I'm sure that Boing Africa is for smaller providers and developing markets that can't afford the main CN channel, which is why it relies on older archived programming. Similar sort of story in France where a bunch of IPTV providers used to have Boing (now Cartoonito) but no Cartoon Network, due...
CN Africa's main office is in Issy-les-Moulineaux in Paris, CNN has a place on Owl Street, Johannesburg though. It seems that they partner with local companies on their behalf when doing filming or promotional events, including Multichoice.
This is why Cartoon Network and Cartoonito MENA are licenced, and not the African feeds. When CN EMEA (now just Africa) covered the rest of EMEA, it had a licence, MENA took up the licence.
There isn't one because of a couple of reasons:
1. The channel doesn't broadcast to any part of the European Economic Area (EEA)/European Convention on Transfrontier Television (ECTT) area.
2. In a weird sort of way, in Sub-Saharan Africa, the platform operators are responsible (acting as the...
High cable penetration and TCC (The Children's Channel) and KinderNet already proved there was a market and a test case for a Benelux version, too bad their demise was just around the corner, and as @JulianRO pointed out Fox Kids was planning to launch too, also the fact the Dutch market had...
CN UK still have the next bumpers and the other presentation features, bumpers are rarely aired, but you do see sponsorship ones. The only big difference in recent years is the missing time on the promos, that's because they have been premiering episodes early in the morning with multiple...

This is a warning for everyone before I consider handing out infractions:
1. Don't keep talking about the thread if it's about to reach 1,000 posts, it's incredibly trivial, and you don't get a prize for opening a new thread too early or for getting post 1,000.
2. Don't open a thread too...
Before asking questions, please make sure you've made a concerted effort to find the information you are looking for first. On this forum alone, there are 10+ years of in-depth international Cartoon Network coverage, with most things having been discussed at least once. It is practically a...
I think the resolution to this issue is for Paramount Skydance to divest itself from the international side of Cartoon Network after the merger, and setup a two-way IP and trademark licencing agreement, a similar sort of thing happened with A+E Networks in Europe (now Hearst Networks EMEA), when...
Paramount Skydance Corp. is reportedly prepared to sell some of its children's television assets to secure European Union regulatory approval for its $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.
The European Commission is scrutinising the merger due to the significant overlap between...
