Right behind you.
I made a spreadsheet chronicling a faux-history of SLAM!, Nickelodeon's short lived action block. In this alternate timeline, SLAM! continues to the present day, and now you get a glimpse of its rise and fall. Shows on this have either aired on Nickelodeon or NickToons in America, with the sole exception being Spider-Man, which aired on Nickelodeon in the UK(maybe as a part of that local SLAM! block) and on sister network MTV here(which was arguably the wrong choice).

Some things to note:
  • Jimmy Neutron actually aired on SLAM! in Australia, where SLAM! started out.
  • From April 2004-May 2005(over a year), the lineup is all Nicktoons.
  • The Marvel cartoons from 2009 last far longer in this timeline, but are cut out early due to both space and the Disney-Marvel acquisition.
  • Franchises on SLAM!(with more than one show on the block) include, in order: Speed Racer, Marvel, Avatar, Power Rangers, TMNT, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Henry Danger.
  • I'd argue the golden age of SLAM! would be April 2013, where TMNT, Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Korra, and Power Rangers share the schedule. Silver age goes to May 2005 with Danny Phantom, Teenage Robot, Jimmy Neutron, Avatar, and Invader Zim.
  • The dark age, in terms of schedules that are fan made, would tie with January 2019 and April 2020(the current one), with only three shows. If we include real schedules, October 2002 would be the dark age with two. And one of them is Super Duper Sumos.
  • The show with the most number of placements is Power Rangers at 22, while the show with the least number of placements is a whopping six-way tie with Butt-Ugly Martians, Robot Wars(both from our timeline), The Secret Show, Tak and the Power of Juju, Miraculous Ladybug, and The Adventures of Kid Danger.
  • Power Rangers and Yu-Gi-Oh! are referred to as such rather than the names of those incarnations at each point in time for simplicity's sake.
  • I wanted to include Winx Club, Kung Fu Panda, and Monsters vs Aliens, but I couldn't fit them in.
  • I almost included Rocket Power and the new series Ollie's Pack, but I didn't. I'm desperate, but I'm not that desperate.
  • Also, since apparently Nick only lost the rights in 2005, I almost made a return for Butt-Ugly Martians. Thankfully, I stopped myself.
  • This would only happen if Cyma didn't believe action cartoons turned kids into terrorists. No joke, that is someone she actually believed, and one of the reasons Constant Payne got scrapped. I am not joking.
  • The reason everything's all "Slot #" is because the timeslot of SLAM! could change. Even in our timeline, SLAM! moved from 4 PM-6 PM to 2 PM-4 PM.

This is cool. I plan on working on my own TL in which SLAM! was even launched in 2001.

If I was in charge of Nickelodeon, let alone even alive in 1999/2000, after seeing DBZ, Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Gundam blow up and become hits, I would've greenlit Constant Payne, picked up The Vision Of Escaflowne, Mon Colle Knights and Yu-Gi-Oh!, put those as well as Invader Zim and......ugh, Butt Ugly Martians.....

I would have launched SLAM! in August 2001 on Friday nights from 7-10PM with the following lineup:
  • 7PM: Mon Colle Knights
  • 7:30PM: Alienators: Evolution Continues
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9PM: The Vision Of Escaflowne
  • 9:30PM: Invader Zim
NOTES: Mon Colle Knights, while not setting the world on fire, manages to do somewhat decently enough to finish it's run. Alienators: Evolution Continues has the same fate, but still is somewhat "in the middle". Invader Zim does better with older audiences, but the older end of the 11-15 demographic likes it as well. Constant Payne and Yu-Gi-Oh!(which ITTL is dubbed by Konami and Bang Zoom!) are the real hits, and the latter becomes of the network's biggest hits right alongside with most of the Nicktoons(which would now premiere on Saturday mornings). The Vision Of Escaflowne does a bit better with girls, but still has a better fate than it did on Fox Kids IOTL.

By Spring 2002, This lineup:
  • 7PM: Super Dumo Sumos
  • 7:30PM: Mon Colle Knights
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9PM: Rocket Power
  • 9:30PM: The Vision Of Escaflowne
NOTES: Super Dumo Sumos pops up, it fails and is burned off at 6AM weekends(in this case a good fate because it sucks), Rocket Power comes in and does pretty good with the 11-15 demo. Payne and Yugi are now proven hits!

