General International TV Channels Thread

Forgot to mention, looks like CC Romania is airing Tales of TMNT in English with romanian subtitles instead of the romanian dub that is on Nickelodeon & Nicktoons
Not sure if is good to post it here

I don't feel like watching Eurovision this year because of complex issues I won't tell (I mean, don't watch videos on the subject, touch grass for sanity), but I have something to tell

This will be the last ESC on BVN, as the closure of the channel was approved on April 30, being proposed in September last year as part of cost-cutting measures at the NPO.

And RTÉ 2 has the guts to air the Father Ted ESC parody special on Saturday at 9pm.

That's all I'm going to say

I'm not going to watch or care about Eurovision in any way either, to be honest... (and I normally would have cared a bit)

Not that the Rai commentary for Eurovision is good. (...It's the reverse, it's cringe? No idea how San Marino fares for that, but. perhaps, Rai 6 RTV San Marino takes it more professionally?)

I feel the same about Eurovision this year. The only thing I'll see from the first semi-final is Poland's performance, the song my country had this year (Pray) is quite decent and I'm hoping that will end up on the final.

I'd rather watch the news until I get tired from a news overdose. I will monitor a limited amount of the contest though

What's worse is that since 2024, Rai Italia has been airing the semis on delay. That's because they don't put Un Posto Al Sole at another time. They still have faith in the usual order (L'eredità-TG1-Un Posto Al Sole-primetime) and they still have to air the Rai 2 pre-show on delay.

Also, Here In Türkiye Since TRT (Our Main Broadcaster) Was Discontinued Airing ESC Back In 2013,
There Are A Lot Of Some International Channels To Air The Contest In Its Entriety.

According To Tivibu's Schedule, This Year's Eurovision Song Contest Final (Via France 2)
Will Not Air On TV5Monde Due To Channel's Ligue 1 Soccer Coverage Commitment.

However, On The Digiturk Platform, It Will Air Live On Rai 1 From Italy
Because It Is Already Carries This Channel For Us Since Digiturk Was Launched In 2000.

But Rai 1 (With Its HD Bug) On Digiturk Is In Standard Definition,
Because Digiturk Gets This Channel In HD From Eutelsat's Hotbird 13° Satellite,
And Downconverted From High Definition to Standard Definition Quality.

Also In Azerbaijan, This Year's Eurovision Song Contest Final Will Be Airing Live On İctimai TV.

Rai Italia prioritized La giostra del gol (revived as a channel original), meaning that the semi-final, including the pre-show, started at 21:15 Lisbon

Fitst time? A little late, even SBC Seychelles has the money to licence it from the BBC

Reportedly this only affects the over-the-air licenses

FilmBox? More like "Definitely not Canal+"
How glad I am that Mezzo, being only half Canal+, can't be rebranded to look like every other Canal+ channel. (The ghost of Lagardère would curse them, perhaps...?)

So, the logo has reveal.
Actually, Canal+ should have used the black box logo and put FilmBox in it, and then under it the name of the genre with different colors.

Also, if FilmBox became FilmBox+One, then FilmBox Extra should instead become FilmBox+Two or FilmBox+Variety. This isn’t Sky UK, where Sky One exists.

In other news, Canal+ Sport 6 will be launched, and current they registered license for the new channel.

CANAL+ Poland submitted an application to the National Broadcasting Council for a satellite license for the new CANAL+ Sport 6 channel, according to "Presserwis".

Piotr Kaniowski, spokesman, director of PR and internal communication at CANAL+ Poland, asked by satkurier.pl about CANAL+ Sport 6, confirmed that CANAL+ is considering launching an additional channel, but without disclosing any details.

In turn, Tomasz Ćwiąkała announced on TikTok that after returning to CANAL+ Sport from the new season, he will focus on foreign football, commenting on the matches of the Spanish League and the UEFA Champions League, and occasionally also the Premier League, with a clear emphasis on LaLiga and Champions League.

Currently, only until the end of May, the rights to LaLiga EA Sports are owned by Eleven Sports, with a sublicense granted to CANAL+. This means that fans can watch 5 matches of each round only in Eleven Sports, and the remaining 5 only in CANAL+. Broadcasters alternately use the right of the first choice of the match, which is why FC Barcelona matches appear once in Eleven Sports, and another time in CANAL+. The exception is the meetings between Barcelona and Real Madrid, i.e. the famous El Clásico, which are broadcast on both stations.

It is still not clear whether Robert Lewandowski, whose presence is of great importance for the popularity and viewership of the Spanish league among Polish fans, will continue to play for FC Barcelona from the new season.

Also, Canal+ Extra expands to 18 channels in the next season, and currently its 7 channels.

Currently, CANAL+ Poland offers 7 permanent sports channels and 6 event channels launched when necessary, e.g. with parallel broadcasts. That's a total of 13 channels. In exceptional situations, such as the UEFA Champions League, the broadcaster also launches an additional 11 channels: CANAL+ Extra 8-18. Sports broadcasts also appear from time to time on CANAL+ Premium.

Viasat History will get a new look, following the footsteps of Viasat Kino. Explore, Nature and the soon-to-be-renamed Epic Drama may also follow.

...What this could even mean for the Hungarian Viasat-branded channels? Unless Antenna can happily ignore that.

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
