Episode 49 Preview (Chapters 97 and 98)

BHM: Man Xtream, where do you get all this gum from?

Xtream: I love gum. I always carry a few packs around with me.

Slukis: It must be nice to always have minty fresh breath.

Ginger: But I keep telling him, all that gum is not good for you!

Xtream: Now, dear, if all my gum chewing results in us winning, wouldn't that be fine for you?

Ginger: Well...I do like winning...but your health is important too!

Episode 49: A Fatal Mistake! The Battle Transforms

Chapter 97:Doubt

While BHM fought to break through Xtream’s gum dome, Ginger and Slukis engaged each other underground. While they were merged with the earth, they realized that they could send their charges underneath the ground at each other. This led to several small explosions occurring below the surface.

Once BHM had broken through the dome, Ginger resurfaced. She fell to her knees, breathing heavily. “I can’t stop fighting now. He’ll have to re-surface too eventually. That’s when I’ll get him.” She then wondered how her partner, Xtream was doing. She was shocked to see BHM just a few feet away from him. When Xtream saw BHM charging at him, he quickly blew another bubble from his mouth. This bubble he blew was holding BHM back for now.

“I’m so close.” BHM thought as he gathered up all his strength to push himself forward. The poison continued to run off of his body and onto the gum, weakening it. However, Xtream continued to blow into the bubble, building back up its strength.

The two were in a stalemate, and Ginger didn’t know what to do. While she kept an eye out for Slukis, she thought, “Xtream’s in trouble. I have to go help him out. If BHM gets through that gum and touches him, it’s over.” She then ran towards her partner and his opponent. “I can’t use a charge from this distance. Xtream would get caught in the blast.”

BHM, still struggling to push forward, caught Ginger running towards them corner of his eye. “She’s coming here? What happened to Slukis, don’t tell me he…” BHM was unable to finish his thought, as Xtream suddenly used a burst of energy to blow hard into the bubble and cause it to burst, sending BHM flying back.

“Awesome job!” Ginger exclaimed, and Xtream turned in her direction, surprised.

“What are you doing here? Get back to Slukis!” Xtream yelled. Right after he spoke that, a large explosion occurred underneath her. She had gotten close enough to her partner so that Xtream was also caught in the blast. The two were blown away from each other and hit the ground hard.

Slukis emerged from the ground close to Xtream and almost fell over from how exhausted he was. He held his right arm and walked over to Xtream’s body. His partner, BHM, was still lying on the earth. After using so much of his energy, he could hardly move his body. He barely tilted his head up enough to see Slukis walking towards their opponent. “Alright, we got them.” He then stopped as he realized that something was missing.

Xtream was also too drained of energy to move his body. He could feel the presence of his opponent above him, but could do nothing to stop him.

Ginger tried to recover from where she was, but the blast had done serious damage to her. “Xtream…” She thought.

She then focused her thoughts on him and heard Xtream thinking. “Why? Why? Why did you doubt me…Ginger? I had him just where I wanted. I told you…to make sure not to take your eyes of Slukis.”

Ginger spoke to herself, “I know, but I thought you were in trouble. He looked like he was going to get through your gum. I was only doing what I thought was best for the team.”

Xtream continued to think, “When we split up, I knew that Slukis would go after you and BHM would go after me, because his poison would have no effect on you. Once we split up, I first needed to take BHM’s long-range weapon out of play, so he would approach me. When he did that, I would use my gum to hold him off.”

“I get that.” Ginger spoke aloud, even though no one could hear her. “But you knew what would happen if his poison touched you. I had to try and save you!”

“When he charged into the gum, it was exactly what I wanted.” Xtream continued to think. “I had no intention of beating him the old-fashioned way. No, I used the gum…to search his body.”

“To search his body?” Ginger repeated in confusion. “For what?” Her eyes then opened wide as she realized what he meant.

Slukis searched for Xtream’s Red Orb on his body. He saw a red glimmer and pulled out a Red Orb from his opponent’s clothing.

However, to his surprise, stuck to Xtream’s Red Orb with gum was a Blue Orb. The Blue Orb of his partner, BHM.

Chapter 98:All Alone

“His Orb!” Ginger exclaimed. BHM had also realized that his Blue Orb was now gone. Slukis looked down in shock as he held the two Orbs; a Red Orb from his opponent, Xtream, and a Blue Orb from his partner, BHM.

“That’s right, I took his Orb.” Xtream spoke to Slukis. Ginger could also hear him transmitting the same thoughts. “While he tried to break through the gum, I used it to search his body for the Orb. Once I found it, I forced him back using my remaining strength.”

