"As today's tooth-flossing episode begins, our noble hero was not doing what he does best, but he was doing what he liked next best: communing with nature." "Actually, there are three things I like better, but the animator can't draw two of them and the third is out of season."

    Favorite 'Toon Stock Art

These are the only pieces of stock art I liked enough to save. Yes, Jimmy is supposed to be that low quality.

Cartoons that have aired on all of the Big Three (Disney, Nick, CN) internationally, whether in the same country or in different ones.

Rocket Monkeys aired on Nickelodeon in the US, Cartoon Network in Canada, and Disney Channel in South Korea somehow. This applies to a lot of Canadian and European shows, actually.

Things in animation that haven't aged well

You know, in a way, I guess it sorta fits the '50s aesthetic this show has. Still an odd choice for a show from 2002.

Things in animation that haven't aged well

I've been watching through Jimmy Neutron, and the way they portray the female characters is... strange. Especially their dynamics with the male characters. Overall, I'm just not a fan of the "gender rivalry" trope (boys hate girls, girls hate boys) that this show pulls a lot. Maybe it gets...

Textless materials/production slates/other stuff not intended for viewers that somehow made it on-air

Basically, the music and sound effects were audible, but the voices were muted. Not really something you can convey in a screencap.

MeTV Toons - Network TALKBACK & Discussion Thread

MeTV Toons really should do a block or event where viewers can select the cartoons they want to air. I always loved when TV channels had interactive elements like this.

    General Broadcast/Free-To-Air TV thread

When they go independent, they better not change this logo. It's reminds me of ESPN or Blade Runner and I love it.

Textless materials/production slates/other stuff not intended for viewers that somehow made it on-air

I know this thread is for things left in the shows, but I've got something arguably more fascinating: screenbugs! During the season 2 premiere of The Amanda Show on October 14, 2000 on Nickelodeon USA, in the middle of the "Moody's Point" segment, a production slate for the screenbug briefly...

    Lost dubs of cartoons

Les Zybrides isn't lost. It's actually freely available on the Internet Archive.

MeTV Toons - Network TALKBACK & Discussion Thread

Alright. Wouldn't be the first time a Netflix original airs on broadcast TV (Inspector Gadget 2015 on Universal Kids, The Magic School Bus Rides Again on Qubo, the Danger Mouse reboot on CBBC, etc.)

Wasn't Super Monsters a Netflix original?

Cartoons you used to like, but don't as much anymore thanks to overexposure

I get this a lot with the first seasons of shows, whether it be from following it since the premiere (Kiff, Bluey, pretty much everything PBS Kids between 2017-2023) or catching way too many reruns (Rocko's Modern Life, Stickin' Around, maybe SpongeBob too). I don't really dislike these, but...
