General International TV Channels Thread

Probably a channel like Syfy wouldn't have resisted here unless maybe it was launched earlier than AXN. Even Universal Channel was shut down in 2015.
Only Diva somehow manages to survive in 2026, being the last local channel Universal has.

SBS used to own Prima TV here between 2000 and 2014.

SBS became part owners in TVN in Poland in July 2000: SBS reduces TVN stake

However, they sold their 30,4% of shares in the channel to ITI in December 2003: TVN w 90% należy do ITI
So... How TVN ended with WBD? I mean, if not wrong, it already was with Discovery when WBD happened. But when it ended with Discovery?

From what I know, TVN was owned by Scripps Networks Interactive, Discovery bought this spin-off of the original Scripps company which included the International Channels such as TVN, HGTV, Food Network, and 50% of the UKTV network of channels. Obviously from that point onwards, TVN became part of WBD.

Oh! So it was because Scripps Interactive (whose ghost still roams into WBD's basement)! Well, it makes sense.

Never heard of SBS being involved with TVN, I thought it was wholly-Polish owned until ITI went bust and sold the channel to Scripps.

Has anyone even remotely managed to record Viasat History, Viasat Nature or Viasat Explore continuity from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and/or Finland ever since Modern Times Group sold those three channels to Baring Vostok subsidiary Sabiero Holdings Limited in 2015 (including the Nordic versions of these three channels somehow)?

We really don't have somebody like VGX/TVHolidays or King of TV Sat anymore who full-on specializes in pay-TV channels available on Nordic pay-TV providers. Apparently all everybody cares about these days are the linear TV channels on TV providers in the Baltics/Balkans/CEE/CIS region.

Best you have is will, you should ask him to do more Nordic channels when he has requests open. (Also as he's one of the few that ever catched the Estonian Duo channels??? Like, before seeing continuities taken by him, I never saw how the former Sony Channel and Sony Turbo Baltics (Nowadays Duo 3 and Duo 6) turned out (Spoiler: better than what happened in Russia. .red/.black/.sci-fi are white bread quality for how boring their pres does look..))

Adult channels only air between 23:00 and 05:00 CET in Hungary.
The mosaic/PIP channel also timeshared with the big three (not listed).
As for the documentary channels (e.g. Travel Channel or Viasat Explore) did timeshare with adult channels 6 hours a day. They did air depending how the cable/satellite provider they're on

The European feed of Rai Italia lost the rights to Giro d'Italia for no given reason, but it still airs on other feeds such as the Americas one. Just checked the Americas schedule.

Yesterday was the "birthday" of Game One Music HD. Birthday in quotation marks because being a secondary channel carried only on few French cable providers really makes information about its existence quite rare (and proably always slotted to be a footnote into Game One's existence.)
I consider its birthday the 29th of May as it seems it was the earliest apperance of it, on Free?
