Cartoon Network International News Thread 27.0

Speaking of Gumball, in Canada, why on Earth is Wonderfully Weird not airing on the channel literally named Cartoon Network?! It makes you wonder why Corus even went to the trouble of replacing a homegrown brand with it if they weren’t going to give it its own shows.
Sometimes I wish Teletoon survived and still had originals.

i dont understand why these Italian kids channels always want to spam shows only exception is/were the disney channels I think

if you want to fulfill quotas there are a ton of European shows they can air instead of just one or two
Italian channels can be bad at spamming shows, but to be fair, CN CEE and CN UK Just do about the same for Gumball at late night, CN UK being even worse (starting from 9pm to 5am), due to the European quota.

They have been the trendsetters for that kind of behaviour at late night

Here in arabic . CN arabia just spammed kral sakir every late night while at CN MENA . they aired gumball in the late of the night

I still suggest they air more European shows but that would require them acquiring some shows which I don't think they want to do because they are bleeding money right now so I supposed to easiest option is to spam one show at night

CN UK doesn't have to do it as early as 9:00 p.m. though

They see YTV as a more important brand. Likely also with higher ratings than CN.

That was back when they still had the Nick shows. With those gone, YTV wasn't going to have much new stuff. They don't seem to be making much original programming at the moment.

I appreciate that but at the same time, no one asked them to kill off Teletoon.

Yeah, I didn’t agree with it at the time either. Just pointing out what’s happened since then.

Just like Disney Channel EMEA feeds, nearly all WarnerMedia channels in EMEA are using the INETSAT playout platform for their channels

This has been the case since June/July 2021.

I'm not exactly sure what they used before, but it was something that has the compatibility to be linked/connected to INETSAT playouts, as visible in the transitioning period in 2021 or even nowadays with Cartoonito Turkey - the Turkish channels are still using the old playout, which also explains why they weren't affected by last month's channel outage

CN Latin America remembered Paraguay exists.

Someone had shared a site here where you can see the CN schedule from Hungary a month in advance - what was the site?

CITV:
The Powerpuff Girls (2016)
We Bare Bears (unconfirmed)
Dexter's Laboratory
Cow and Chicken
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Chowder
Ben 10 Alien Force
Adventure Time
Mighty Magiswords
Craig of the Creek
[...]
CITV never aired We Bare Bears. Also worth noting that a good chunk of these aired on the ITV1 block before CITV was a channel.

Although, I remember seeing page for the list of programmes that aired on CITV on Wikipedia and not only it mentions that We Bare Bears aired on CITV (which is false), but it also mentions that Dexter's Laboratory aired on the channel up until 2012, where it last aired there sometime in 2001/2002. IIRC, the Wikipedia page for Detentionaire mentions that it aired on CITV in the UK where it actually aired on Pop Max here.

Not every wiki is spreading misinformation. CN/AS one is trustworthy.

I've seen that the CBeebies and Teletoon wikis also spread false information as well.

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
