It is not official and Disney did not announce it as official at D23 Expo but actor Vin Diesel appears to be either a big fan of tree aliens or he thinks he may be voicing the character of Groot in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” film. Diesel has been posting images of Groot to his Facebook page leading some to believe he may be hinting at a future announcement of his casting as the voice actor for that as-yet-uncast role.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” is currently set for an August 1, 2014 release.
