International Disney Networks Thread Part 17

Honest opinion: Circles, Bounce and Ribbon are better than Signature Strokes in my opinion (those 3 are actually my fav Disney Channel eras).

I also kind of admire how different Disney Channel was during the Circles days, It was a channel for the whole family instead of just kids.

Sorry for saying "tomorrow" today, it's because of the glitch with ASF, I forgot to delete the contents of the original post from Friday.

Signature Strokes could definitely be one of the top rebrands if they'd use it more creatively. I like the current look more than some old ones. But I'm also only in my early 20s so of course my taste can be different. If they would just move on from it eventually because even if it's good, it's not meant to last another 3 to 5 years.

They hopefully can finally move on to the more general audience US look since less kids are watching linear TV and I don't want another channel be stuck like someone is with Dimensional and it's going to be here for a decade. Overkill.

I do like Strokes, I just prefer the other eras, And you're right, I definitely do want Europe to rebrand to Reflections at some point purely because I don't want to see Signature Strokes milked to death like CN does with Dimensional and like Nicktoons did with the eyes era (Nicktoons had that era for almost a decade before they finally rebranded, granted they did update it occasionally, but still).

I'll admit I can understand Reflections having it's problem but every rebrand has something people don't like. If they don't have another rebrand package, just let them go with that. It's not good to have the Strokes for another 5 years especially because the US won't rebrand until then so I don't want to wait for that long. I doubt they would go in current times to have exclusive rebrand just for the EMEA. We all know that Disney has been doing budget cuts for years.

I actually still expect them to rebrand to a 2.0 version of Signature Strokes at some point, which would look similar to the recent seasonal brandings they made

At the same time I do wonder why they haven't done it yet, considering they keep producing seasonal packages and now even a music-themed one:

Weird detached from the 'floor' DOG in Italy (also featuring an ugly drop shadow), I think this was the earliest incarnation of the 2003 rebrand (and it would only be seen on this type of recording anyway due to overscan)
@Francisque Italy ain't exempt from fails (why are Italian recordings always so HQ? Not that I'm complaining but I’d love to see some proper old VHS rips)

A video from the same era (but it's cropped. Btw summer 2003 was such a beautiful and 'free' time for me but I won't get into it :,)). Pippi Longstocking among all this is so random

Just a mini refresh isn't enough. There needs to be a proper rebrand. Rebranding rarely has become a problem for kids networks and I think things will get worse.

I might be wrong, but I think the "flawed" logo there was part of the actual broadcasting, rather than inserted by the playout.
This was to give flexibility with this and stuff like Prime TIme Disney (the live presentation) with animation of the logos, which would become too complex otherwise.

AFAIK this was not the case otherwise
I've never mentioned DC IT was perfect either, but making less mistakes than DC UK on certain aspects at that time

Elsewhere, this was not the case

Still not as bad as what happened to DC+1, TD, PD in Italy, as well as all the French Disney channels for a long time, with black inserted outside of action safe areas, which are still both not as awful as DC US ignoring the overscan guidelines until 2006-7

I finally saw cee hd live on tv and the pq is really MUCH better. Basically same as PL. Took long enough.
I'm happy for ya, well well overdue :)
Technology has evolved so much there still was no need at all to broadcast the channel in SD, especially when it costs peanuts compared to the past to have the channel in HD

Me too, especially if this means having some Bounce era back on screen :( , including Next bumpers.

As for to why this recording is HQ, if you look at the channel, this comes from the Playhouse Disney live presenter Mariagrazia Errigo, who also did other stuff.
So likely it is a copy from Disney themselves, hence the high quality

Spain also had the logo detached from the floor with a line coming from it and even stretched. Latin America used the US size but raised it a bit above the floor due to overscan (though Brazil had some ugly implementations)

Btw that logo you showed me is too skinny @Francisque

DC Portugal continuity from 30th May:

Lot of "Dragon Striker" and a very long Miraculous filler.

To be fair. The western feeds have a lot of long fillers just to stale time as sometimes they got time before the scheduled program. I've seen Miraculous, Wizards, Vampirina and Phineas & Ferb fillers. The same ones that have lasted for months. At least there are a total of 10 or more so it's not as tiring at least. It's a bit more common for Scandinavia with no ads.

Disney Channel Latin America/Brazil in its circles era had a slightly larger screen bug due to the channel being in 480i as opposed to 576i
That's why it was huge???

New episodes of Vikingskool (you read it right, Disney Channel Germany isn't even done with the show yet) have started today on Disney Channel Germany. Hilarious that there's an almost four-year gap between Vikingskool episode premieres on DC Germany.

In the new episode of Miraculous Ladybug this weekend on DC Spain, the opening was in Portuguese even though the entire episode is dubbed in Spanish. :)

I remember this happening in German MLP:FIM where the Dutch intro was used. I think it was all good on Hasbro and SDI's part but Nick messed something up. On DC there's also been a lot of video mismatch like French localisation for Sofia the First in Bulgaria and European Portuguese credits for Hannah Montana on OG DC Spain's final day.

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
1, 2, 3, vive l'Algérie!
