The official website for the original TV mecha anime Vertex Force launched a new promo on May 8th along with additional info on the series’ staff. It has a scheduled release date of October 2026.
Kazuhiro Takamura is directing the anime, per a previous announcement. Takamura is best known as the director of the Strike Witches TV series that premiered in 2008. He would go on to direct the franchise’s second season season in 2010 and handle many of the subsequent seasons and OVAs through 2020. Takamura also directed the 2013 TV series Vividred Operation. Both franchises focused on a squad of young girls who form a team equipped with advanced technology to confront alien threats to humanity.

The trailer focuses on series protagonist Haruka Tōdō confronting an ominous skull-headed robot by summoning her own mallet-wielding robot. She apparently controls the robot with her body movements. As Haruka comes down to strike her enemy in a massive show of power, the screen turns into the series’s logo. 
The screen then transitions into a sequence where a young child is shown reaching out to a mysterious grey mecha. The mecha emits light from its eyes before the screen displays the second promo image and announced release date for the show. The tagline on the Youtube trailer ominously says that the “correct answer” will destroy the world.