He then became too weak to speak, but Ginger could still hear his thoughts. “While you kept off Slukis, I was going to rest, and then help you out. But you…didn’t trust in me. Even after you said you would, you still doubted my abilities.”

“I’m sorry!” Ginger exclaimed, tears in her eyes. “I didn’t know! You should’ve told me!”

“Now…it’s all up to you. You’re going to be all alone against Slukis.” Xtream thought.

“No! No!” She pounded her fists on the earth and buried her face into the ground. “I can’t do this by myself. I need you to help me!”

Xtream continued, “I hope you’ve learned by now…how to fight on your own. I’ve done all I can to help. The rest is up to you. Farewell, dear.” Slukis then watched as Xtream’s body disappeared back to the Safe Zone.

He then heard a voice calling out, “Slukis! Slukis!” Slukis recognized the voice to be his partner, BHM.

He hurried over to him and asked, “BHM, are you alright?”

“No.” BHM replied, “I’ve used up all my poison. I’m done, man.”

“Damn…” Slukis swore, “You fought well though.”

“Thanks, too bad the bastard used his gum to take my Orb. I really thought I had him.” BHM responded.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll be sure to beat Ginger and win this for our team.” Slukis assured him.

Alright man.” BHM barely managed to speak. He then slowly lifted his arm up and extended his hand. Slukis gripped his hand, and BHM finished, “Take care.” He then disappeared, and Slukis’s fist closed up.

He gripped his fist tightly, fighting back his tears. “No Slukis, you have to be strong. All I have to do now is beat that girl and I’ve won.” He then turned around to see Ginger back on her feet as well. He started to walk towards her.

Ginger was still lost in thought, “All this time…I’ve depended on Xtream’s strategies. Now he’s gone, and it’s all my fault. I’m sorry Xtream. I’m so sorry.”

She then focused her thoughts on Slukis, and heard him thinking, “This is it. All I have to do is beat her and I can finally get my revenge on that castle guardian. I’m going to win this for my team. Nothing is going to stop me!”

Ginger then wiped the tears away from her eyes. “He’s determined to beat me.” She could feel her fighting spirit building up inside her, “But I won’t let him. Xtream’s right. I have to learn to do this on my own. I can still win this.” She then turned around to face Slukis, and started to walk towards him.

The two sides met in the center of the battlefield and looked each other straight in the eyes. Both of them had fought a war, and their bodies had been pushed to the limit. Still, neither one was going to back down now. They didn’t know, but they were the only remaining competitors in the competition besides Tippem. Everything came down to this fight.

“I…” Slukis started.

“I…” Ginger followed.

Both of them finished simultaneously, “Won’t lose!”

Episode 50: Assistance Arrives! The Winning Attack

Chapter 99:The Calvary

Both Ginger and Slukis found themselves face-to-face in front of the final standing castle. They brought their right arms back and balled their hands into a fist. They cried out once they sent them at each other. However, before either fist made contact, a wall shot up from the ground between them. The wall was made of vines. Surprised, Slukis thought, “Wait a minute, this attack is familiar.” He turned around to see Hockeydude approaching them.

“Looks like I made it just in time!” He exclaimed. He then used the vines to force Ginger back. He quickly hurried in front of Slukis and spoke, “Surprised to see me? I told you I could handle that dragon. Here, I’ll weaken her for you, and then you can defeat her and take her Orb.”

“But…” Slukis started. He was then interrupted by an attack from behind Ginger. Many tiny spears made their way towards Hockeydude and Slukis, and they hid behind a wall of vines in order to avoid the attack.

“That attack, I recognize it.” Hockeydude spoke.

“Well, well, if it isn’t the guy with the vines.” A voice from behind Ginger noted. Rogue then emerged onto the battlefield. “Didn’t think I’d have to beat you again.”

“Hold on…” Ginger started, but it was already too late. Rogue called in his spear, and Hockeydude sent vines towards them as an attack.

“Stay behind me, I’ll make sure you keep your Orb.” Rogue spoke, as he used his weapon to slice the vines before they could hit Ginger.

From Slukis’s side, two more people came into view. “Mega, it’s him!” Kobaul exclaimed. He was referring to one of the men who eliminated him, Rogue. “Let’s go help out!”

However, just as they drew their weapons towards the Red Team, a drill came down from the skies in front of them. Once the drill landed, it turned into GPL. “Where do you think you’re going?” He asked.

Just then, several other competitors arrived on the scene. Daft Punk, Tenko and Ultima arrived for the Red Team, while Fifa and Shop Head joined the Blue Team once they saw Ginger, the one who defeated them, standing on the opposite side.

