What is this phenomenon? Getting anime for free? Must be some other worldly trick!!

It's called "Companies like your opinions, and think you can get more sales, so they give you free stuff to say more nice things."

Though it doesn't really affect my feelings either way if I recieve them from the company or if I buy it myself. Getting them as screeners just means easier access, and has led to me viewing several series I wouldn't have checked out otherwise (such as Tactics, Noein, Baki the Grappler, MoonPhase, Solty Rei, Basilisk, and New Getter Robo).

Last week, I purchased the following:
.hack/Roots Volume One Limited Edition
Le Chevalier d'Eon Volume Two of Six w/Box

I purchased Pokemond Diamond and Pearl when they were released on Sunday. Pokemon games are my one guily pleasure anime product.

I also received the Case Closed Cases 2 & 3 Starter Set and Case Closed Case 2.2 in the mail on Monday.

Finally, I stopped in Borders and was pleasantly surprised to find Death Note Volume Eleven. It's sad that there are only two volumes left. I hope Viz has the rights for Volume Thirteen. Even if it is only a guide to the world and characters of Death Note, it would be nice to have, especially since it reveals L's real name.

Fantastic Children vol 5 came in the post today, and i got Spiral vol 3 and FMA vol 12 while out shopping.

Oh gawd, the wait for vol 13 of FMA will be a killer.

With volumes 10 and 12 in the post, I orderd volume 11 and pre-ordered volume 13 of the UK FMA DVDs.

Pre-ordered Gundam Ace. They also had the special manga issue up, so since I haven't seen any of the specials yet I pre-ordered that too.

Picked up two of the Lupin movies at Anime Boston from Funimation's sale box for 10 each. Tokyo Crisis and Island of Assasins. Unfortunately Tokyo Crisis popped off of it's hub inthe case and got scratched up, so I think I will have to bring that back to them somehow. Strangely enough, two of the Island of Assasins dics I picked up before I bought the one that I did had the same problem.
