Joking aside, if only they threw some more Blaze-coded content on Sky Adventure, I think I can be satisfied.

Discovery World EMEA continuity in Hungarian from 30.11.2011:

Notice how, at the end of the promos, the name for "Moscow" was written as "Mockba" instead of "Москва".

I recently saw during World Cup 20206 Match on Antena 1, they showed highlights for usa-paraugay canada-bosnia and then promos, then ad break, then back to the match

I Also Saw The World Cup Opening Match On TRT 1 Earlier On Thursday Evening
And During The First Hydration Break They Switched To Commercial Break For A Few Minutes
Including The Tivibu Go (I'm Using It Right Now) Commercial As Well.

Because Turk Telekom Mobile Subscribers Are Now Enjoying Tivibu Go Without The Internet Limit Quotations,
Which Is Way Similar To The Now Defunct Vodafone TV (Türkiye) Using The Same Method As Well.

BTW: On Most Broadcasters (Alongside With TRT) Which Holds The World Cup Rights
Are Now Showing Few Minute-long Commercial Breaks During The Hydration Break Of An World Cup Game.

For broadcasters it's 1-2 minutes

what Paramount did to Paramount Africa still keeps me up at night first it started with the delocalization of Nickelodeon MTV and the (half) delocalization of Nicktoons then it was comedy central's turn to be taken over by the global team when skydance came into the picture they completely gutted the entire division and shut down the remaining two channels Paramount Africa had

you can see LinkedIn posts of people who worked at that division sharing their last day there and reading this made me sad because you can tell they were really passionate about what they were doing My Watch Is Over: Closing the Final Chapter at MTV Base Africa At exactly 9 a.m. on 01/01/26, MTV Base Africa went off air, marking the end of a 20 year broadcasting run. The silence that followed… | EJINO VALENTINE

...This is all so bleak. It hurts when some of those channels that went down had a staff behind them and were machines that worked fine.
(This also reminds me that the closure videos of CBS Justice South Africa and CBS Reality South Africa still aren't found, no one ever bothered to record those two???)

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
