It may have been somewhat concerning for Disney’s Buena Vista motion picture making unit when Ricky Gervais was signed up to star in “Muppets: Most Wanted”, the follow-up to 2011’s “The Muppets” [starring happy couple Jason Segel and Amy Adams]. But the Motion Picture Academy checked out the Muppets and Ricky and gave the family comedy a clean PG rating for its release next year – as long as Ricky lays off beer and Hollywood celebrity-bashing.
“Muppets: Most Wanted” also stars Tina Fey and is currently scheduled for a March 21, 2014 release.
