He could certainly make a high quality cartoon, at least occasionally. Unfortunately, that's literally the only redeeming trait he has among a plethora of utterly foul ones.

He obviously doesn't care about anything, including himself. I think that if he actually cared about himself, he would at least be acting in his own best interest, which he clearly isn't.

To be honest, I think he DOES care about himself. He's a sociopath, and I think that is actually the only thing he cares about. He just also happens to be stupid as hell.

Y'know, probably the most amazingly awful thing about John is how incredibly blatant he is about all this. Like, he might as well just have a big sign in front of him at this point.

BTW my German Blu-Ray came in the mail today. I knew I had to get it when I could as I somehow found it at a really good price, and with the show off digital distribution, that deal will likely never come up again. Also, I found a way to get PowerDVD to change regions thus allowing me to watch it (though I can only change this setting 4 times).

Even if I didn't know the situation about John, there were so many red flags during that conversation. I remember when I was little, people always said that kids shouldn't answer the door to strangers and if you have to, then don't tell them that your parents aren't there. The same should apply with the Internet. At least her parents didn't allow her to send a picture and she was able to just laugh him off instead of getting into further danger.

But unsurprisingly, John is still a disgusting creep hitting on teenage girls who happen to be fans of his work. Not only does he show no remorse for what he did, he's still doing the same thing, further showing that he has learned absolutely nothing from his true nature being exposed. He isn't even trying to mask it. If anything, he might be even more blatant about it now, although I don't know if he really hid the fact that he's a pedophile before the article came out. Having a teenage girlfriend back in the 90's was apparently an open secret within the animation industry after all. What a vile and horrible human being he is.

I think I remember that part of the video too. That would sadly fit with how his behavior was an open secret and plenty of people within the industyr knew about this well before the news broke out. There were people enabling this creepy behavior too. It's really quite disturbing and sad to say the least.

Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs was directed by Bob Clampett. Therefore, in the eyes of John K., it is automatically a timeless masterpiece that everyone should love.