A large-scale battle was breaking out, and Slukis and Ginger were helpless to stop it. Once Air, KAZAK, Katana and Brian joined the battle on the Blue Team, they started to push the Red Team back towards the castle. “Just a little bit more!” Katana exclaimed.

“Not so fast!” A voice cried out. From behind the castle, the two defenders of the northern castle and members of ORDER, Ritti and Tartite, burst onto the scene. Ritti used her spikes, and Tartite used her gas to help out the Red Team. This sent the Blue Team back quite a bit.

“We’ve got them now!” GPL shouted.

Shortly after he spoke that, the Red Team was hit by a blast of cold wind, followed by a powerful soundwave. Crimson and Rodri, along with their partners, Karichi and Heroic Yoshimitsu, had just arrived to help the Blue Team.

“We’re finally here.” Karichi spoke.

“Looks like we’re just in time for the show!” Rodri followed. With the help of those four Blue Team members, they were able to push forward once again.

However, little did they know that in the distance, two other members of ORDER, the defenders of the southeastern castle, Fedetra and Skevipaar, had arrived. Skevipaar held an arrow on his bow, aimed at the entire Blue Team. Fedetra, standing beside Skevipaar, watched with a smile on her face. “Alright Skevi, let’s help out our team.”

Before he could fire, a voice rang out throughout the entire Virtual World. “Stop!” The booming voice surprised the participants, and the fighting ceased at once.

From inside the lab, Dama spoke to Moltar and Shadow, “I had a feeling something like this would occur with everyone heading towards the same location, but I can’t allow this to go on any further.” He then spoke to the participants in the Virtual World, “This is Dama, the overseer of this competition, and I am issuing a direct order to everyone in the Virtual World at the castle. If you have already been eliminated from the competition, step back from the fight.”

Everyone on the battlefield had their eyes on their opponents. Just as the fight looked like it was going to resume, Dama followed, “Step back now or you will be removed permanently!” The participants saw that he was serious, and those who had lost their Orbs stepped back. Skevipaar lowered his weapon as well. This only left Ginger and Slukis standing in front. Dama continued, “Thank you. You may not have known it, but those two are the final two competitors with Orbs. Now, let them resume their fight.” Dama then cut off the communication.

Much murmur broke out among those watching. They had no idea that Ginger was the final Red Team member, or that Slukis was the final Blue Team member. Since they could no longer get involved physically, they gave support to their Team from the sidelines. The members of the Blue Team chanted, “Blue! Blue! Blue! Blue!” while the Red Team countered with, “Red! Red! Red! Red!”

“Thanks guys.” Slukis thought as he stood opposite his sole opponent again, “With your support, I won’t lose.”

“My Team…” Ginger thought as she stood opposite her sole opponent again, “I won’t let you down. I will win.”

*Chapter End*

Chapter 100:The Fight Continues

Ginger and Slukis once again stood face-to-face in front of the southwestern castle. Several of their teammates stood nearby, cheering on their team representative. They knew that this showdown would decide the fate of the competition.

Both competitors were already drained from their fight earlier. Each side could feel that victory was close. They felt that they were at their limit, but they had to push on because the end was near. Ginger slowly moved her hand to the ground, and placed her right palm flat on the earth. She thought, “There’s so many minds here…everyone thinking different thoughts. It’s hard to concentrate with all these people here. If only Xtream were here, he would have thought of a plan with all these powers here.”

Ginger then looked over at Slukis, who also put his right hand on the ground. “Okay, I can do this. I’ll fire off my attack, and he’ll fire his to counter. Behind the explosion, I should be able to merge with the ground. All I’ll need to do then is just find him and finish him off.” She then hesitated, “But what if he merges with the ground too, then what will I do?”

She looked back at her hand on the ground and shook it off, thinking, “I can’t worry about that. This is what Xtream wanted me to learn. I have to think on my feet. I can’t hesitate any longer!”

She then fired off a charge from her hand. The charge sailed along the ground towards Slukis. She watched the charge travel towards her opponent. Once it reached the half-way point, a thought crossed her mind. “Why hasn’t he fired his yet? What’s he waiting for?”

On the other side of the battlefield, Slukis watched the charge travel towards him. He thought, “This is it. Soda…all of our training comes down to this.” He judged the distance between himself and Ginger, and watched the attack come closer and closer. “I don’t know if this will work, but it’s worth a try. Slukis is all about taking risks!” Just as Ginger’s charge was a couple of inches away from him, he fired a charge from his hand. He aimed his charge at a downward angle on top of Ginger’s charge.

