From the front page of AnimeSuperhero.com:
"What do Hazbin Hotel and KPop Demon Hunters have in common? Until now, not much. Both are musicals, and both have great animation, but one is meant for a family audience and the other is clearly not. More obviously, one is about a group of demons and the other is about a group of demon hunters. If Charlie Morningstar met Rumi, Zoey and Mira in an alley it would probably not end well.
But this October, they’ll have one more thing in common. The long-anticipated second season of Hazbin Hotel is set to debut then, and Amazon looked at the smashing success of KPDH in its brief theatrical run and got an idea. How about, as promotion, they do a theater sing-along for Hazbin Hotel as well?
It’s a weird idea. KPop Demon Hunters had the numbers to justify this kind of release, with multiple songs from its soundtrack still burning up the charts. There is a demand for Hazbin Hotel’s songs on Spotify — over a billion streams, Amazon claims — but in terms of the phenomenon KPDH is it’s not even close. This is also strictly an adult thing and will probably arrive with an R from the MPA, limiting its audience. But anything’s worth trying once!"
