Witch Hunter Robin seems promising

I remember way back in September when I read a review of the DVD for this on ign.com. Seems to be a pretty good epic anime. Since then, I've been checking Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and Netflix to see if they carry it and nothing.

Now all of a sudden Adutl Swim is carrying it. cool. And I save money from not renting it but I bet they're gonna censor the heck out of it.

Adult Swim has never "censored the heck" out of any of its shows (save for probably "Blue Gender"), and its standards have loosened dramaticalyl from when it started in 2001. If anything, I'm willing to be the show will air virtually unedited. Nothing's guaranteed, of course, but it will hardly be "censored the heck out of".

Dude, I've been around since the beginning of Adult Swim. Watched it when it was on Thursdays and Saturdays. And yes they have censored Cowboy Bebop. I've watched the imports and they do leave some things out. But I do admit, to say they will censor the heck out of it might have been too strong.

Take a look at that Space Ghost C&C episode where Moltar says **** and they didn't censor that.

I highly doubt they'll censor the heck out of it, i mean, there's just not a lot to censor.

I haven't seen the dub myself, the sub kinda made me sleepy, but sometimes subs do that, so we shall see. I'm optimistic.

Nothing visually about Witch Hunter Robin needs to be edited. Their is no gross out scene or even any blood for that matter. In terms of content, their is nothing sexual or anything that may be offensive. Nor is their much foul language to cut from what I've seen on the first two DVDs. They'll probably need to cut here and their for comercial purposes not much...at least I hope

I just hope they keep that great intro song and the ending credits aren't anything special like say Bebop's 13 and 26 credit so I expect AS to treat the ending credits like they have been doing with the other shows...

And yes WHR is defintely good.

The only thing I object to with WHR so far is that the girl, Robin I guess, is totally unattractive to me. Maybe it's the stupid pigtails. If Adult Swim censors the pigtails I'll be very happy.

I read somewhere, I think it was October's NewtypeUSA, that they didn't want Robin to look "cute."

Makes sense. She kinda looks like one of those dolls you'd see a little girl holding from something gothic like Batman:TAS. Harmless looking, but representing a greater darkness. I'm really looking forward to this series.