Ginger waited for her attack to him, but was surprised when she saw no explosion. “What happened? Did I miss? But that’s impossible!” She then felt a heavy rumbling beneath her feet. She didn’t even have time to move before she could realize what was happening. A powerful explosion occurred beneath her, sending her body high into the air. The members of both teams who stood on the sidelines were in awe. “Xtream…my team…I am sorry.” Her body crashed to the ground, along with the chunks of dirt that were blown into the air.

Slukis thought, “So, it did work. I was able to use my charge to absorb Ginger’s, and push both of them underground. Because of the angle I sent my charge out with, it came back up with much greater force than before. It’s what Soda suggested I do to strengthen my attack, and it worked.” He then pushed himself back to his feet, and slowly hobbled towards Ginger’s body.

The members of both teams watched closely. The Blue Team screamed for Slukis to push him on, while the Red Team shouted for Ginger to wake up.

It was too late for her though. Slukis reached into her clothing and took her Red Orb; the final Red Orb left in the competition. He held it in the air as a sign of his victory. “I did it.” He spoke.

The Blue Team exploded into cheers and celebration. Slukis’s teammates rushed over to him to congratulate him, while the Red Team watched with crushed spirits.

“Awwww.” Ritti moaned, “I thought she was going to do it.”

Tartite looked on at the Blue Team, Slukis in particular, and thought, “So he’s the final one left. That means there’s only one obstacle left for him.”

Meanwhile, Fedetra and Skevipaar watched the celebration from afar, and Fedetra asked, “Do you think he’ll get the final White Orb?”

Skevipaar replied, “That would mean that he would have defeated Tippem. It will certainly be impressive if he can pull it off.”

At the laboratory, Moltar watched the celebration with a smile on his face. “Nice job, Slukis.” He spoke, and then turned to Dama, “You better hope your guy can beat that. The will of my team is strong.”

Dama’s eyes remained glued to the screen. As he looked at the final castle, he thought, “Tippem, my most loyal follower, it’s all on your hands now.”

Slukis, even in the midst of the excitement, still kept his opponent in the back of his mind. “Finally, I get my shot at you again. No more running. This time, I’m going to defeat you!”

Iykkari: Hmm, maybe you should tell them about what happened during your fights then.

Episode 51: Fighters Prepare! The Last Night of the Competition

Chapter 101:
Final Night

A couple of minutes after Slukis had taken Ginger’s Red Orb and the following celebration, the door of the final castle opened. The members of the Blue and Red Teams looked over and saw the guardian of the last White Orb, Tippem, standing in the doorway. The celebration stopped, and everyone looked towards him. Slukis stepped forward from the group, ready to go.

Tippem saw his eagerness and smiled, “Calm down. You’ll get your shot soon.” He spoke quietly. He then spoke to everyone there, “Congratulations on your victory, member of the Blue Team. You will have a chance at earning the final White Orb tomorrow morning. For now, the day is over. Everyone is able to stay at this castle for the night to rest.” Tippem then turned around and walked back into the castle. Slowly, the Team members started to pile in.

Meanwhile, at the laboratory, Moltar spoke, “Well, I guess that’s it for today.”

“Indeed.” Dama followed, “As Tippem said, the final battle will commence tomorrow. For now, we should head home and make our preparations.”

“Preparations?” Moltar repeated, and then asked, “For what?”

“For the outcome tomorrow.” Dama answered, “I would like the program to be brought to the laboratory.”

Shadow understood what he meant by this and responded, “Project: Life? Very well, I will prepare it and bring it tomorrow in the event that your team is victorious.” Moltar looked uneasy once Shadow brought up Project: Life.

“Good, and I also have my own preparations to make, so I bid the two of you farewell.” Dama then stood up and exited the laboratory.

Shadow looked over at Moltar once he left and asked, “Are you still worried, Moltar?”

Moltar remained silent for a few moments, and then answered, “I just don’t know what to make of all of this. He seems like a good guy, and ORDER looks like a worthy organization. He’s had a countless number of opportunities to fix the competition in his favor, yet it’s been dead even thus far. He even helped us stop The Big Five once and for all by defeating CHAOS. He’s proven to us that he’s a good man, and if the laboratory gets in his hands, I believe I can trust him not to do anything harmful with it. But still…”

Shadow cut him off by saying, “You shouldn’t be so worried about this. The fate of the laboratory isn’t in your hands anymore.”

Moltar realized that Shadow was correct, and responded, “You’re right. I’ll just have to have faith in Slukis to get the job done tomorrow.” He and Shadow then proceeded to shut down the laboratory for the night. Before they left, they sent the remaining participants who were scattered throughout the continent to the final castle so they could rest as well.