By Fall 2002, expansion and relaunch time!:
  • 6PM: Butt Ugly Martians
  • 6:30PM: Speed Racer X
  • 7PM: Stargate Infinity
  • 7:30PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Tiga
NOTES: The 6-7 part fails because they suck, but the 7 hour, while not as well-performing, still pulls in "okay" ratings in the younger end of the 11-15 demo. The 8-10 part is the highest rated, with 4Kids deciding to make Ultraman Tiga more serious. Also the reason for the relaunch is because the network as a whole would relaunch, being mainly inspired by Tacomaster's Nickelodeon fantasy schedule taking place between 2002/2003. Invader Zim and As Told By Ginger would move from their respective places on the network to the The N block on Nickelodeon along with the premiere of a new anime, Magic Knight Rayearth.

Spring 2003:
  • 6PM: Speed Racer X
  • 6:30PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 7PM: Fancy Lala
  • 7:30PM: Mao-Chan
  • 8PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 8:30PM: Constant Payne
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Tiga
NOTES: Stargate and BUM(don't you dare laugh nor come up with any dirty jokes) are gone, unlikely to ever return, unless it's on Nicktoons TV, I ALMOST kicked SRX off, but didn't because I don't like shows being pulled off before they finish their runs regardless of how bad they're doing in the ratings. I found 2 tame girl-friendly anime to air in the 7 hour. 8-10 continues to be the shining star of the lineup. Nick finally catches up with the times and puts .hack//SIGN on The N.

Summer 2003:
  • 6PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 6:30PM: Fancy Lala
  • 7PM: Mao-Chan
  • 7:30PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 8PM: Rocket Power
  • 8:30PM: Constant Payne
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Tiga
NOTES: Rocket Power returns at 8, while Spider-Man: The New Animated Series airs on The N to go with .hack//SIGN and Magic Knight Rayearth on Saturday nights.

Fall 2003:
  • 6PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 6:30PM: My Life As A Teenage Robot
  • 7PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 7:30PM: GaoGaiGar: King Of Braves
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Saint Seiya: Knights Of The Zodiac
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Dyna
NOTES: Ultimate Muscle has made itself a permanent starter at 6PM for the remainder of it's run. MLAaTR premieres at 6:30, Jimmy Neutron moves to 7, GaoGaiGar debuts at 7:30 thanks to Bandai Entertainment, Payne stays warm and cozy at 8, Saint Seiya debuts at 8:30(ITTL dubbed by ADV Films and is in NO WAY AT ALL related to DiC), Yu-Gi-Oh is at 9 and Ultraman Dyna ends us off at 9:30. At this point, SLAM! gets a hour strip block at 5PM to air reruns of whatever shows it aired in the past and Yu-Gi-Oh! premieres. The block is now a proven hit with the 11-15 audience that's looking for something else to watch on Friday nights.

Spring 2004:
Monday-Thursday:
  • 5PM: Rotating reruns
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters premieres
Fridays
  • 5PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 5:30PM: Astro Boy(2003)
  • 6PM: Rocket Power
  • 6:30PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 7PM: GaoGaiGar: King Of Braves
  • 7:30PM: Danny Phantom
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Saint Seiya: Knights Of The Zodiac
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Dyna
NOTES: Ultimate Muscle and Rocket Power runs their last episodes(RP will end in the summer), Astro Boy 2K3(ITTL given a proper dub and NOT on Kids' WB) and Danny Phantom premieres. Other than that, everything stays the same.

Summer 2004:
Monday-Thursday:
  • 5PM: Rotating reruns
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters premieres
Fridays
  • 5PM: Astro Boy(2003)
  • 5:30PM: Rocket Power
  • 6PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 6:30PM: GaoGaiGar: King Of Braves
  • 7PM: Danny Phantom
  • 7:30PM: Constant Payne
  • 8PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 8:30PM: Saint Seiya: Knights Of The Zodiac
  • 9PM: Cybergirl(Australian TV series)
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Dyna
NOTES: Astro Boy goes to new time, RP scoots up for its last episodes, Everything sans Ultraman moves up a half hour to make room for a new show called Cybergirl.

There'll be more later!

It's Nice, but heres my take:
  • 7PM: Mon Colle Knights
  • 7:30PM: Alienators: Evolution Continues
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9PM: The Vision Of Escaflowne

The 8-10 part is the highest rated, with 4Kids deciding to make Ultraman Tiga more serious. Transformers Armada rolled-out on to 6:30 (ITTL The Entire Unicron Trilogy aired on Nick because at the time Hasbro and Paramount were working on a Film Adaptation to be released in 2007), Transformers Armada would be so popular with Kids (Despite it’s Dubbing And Animation Errors) to get reruns outside of the block. Also the reason for the relaunch is because the network as a whole would relaunch, being mainly inspired by Tacomaster's Nickelodeon fantasy schedule taking place between 2002/2003. My take, taking off from the real SLAM

