Shea Fontana is an animation veteran who has worked on and helmed many notable shows of her own. She's had a very strong relationship with Mattel, developing 3 shows for them. Those 3 are DC Superhero Girls 2015 (a collaboration between Warner Brothers Animation, DC Comics, and Mattel), Polly Pocket 2018 (a collaboration between Mattel and DHX Media/Wildbrain), and Monster High 2022 (a collaboration between Mattel and Nickelodeon). All of them have their own fan bases, but which one is your favorite? They each their pros and cons that can turn the tide in terms of general opinion. DC Superhero Girls 2015 gets praise for having all sorts of DC characters playing off of each other, and the movies and graphic novels are pretty well liked. The criticisms include wasted potential from the short episode length, and season 5 as a whole, which was made without Shea Fontana's involvement. Polly Pocket 2018 gets praise for being a fun show with likable and charming characters. The main criticism comes from season 2 onwards, when the Grandes would be taken out of the show without explanation and the switch from 22 minute episodes to 11 minute episodes (though I personally don't have a problem with either of them). Monster High 2022 gets praise for its overarching story and making every character fun to watch. The main criticism comes from following the DNA of the live action movies (albeit not being in continuity with them) and some changes that don't sit well with older fans compared to the first generation. Still, which show do you like best?