Several hours passed, and it became night. Back in the Virtual World, once several other members of both teams arrived at the castle, they found their teammates scattered throughout the vast building. Many of the teams that had been separated reconciled and caught up with each other. Those who had fought against each other before and taken the Orbs of their opponents met with each other to discuss their matches. Even the members of ORDER talked amongst themselves and to the participants. On this night, the castle was a warm, peaceful place where the competition between two sides did not exist.

Still, one man had to focus on the next day. Slukis sat alone in a room, thinking about his task for tomorrow. “Today was a rough day.” He thought, “Several hours of training, followed by a tough fight against Stealth and Clo, and then an even tougher fight against Xtream and Ginger. I have no clue how I made it this far.” Slukis then grinned to himself and continued, “Of course I know why, it’s because of my teammates. Without Hockeydude or BHM or Soda, I would have been done for. Tomorrow though, I won’t have them there fighting with me. It will all be on my shoulders.”

He then heard the door open and turned around. In the doorway, he saw a familiar face. It spoke, “I didn’t think you would be here alone.”

“Hey Soda.” Slukis responded, “I just needed some time to think to myself.”

“I understand.” Soda followed, “But don’t stress yourself out too much about it. You’ll just have to fight your best tomorrow. If you win, you win, and if you lose, you lose. No big deal.”

“Yeah.” Slukis nodded, “It’s good to see you again. I can’t thank you enough for what you did earlier.”

“It was nothing.” Soda laughed, “I mean, even if you die here, you get brought back, so it was no problem.” A moment of silence then passed between the two. “Hey, how about you get out and enjoy your final night here.”

“Alright, sounds like a plan.” Slukis spoke. He then got up and joined his partner.

At the top balcony of the castle, Slukis’s opponent, Tippem, looked up at the night sky. He thought about all sorts of things as he gazed at the stars, including tomorrow’s match.

“It looks nice, right? Just like back in the real world.” A voice from behind him spoke.

Tippem smiled and replied, “So, you’ve finally come home, Iykkari.” Iykkari then emerged onto the balcony, and the two members of ORDER stood together once again.

*Chapter End*

Chapter 102:Catching Up

Once Iykkari met his former partner, Tippem, on the balcony of the southeastern castle, Tippem spoke, “It’s been quiet here since you left. What’ve you been up to?”

Iykkari replied, “Do you know why Dama eliminated me from the competition?” Tippem remained silent, and Iykkari continued, “He took me out because he knew that I had unlocked my true powers, and wanted to give me a chance to finally realize my goal. I went to find him, and then I beat him.”

“So you finally beat Skevipaar, congrats.” Tippem spoke with a smile, “I knew you had it in ya.”

“I couldn’t have done it without your help though. You opened my eyes and made me see what I needed to do in order to win.” Iykkari followed. He then asked, “So, what did you guys do in the real world?”

Tippem answered, “Well, while the other guys hunted down the forms of CHAOS, I went with Dama to One’s laboratory.” Tippem then recalled the event to Iykkari.

After Tippem had entered into the laboratory with Three and Five knocked-out on his shoulders, he spoke, “Sorry they’re late. But I was just minding my own business and these guys tried to attack me, so I had to take care of them. I didn’t know they belonged to you. You can have ‘em back.” He then tossed them over to where One was sitting, and they slid to his feet. “There ya go.”

“Tippem!” Both Moltar and Dama exclaimed.

Tippem looked over at One with a cool smile, and adjusted his shades. Tippem then asked One, “You want to thank me?”

One looked back at him with a cold glare. “This is useless, but I may as well amuse myself until the inevitable occurs.” He then stood up from his chair and came at Tippem. Before One could make contact with Tippem, he hit a barrier.

“What is this?” One asked, wondering why he couldn’t reach Tippem.

“So that’s his power.” Moltar spoke as he watched from the sidelines.

Dama followed, “That is only part of it. You see those 5 machines rotating around Tippem’s waist?” Moltar looked closer and saw 5 small metallic objects orbiting around Tippem. “They are producing a spherical shield around him. It’s impenetrable as long as he keeps those machines on their paths.

The shield sent One flying back, but he recovered by landing on his feet. He then sent wires that sprang from his head at the opponent. Again, the shield blocked the wires from Tippem’s body. One pulled the wires back in and thought, “I have to find a way to take out that shield.”