FALL 2003, SATURDAY
6 PM: Super Duper Sumos/Speed Racer X/Jimmy Neutron
6:30 PM: Invader Zim
7 PM: My Life as a Teenage Robot
7:30 PM: Men in Black

With the fall relaunch, SLAM is moved from Sundays before TEENick to Saturdays before SNICK. The 6 PM slot initially had Super Duper Sumos, airing the 13 episodes of its second season for contractual obligations, before swapping it out for reruns of Speed Racer immediately afterward. However, they couldn’t air any new episodes due to a lawsuit between DiC and Speed Racer Enterprises, so they looked for something else they could air. They found the Australian SLAM aired the new Nicktoon Jimmy Neutron, and so put that on the schedule, initially airing encores of the previous night’s episode. It proved very successful, and by winter 2004, premieres had moved to the block.

APRIL 2004
MONDAY-THURSDAY
7 PM: Jimmy Neutron
7:30 PM: Men in Black
FRIDAYS
7 PM: Jimmy Neutron
7:30 PM: My Life as a Teenage Robot
8 PM: Danny Phantom
8:30 PM: Invader Zim
9 PM: Spider-Man
9:30 PM: Men in Black

The April 2004 schedule prompted another move, this time to Fridays to counterprogram competitor Cartoon Network’s comedy-based Fridays, as well as a one-hour weeknight expansion, airing directly after Cartoon Network’s Miguzi to avoid direct competition. (This ironically put them in competition with Jetix on Toon Disney, but Toon Disney was a tiny network and Nick wasn’t worried about them.) Danny Phantom was a new series, and reruns of the MTV Spider-Man aired as both filler and to age up the block. Invader Zim finally aired the initial six episodes of season 2, while the series itself was renewed and began production of the unfinished episodes and completely new episodes after both success on the Saturday block and the discovery that the early initial cancellation had violated their contract with series creator Jhonen Vasquez, thus giving him grounds to sue if they didn’t complete the initial 40-episode order. (That latter part was true by the way)

Here is part 2 of this, representing 2004-2007

GaoGaiGar FINAL, Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes and Ultraman Neos premieres. The block celebrates its 5th anniversary with a new relaunch that will return SAM, the kid that was in the OTL branding and as well as ITTL's 2002-2004 branding:

Except the changes here is that instead of that, it's now in a anime-esque style, and he speaks, and he's EMO!!!! He also hosts the block from his bedroom, he's a teenager, and he pretty much is Nick's answer to TOM from Toonami(albeit human, and emo!!). I could also have a girl co-host that could be Sam's girlfriend.

The block also expands to 11PM on Fridays and airs TV-PG content in the last hour to tide the slightly older audiences into The N(which, like Cartoon Network back then, would've had ALL of Friday late-night). Maybe someday, SLAM! might become a teen block and get merged INTO The N itself.
I have also put in some girl show in the earlier portion of the block to get girl ratings. In fact, I might make a girl's block to combat Miguzi.

And in case you're wondering, Nickelodeon would've launched a new girl's block on Sunday nights in 2007 named Nicole....

The host would be Nicole herself, she could even be Sam's girlfriend.

It's Nice, but heres my take:
  • 7PM: Mon Colle Knights
  • 7:30PM: Alienators: Evolution Continues
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9PM: The Vision Of Escaflowne
The Vision Of Escaflowne (Which is not the only TMS Entertainment Title to be on the Lineup) does a bit better with girls, but still has a better fate than it did on Fox Kids IOTL.

By Spring 2002, This lineup:
  • 7PM: Super Dumo Sumos
  • 7:30PM: Mon Colle Knights
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9PM: Rocket Power
  • 9:30PM: The Vision Of Escaflowne
NOTES: Super Dumo Sumos pops up, it fails and is burned off at 6AM weekends(in this case a good fate because it sucks), Rocket Power comes in and does pretty good with the 11-15 demo. Payne and Yugi are now proven hits!

By Fall 2002, expansion and relaunch time!:
  • 6PM: Butt Ugly Martians
  • 6:30PM: Transformers Armada
  • 7PM: Stargate Infinity
  • 7:30PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 8PM: Constant Payne
  • 8:30PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Tiga
NOTES: The 6-7 part fails because they suck, but the 7 hour, while not as well-performing, still pulls in "okay" ratings in the younger end of the 11-15 demo. The 8-10 part is the highest rated, with 4Kids deciding to make Ultraman Tiga more serious. Invader Zim and As Told By Ginger would move from their respective places on the network to the The N block on Nickelodeon along with the premiere of a new anime, Magic Knight Rayearth.

