    I think I had an epiphany- the reason later-era Qubo acquired so many old and/or cheap shows was because they cost less to acquire per episode.

    Ion was never loaded in cash, so yeah... plus for return in investment picking up Hawaii Five-O reruns was more worth the price to them than picking up shows for Qubo.

    In my opinion, the Timeless Child plot is better(although still crap) because, mainly, it keeps its some of its mysteries as mysteries at the end. For example, we don't know the species or backstory of the Child prior to being experimented on by the Time Lords.

    Meanwhile, the Cartmel Masterplan was made to make the Doctor a mystery again, but by the end of Lungbarrow, we know that he is a reincarnation of the Other, we know who the Other really is, we know the Doctor's family, we know how Susan fits in, and we even know how Time Lords "reproduce". In essence, we're back where we started- knowing too much about the Doctor.

    In that respect, although Cartmel himself denies it, the Timeless Child is better than the Masterplan at doing the one thing the Masterplan was created to do.

    Do 20 , to have content, variety and see what sticks and works and what doesn't work...plus content for HBO Max because streaming services just make stuff to look like they are doing something.

    I'm curious what you think the appeal of She-Hulk is. I get the feeling this is like the division in fandom for Red Sonja: Some people see her as a feminist icon, the other half see her as erotic fantasy. I say this as a fan of She-Hulk, who has some skepticism of what I'm hearing about this upcoming series.

    Do you know the reason why PPGZ never aired in North America, most of Europe, the Middle East and Africa? I still think that the reason why PPGZ never aired in the US was because a dub separate from the Ocean Group one was planned for the American audience, but never materialized.

    Retro kids shows are like fries. They complement both steak(retro grown up shows) and burgers(modern kids shows), but are NOT to be used as a main course. Kids won’t watch a network focused on retro kids shows because they’re focused on new(or at least modern looking) shows, and adults won’t watch a retro kidvid network because they think that they’re too old. Hence, all retro kids networks either change focus or die

    I don't know. Frankly, not as many shows have been burned off or immediately cancelled on CN as Nickelodeon.