Tippem then spread his arm out at One, and the shield vanished. The five machines then formed a straight line on the ground in front of Tippem. With a wave of his hand, the 5 machines sailed towards the enemy. One watched them tear up the ground as they raced to him. They passed by him without harm, and One saw his chance. “I don’t know what that was, but he left himself wide open.” He ran towards Tippem, seeing his chance to strike. However, he didn’t realize that Tippem’s attack wasn’t done yet. An explosion occurred at Tippem’s feet. This was followed by a string of more explosions in the path that the machines traveled. One’s eyes opened wide in shock as he could only watch the inevitable.

“I see.” Iykkari spoke as Tippem told him about the fight. “So you took on One all by yourself and won? Now that’s impressive.”

“I wish it was that easy.” Tippem replied with a laugh. “I was surprised to see that he took my attack head-on and could still fight. It pretty much ended in a draw.”

“Knowing you though, I bet you didn’t use Final Judgment.” Iykkari followed, “If you can fight One on even ground without even using your full power, then I know you’ll beat Slukis tomorrow.”

“Heh, if only I was as confident as you.” Tippem responded, and then Iykkari looked over at him. Tippem continued, “You know, you’re not the only one who’s gotten stronger since two days ago.” Iykkari then remembered when Slukis had broken into their castle, and how Slukis was able to beat him and enter into the White Orb room.

“Hmmph.” Iykkari shrugged, and then headed back inside. “I wish I could fight him in a rematch. I’m counting on you to get revenge for me.”

He then exited, leaving Tippem all alone on the balcony. He looked up at the sky and thought, “He isn’t going to run away this time. Dama…I’m going to give it everything I’ve got.”

Episode 52: No Running Away! The Battle for Everything

Chapter 103:All or Nothing

After three days of clear skies and good weather, clouds swarmed overhead for the final day of the competition. Moltar and Shadow arrived at the laboratory at the same time. “Mornin’ Shadow.” Moltar spoke as he exited his car.

“Good morning to you too.” Shadow replied, “Looks like we’re going to be seeing some rain today.”

“Yeah…” Moltar responded. The thought of the weather was the least-important thing on Moltar’s mind at the moment.

As Moltar and Shadow readied the lab for the day’s events, Dama stood alone at the secret base of ORDER. “Today is the day.” He spoke aloud, “Today we begin the future as you have envisioned it.” In front of him rested a casket on a pedestal. He then created a black portal and entered it, wheeling the object along.

While all the preparations were made in the real world, those in the Virtual World prepared themselves as well. Everyone gathered outside the castle for the fight that was about to take place. The 31 participants who had already been eliminated stood in a wide circle around the designated battlefield. They wanted the fighters to have as much room as they needed in order to go all out in the fight. They talked about who they thought would win and what they would do with their prize if their team won.

The members of ORDER, Tartite, Fedetra, Skevipaar and Ritti, also stood by, waiting for the final match. “Let’s go Tippi!” Ritti cheered. Just then, something approached them from behind. They looked back to see Iykkari standing there. This was the first time the ladies of ORDER had seen Iykkari since the beginning of the second day.

“Iykkari…” Tartite spoke, surprised by his transformation. Fedetra looked surprised as well.

Ritti was in shock too, however, she quickly snapped out of it and spoke, “What are you doing here, Iykki?”

“I’m here for the same reason all of you are here.” Iykkari calmly replied. He then took a look at Skevipaar, who also looked back at him. Neither man had forgotten the intense fight they had. The ladies expected something to go down when the two spotted each other, but nothing happened. Iykkari joined them without harm, and their eyes shifted back to the battlefield.

Back at the laboratory, Moltar and Shadow, now joined by Dama, sat in front of the main screen. All three men had their eyes glued to the picture. They sat in silence, waiting for the battle to determine all of their fates to begin.

In the Virtual World, the final two men in the competition stood a good distance away from each other. Slukis stood facing in the direction of the final castle, while Tippem stood with his back towards it. “Are you ready?” Tippem asked aloud.

“Oh, I’m ready. I’ve never been so ready for anything else in my life.” Slukis replied strongly. Tippem smiled when he heard the determination in his voice. Slukis then placed his right hand on the ground.

“Before we begin.” Tippem spoke, causing Slukis to stop, “I want you to know that this fight is not only important for you, but for me as well. If you defeat me, then you will get to take this.” He pulled out the White Orb from his castle, to the surprise of everyone watching.

“He brought it with him?” Slukis thought to himself. “I didn’t think he would be that gutsy. Anything could happen to him during the fight and he could lose it.”

Tippem continued, “I brought the White Orb with me because I only thought it would be fair. You see, if I manage to take your Orb, then it’s all over for you. Now, I have the same stipulation. It was a rule for all the guardians of the castles to take at least one Blue Team member’s Orb, and if I take yours, then our goal will be complete.” He then paused for a moment, and then continued, “Both of us need the other’s Orb in order to win.”