Spring 2003:
  • 6PM: Transformers Armada
  • 6:30PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 7PM: Fancy Lala
  • 7:30PM: Mao-Chan
  • 8PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 8:30PM: Constant Payne
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Tiga
NOTES: Stargate, SRX and BUM(don't you dare laugh nor come up with any dirty jokes) are gone, unlikely to ever return, unless it's on Nicktoons TV, and SRX moves to a Sunday Burnoff slot at 6AM.

  • 8PM: Transformers Armada
  • 8:30PM: Constant Payne
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Tiga
NOTES: Armada Transforms and Roll-outs to 8, while Spider-Man: The New Animated Series airs on The N to go with .hack//SIGN and Magic Knight Rayearth on Saturday nights. Payne airs its last episodes at 8:30.

Fall 2003:
  • 6PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 6:30PM: My Life As A Teenage Robot
  • 7PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 7:30PM: GaoGaiGar: King Of Braves
  • 8PM: Sonic X
  • 8:30PM: Transformers Armada
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Dyna
NOTES: Ultimate Muscle has made itself a permanent starter at 6PM for the remainder of it's run. MLAaTR premieres at 6:30, Jimmy Neutron moves to 7, GaoGaiGar debuts at 7:30 thanks to Bandai Entertainment, Sonic X debuts at 8(ITTL dubbed by Viz Media and The Ocean Group and is in NO WAY AT ALL related to 4Kids), Armada moves to 8:30, Yu-Gi-Oh is at 9 and Ultraman Dyna ends us off at 9:30. At this point, SLAM! gets a hour strip block at 5PM to air reruns of whatever shows it aired in the past and Yu-Gi-Oh! premieres. The block is now a proven hit with the 11-15 audience that's looking for something else to watch on Friday nights.

Spring 2004:
Monday-Thursday:
  • 5PM: Rotating reruns
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters premieres
Fridays
  • 5PM: Ultimate Muscle
  • 5:30PM: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
  • 6PM: Rocket Power
  • 6:30PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 7PM: GaoGaiGar: King Of Braves
  • 7:30PM: Danny Phantom
  • 8PM: Sonic X
  • 8:30PM: Transformers Energon
  • 9PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Dyna
NOTES: Ultimate Muscle and Rocket Power runs their last episodes (RP will end in the summer), and Danny Phantom, Ghost in the Shell: SAC and Transformers Armada premieres. Other than that, everything stays the same.

Summer 2004:
Monday-Thursday:
  • 5PM: Rotating reruns
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters premieres
Fridays
  • 5PM: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
  • 5:30PM: Rocket Power
  • 6PM: The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
  • 6:30PM: GaoGaiGar: King Of Braves
  • 7PM: Danny Phantom
  • 7:30PM: Sonic X
  • 8PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
  • 8:30PM: Transformers Energon
  • 9PM: Winx Club
  • 9:30PM: Ultraman Dyna
NOTES: RP scoots up for its last episodes, Everything sans Ultraman moves up a half hour to make room for a new show called Winx Club.
Outside of a few things, you're just copying me.

  1. Where's some of the shows I put on there?
  2. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?? Not to be mean, but Ghost In The Shell would NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER air on a kids network in America, YTV got away with it because they targeted teens and is basically more looser when it comes to standards.

Okay, that's a pretty good base despite being on Saturday evenings, but I would've just cut the losses with MiB and aired Knights Of The Zodiac in it's place.

(That latter part was true by the way)
Oof about the cancellation part and nice using MTV Spider-Man to age up the block.

Any other ideas/plans?

I replaced it with Constant Payne

Could you do add Sonic X to the Schedule (Because of the Live Action Sonic Movies by Paramount)

Okay, that's a pretty good base despite being on Saturday evenings, but I would've just cut the losses with MiB and aired Knights Of The Zodiac in it's place.
Wasn’t it on Cartoon Network at the time?

Also, MiB may have already been finished and airing exclusively reruns when it got to SLAM in the first place, but it had plenty of episodes and was well received and successful. Heck, by the time of the expansion, only it and Jimmy Neutron had enough episodes for weekdays(and in the case of Jimmy, just barely)

I replaced it with Constant Payne
Ok.

#1: The movies didn't even come out until the 2020s, this takes place in the 2000s for now
#2: Not to be mean, but this is my own fantasy schedule, and Sonic X would be on Fox Kids ITTL(yes, I saved Fox Kids)
Wasn’t it on Cartoon Network at the time?
Yeah, I know but I thought the dumb dub could fit somewhat better on SLAM! and they would've needed new programming.

Ok. How did you like the idea of Magic Knight Rayearth and .hack//SIGN on The N?

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
