Ending Theme: I Will by Eir Aoi

Tonight on SAO, Yanai betrays the scientists while Vassago reveals a dark secret.

As always, no spoilers allowed.

Last time: Is it just me, or has this war taken something of a...racial turn?

"You think I'm some kind of traitor, right?"
Well, you are turning against the guy you came down here with.

So he was one of the tentacle creatures from...THAT episode. TOTALLY needed to know that.

Ahh, yes, the American dream of groping underage girls in video games.

"This is what is called fate."
No, that was what I call foreshadowing.

Yes, I totally needed to see THAT again, too.

Lord and savior Kirito give me strength.

Isn't that just like an SAO season two character, bringing a gun to a sword fight?

Protect the pixels!

Oh no, those characters from season one who didn't have enough screen time for me to remember their names died.

Oh, so the foreigners on this show CAN be reasoned with.

Feeding racial politics to a bunch of guys who assumedly get their news from Facebook groups with hastily misspelled names in all caps.

Good thing gamers are gullible and easily persuaded, huh?

"This DOES seem suspicious, come to think of it..."
"The Japanese players are bad and want to steal this server!"
"KILL 'EM ALL!"

Shouldn't Third Impact have started by now?

Sugou. So that b****** is involved. And that mole is one of the scientists who...

This lab coat inspected by #871.

So he killed your virtual waifu.

(I'd been looking for that clip for a while.)

I wonder if the dub voice actors actually heard themselves say their lines.

Does this mean the show is over?
Sad ending, but hey, I'll take ANY ending at this rate.

There's your rape face.

Hey, we may just get a happy ending yet.

Sugou?! Didn't need to hear that name ever again. And Yanai was one of those creepy perv monsters. GAH. And in a delusional fantasy with the Pontifex.

And to the next creeptastic scene, Gabriel and Sinon. It was cool seeing Sinon with her trademark gun though. And it's gonna be a relief when Kirito inevitably wakes up and kills this guy.

Man, so painful to see Vassago wind up these international gamers so easily. Cuz the institutionalized racism. But at least the bit with Moonphase and Mei being skeptical of the hack continues.

Uh, already knew Vassago was insane but betraying Laughing Coffin to try and corrupt Kirito back then? Geez.

Dang, I missed that end teaser for a split second because I turned away. Something powered on?

They really cranked up Gabriel and Vassago from 100 to 150% irredeemable and for a bonus, revealed another despicable person.

Looks like this season will tie all the previous seasons together into one huge climax, but did we need to reminisce about tentacle monsters and the Alfheim Online arc? The brief armistice scene was incredibly awkward and it seems like all other players suddenly have massive anti-Japanese racism just to move the plot forward. We know this will end in Kirito ex Machina.

At least now there's finally a chance to get some justice against the guy who helped Sugou, screwed up the Underworld, and assaulted Asuna...assuming Higa can get out of there :ack:.

Too bad Asuna isn't there to witness it .

It's kind of ironic that a guild made up of serial killers was betrayed by their own leader so they could end up being killed by the "good players." Considering Kirito's trauma with Death Gun, it wasn't ineffective .

It was apparently the old SAO server .

So one player killer screwed over his guild of player killers just so other players could kill them? I don't get the reasoning.

Tbh, I don't even remember if Kirito and PoH ever met. I do remember he was about to reach him and Asuna but the game ended? So I guess it was all something unresolved he wanted to finish all these years.

I got nothing. I guess I'll wait and see what that means.

Well, they're psychotic serial killers...they're not particularly known for acting under logic...

Kirito and Asuna encountered PoH and (I think) the rest of the two named Laughing Coffin members (the one who ended up becoming Death Gun and Johnny Black who poisoned Kirito) during the Murder Case arc in season 1. He was also seen watching Kuradeel duel Kirito.
