My Adventures with Superman has already returned to Toonami for season 2 reruns this Spring. Now, Entertainment Weekly has reported that Adult Swim is picking up a third season of My Adventures with Superman for a midnight timeslot on Toonami. New episodes will begin June 13.
The new season is set to adapt part ofthe famous Death of Superman storyline from the comics, specifically focusing on the Reign of the Supermen aftermath of Superman’s battle with Doomsday. Later portions of the classic story arc featured a clone Superboy, the Kryptonian artifact the Eliminator, the African American Steel, and the cyborg Superman driven mad by personal tragedy.
The new season will set up a Green Lantern spinoff featuring Jessica Cruz called My Adventures with Green Lantern. While creators mentioned inspiration from Dragon Ball Z for Superman, Green Lantern is said to draw inspiration from other Toonami shows as well. Considering the creators of My Adventures with Superman love TOM2 era Dragon Ball Z, as seen in Android 18 clothes being used for Kara Zor-El’s civilian clothes, we might see some influence of Toonami sci-fi shows like Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Gundam, and Tenchi Muyo on Green Lantern.
A poster was unveiled to commerorate the upcoming season:
Hopefully a full-fledged trailer (with additional details) is coming soon.
Currently, Toonami’s lineup runs four hours from 12:00 AM-4:00 AM every Saturday night after expanding from 3:30 at the start of 2026. The Spring lineup received many early revisions before stabilizing. The current 150 minute block of premieres is followed by 90 minutes of reruns. The early April schedule below pertains for the entirety of May as well. With June, projected season changes are predicted for most all shows.
At 12:00 AM is Rooster Fighter. This series is halfway through its twelve episode run. The season or possibly series finale will air June 6. This confirms one new episode every week through the month of May, with zero marathons preempting it. This show will be the one replaced by My Adventures with Superman.
At 12:30 AM is Dan Da Dan. The season two finale is slated to air June 13. A third season is in production and expected to air in Japan in 2027. It is unknown what will air in its place starting June 20. “Kakumei Douchuu” by Aina the End has replaced season one’s iconic “Otonoke” by Creepy Nuts for the second season opening. “Doukashiteru” by WurtS has replaced the first season’s “Taidada” by Zutomayo as ending theme for season two.
At 1:00 AM is Blue Lock. Having just reached the halfway point of this soccer anime’s season one, Toonami still has three more months of episodes. While the first major eliminations have just occurred, it seems this series will be similar to Toonami’s competitive cooking anime Shokugeki no Souma: Food Wars in that the main team’s major and popular characters are spared for the first season. This weekend “Judgment” by Ash Da Hero is debuting as the ending theme, replacing “Winner” by Shuugo Nakamura. “Judgment” will be replacing “Chaos Ga Kiwamaru” by Unison Square Garden as opening from episodes 14-24. A new song by Unison Square Garden, “Numbness like a Ginger” will then be aired as the ending theme from episodes 15 to the end of the season.
At 1:30 AM is Tokyo Revengers. This series has aired with heavy censorship, viewer discretion warnings, and a TV-MA rating frequently. Like Blue Lock, it is halfway through season one, with twelve of 24 episodes having aired. This Saturday, the second ending theme, “Tokyo Wonder” by Nakimushi, replaces current ending “Koko De Iki Wo Shite” by eill. “Crybaby” by Official Hige Dandism is remaining as OP for the full season. If there are no marathons, both Blue Lock and Tokyo Revengers finish season 1 on July 18. It remains to be seen if season 2 will premiere July 25.
At 2:00 AM, One Piece is airing. This ultra long running Shonen Jump series based on the pirate manga by Eiichiro Oda is down to the last five episodes of the Zou arc. On June 6, if Toonami picks up more arcs, they will begin airing the Marine Rookie arc. This short three episode arc is considered a part of the same season as Zou, making it likely to be included in the current episode order. Unlike many One Piece filler arcs, it’s not tied to any movie. Fans of the canon can continue directly from Zou to Whole Cake Island on June 27.
At 2:30 AM, Ninja Kamui is airing reruns. It’s possible that this will lead directly into season 2. Alternatively, we may see Lazarus reruns slot in here. During the April Toonami Better Cartoon Show Toonami video, Lazarus appeared along with Blue Exorcist. However Blue Exorcist and Lazarus were removed from April’s Toonami schedules at the last minute.
At 3:00 AM, My Adventures with Superman has been airing reruns of the Supergirl focused season 2. With season 3 coming to the block in an earlier slot, Toonami will have a free slot here in June to fill. Likely candidates for reruns including Blue Exorcist, Lazarus, Dan Da Dan season 2, and Rooster Fighter. My Adventures with Superman also airs an hour of season 1 reruns outside Toonami at 5:00 AM, after an hour of American Dad from 4:00 AM-5:00 AM.
At 3:30 AM, Rooster Fighter gets an encore airing. Unlike past Toonami originals which had a dubbed and subbed airing in different slots the same night, both Toonami showings of Rooster Fighter are the dub every week. If Rooster Fighter leaves the block or moves to an earlier slot, it may open up this slot in June for another rerun. One likely contender is Dragon Ball Z Kai. The Cell Saga has recently been airing at 5:00 AM. Since it hasn’t aired on Toonami since 2018, and would be unusual to re-license another season for only weekday graveyard slots, many Toonami fans anticipate seeing the Androids and Cell Sagas reach Toonami again in 2026.