Slukis scowled at this statement. He thought, “So that means…”

“That means…” Tippem thought in his own head, “That I will also be fighting with everything that I’ve got, in order to bring my Team to victory.”

Slukis decided that he couldn’t waste any more time, and fired a charge from his hand. It traveled across the top of the ground towards his opponent. Tippem stood motionless as the blast traveled to him. Moments later, an explosion occurred beneath his feet.

When the smoke cleared, Slukis saw Tippem unharmed. He stood in the middle of five machines that orbited his body. These machines allowed the ORDER member to create a shield in order to defend his body the attack. With a cool smile and his eyes hidden behind his shades, he spoke “Let’s do this.”

*Chapter End*

Chapter 104:Facing a Fear

Once Tippem revealed that his shield had guarded him against Slukis’s attack, he sent his five machines on the ground in front of him in a straight line. With a wave of his hand, he sent them out towards his opponent. Slukis recognized this attack from before. “This is it.” He thought, “This attack…”

Slukis remembered when he had entered into the White Orb room at the southeastern castle on the first day. He was met by Tippem, who was defending the White Orb. When Slukis challenged him, Tippem brought out his five machines and placed them on the ground in a straight line. They traveled across the ground to Slukis and passed right by him with ease. However, Slukis didn’t realize that that was only half of the attack. A multitude of explosions then started in the path of the machines, and Slukis was right in that path. One look at the fiery wall heading towards him caused Slukis to turn around and exit the building through the walls of the castle.

Now, Tippem was planning to use his attack once again. Slukis wasn’t going to let it beat him again. He ran out of the path of the machines, and quickly placed his hand on the ground. He fired another charge from his hand at Tippem. “This time, those things aren’t protecting him, he’s wide open.” Tippem knew that the attack was coming, and jumped backwards to avoid it. He jumped several yards backwards, to the surprise of many people watching.

“Good, he’s learned from last time.” Tippem thought as Slukis’s attack exploded in front of him.

“Damn, I missed.” Slukis thought. “For a big guy, he surely can move.” Just then, the explosions planted by the machines Tippem sent out went off. Slukis shielded himself from the rain of debris his attack caused. After the attack, the machines then returned around the waist of Tippem to recreate his shield.

“Go Tippi!” Ritti shouted from the sidelines. She then spoke to the other ORDER members, “It’s pretty rare that we get to see the big guy in action. He usually just sits around all day eating and reading.”

Tartite told her, “His training regiment is very strict. There’s a reason why he doesn’t do much.”

“I can’t believe someone could get as strong as Tippi by just doing nothing.” Ritti replied.

“I didn’t think so either.” Iykkari followed, “But then I figured it out. Tippem’s machines rely on two things, his body weight and his mental focus. He focuses his mind by sitting for long periods of time and keeps himself from falling asleep by reading. By focusing, he can control the machines to either defend him or go out and attack. His body weight is also vital to his defense. He has to maintain a constant body weight in order for the machines to orbit his body and generate the shield. All this takes also up a lot of energy, so he has to constantly eat, which keeps his body weight the same and refuels his body during his training.”

The other members of ORDER remained silent after this. Tartite was in shock at what she had just heard. “That’s…absolutely correct.”

“Wow, Iykkari.” Fedetra commented. “You’ve certainly changed.”

Back on the battlefield, Slukis thought, “I did it. I beat that attack. Now, I just have to beat him.” He then placed his hand on the ground again. “I’ll wait for him to let his guard down, then fire.” Tippem caught on to this quickly, and started to run towards him. “For a big guy, he’s fast too!” Slukis noted. He stood back up and ran away from his opponent.

“Perfect.” Tippem commented. He then sent out his machines once again. This time, they floated towards Slukis. While Slukis ran, he felt something pulling on his body. This force eventually caused Slukis to slow down and stop.

“What’s going on? I can’t move!” He shouted. He looked down to see the 5 machines fluctuating around him.

“Once I got you off the ground.” Tippem responded, “I was free to send my machines after you. Now with them locked around you...you’re locked into place.”

“That’s not funny!” Slukis screamed, and Tippem couldn’t help but chuckle.

“This is over.” Tippem spoke as he started to charge towards Slukis. “I’ve got you!”

