Hulu’s King of the Hill revival is swimming pretty with a record-breaking Season 14 in the books and a fresh, chlorine-cleansed renewal that should keep the pool party going until at least 2028. A full trailer for the upcoming Season 15 made a splash today at Annecy.
The mystery of the giant statue from the previous poster has been solved…not why it exists, but what its role is. The trailer reveals it’s in disrepair and Hank wants to fix it up, as he needs “something to do with his hands”….it goes awry though and he soon finds himself dangling from the statue’s arm high in the air. How will he get out of this one?
Elsewhere, Bobby and Connie are officially a couple, to Hank’s discomfort and Kahn’s absolute meltdown. There’s a scene directly mimicking the Season One bit of Hank walking into a scene of Luanne and Buckley sleeping together — only now it’s Bobby and Connie. There could soon be trouble in paradise, however, as Bobby has someone from work coming onto him…and he’s unaware until one smooch on the lips happens directly in front of Connie. How will he get out of this one?
But then….BUT THEN….the biggest twist of all! Bobby calls Hank FROM JAIL!! How will he get out of this one — oh wait, Bobby’s not in jail at all. Hank has been phone-scammed by an AI bot duplicating Bobby’s voice. I hope he didn’t take the suggestion that bailiffs accept Bitcoin through a website seriously.
In less stressing developments, Hank and Peggy are going to try various retiree activities like golfing, rowing, and..apparently, sci-fi conventions. The activities of Hank’s buddies Dale, Bill and Boomhauer are unknown; the trailer doesn’t go into it. You gotta keep an eye on those guys.
It’s the same cast as before: Mike Judge as Hank Hill, KAthy Najimy as Peggy Hill, Pamela Adlon as Bobby, Lauren Tom ad Connie and Minh, Stephen Root as Bill and Toby Huss as Dale. All 10 episodes of King of the Hill Season 15 will debut July 20 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
