Marvel will be reviving the “Miracleman” comic book series with a “Miracleman Annual #1” issue later this year. The new Miracleman comic will be drawn by Marvel’s Joe Quesada, following a script by Grant Morrison and featuring twin covers by Gabriele Dell’Otto and Jeff Smith. Miracleman was born in 1982 [from an earlier 1950s incarnation as Marvelman] but flamed out a mere 12 years later and the revived MM #1 will include Morrison’s story of MM sidekick Johnny Bates turning against Miracleman.
“Miracleman Annual #1” is currently scheduled to be released on December 31, 2014.