Episode 53: Attack/Counterattack! Turning the Tide of the Battle

Chapter 105:
Trapped

Once Slukis found himself trapped by Tippem’s machines, he struggled to break free. Tippem charged right at him and knocked him to the ground with a hard shoulder block. “It’s useless to try and break free.” Tippem spoke with a smile. “Those machines are controlled using a person’s mind and body. I can use them because they’ve already adapted to me. However, you aren’t me, and since the machines don’t recognize the user, they’ve essentially shut you down.” Tippem then picked up his opponent’s body and drove his fist into it. Slukis flew back and again landed hard on the ground.

“This is bad.” BHM commented to Hockeydude on the sidelines. “He’s completely defenseless.”

“There has to be some way out of it though.” Hockeydude replied.

That is what Slukis was trying to figure out at the moment. He knew he couldn’t take much more of this physical punishment. Tippem walked over to Slukis’s body and lifted him up. He grabbed him around the waist and squeezed him tightly. Slukis cried out in pain as he felt his insides being crushed under the weight of his opponent. Tippem then threw him over his head behind him in belly-to-belly suplex fashion.

“I like this guy’s style.” Final Flash thought to himself as he watched from the sidelines. “Now that he’s trapped his prey, he’s physically wearing his opponent’s body down while conserving most of his own energy. He’s able to use his size and strength advantage without lowering his energy reserves. Now I’m itching to fight the guy.”

Slukis could feel the aches and pains spreading through his body. “C’mon man. I have to fight back.” He again tried to break free of the machines, but they still had a tight grip on him. After he lied on the ground, face down, for a few seconds, he thought of an idea. “Maybe this will work.” He thought.

Tippem approached his opponent and stood over his body for a few seconds. “Time to crush you.” He thought, and then jumped high into the air. He stretched out his body above Slukis, planning to splash down right on top of him. Slukis then merged into the ground, causing Tippem to crash into nothing but earth. “But how?” Tippem thought as he got back up. He then felt the ground beneath him trembling and jumped backwards just seconds before an explosion occurred underneath his feet.

From beneath the ground, Slukis thought, “Alright, it worked. I still can’t move my body, but since he knocked me so that my hands were on the ground, I was still able to use my power to merge into it. Now I can continue to travel underneath and attack him until he calls these stupid things back.” When Tippem landed on the ground after dodging the first explosion, Slukis heard him due to the vibrations it caused underneath the ground. He sent out another charge, and it curved up towards the surface. It exploded, and Slukis watched as the machines traveled back up above-ground. He moved his body freely and returned back to the surface. When he arrived back on top, he saw his opponent lying on the ground face-up.

“Nice shot, Slukis!” Slukis turned and saw his old partner, Soda, cheering for him on the sidelines. “You nailed him!” The other Blue Team members cheered for Slukis, while the Red Team members cried out for Tippem to recover.

Inside the laboratory, Moltar cheered when Tippem was hit by the explosion. “Alright Slukis! A couple more of those and he should stay down for sure.”

Shadow commented, “You really are into this, Moltar.”

“As am I.” Dama responded, “It’s been very evenly-matched so far. It can still go either way.”

Back on the battlefield, Tippem started to get back up. His five machines surrounded him once again, and he thought, “He knew where I landed and immediately fired a second shot. I had no time to dodge it. My opponent is good. I won’t be disappointed with myself no matter what the outcome is.” He then called out to Slukis, “Nice shot, but that’s the only one you’re going to hit.”

“We’ll see about that.” Slukis responded with a grin on his face. After landing that attack on his opponent, Slukis now felt that victory was within his grasp.

*Chapter End*

Chapter 106:Desperation Shot

After Tippem recovered from the hit delivered by Slukis, he thought about what to do next. Slukis, on the other side of the field, waited for Tippem to lower his guard once again. “He can either attack or defend. Defense alone won’t get him the win. Once he attacks, that’s when I’ll get him.” Slukis then watched as three of Tippem’s machines separated from his shield and started towards him. “What?!” Slukis exclaimed, surprised. Slukis moved out of the path of the machines, and they passed by him. He waited for the explosions they planted to go off, but nothing happened. “No explosions? What’s going on?”

Tippem grinned, and Slukis saw it from where he was standing. “Is he just messing with me? I’ll show him.” Slukis placed his hand on the ground, planning to fire off a charge. However, before he could, he noticed a shadow being cast on him. He looked up and saw a large, floating machine over his body. Slukis rolled out of the way before it could crush his body. “How did they get so big?” Slukis wondered. He figured that since this was Tippem’s attack, his defenses were down. He dodged another machine that made its way towards him and placed his hand on the ground once again. He fired a charge towards Tippem, and as soon as he did, Tippem started running towards him.

“Just what I was hoping for.” Tippem thought. The explosion went off behind him, and Slukis watched the big man come towards him once again. Slukis got up to dodge another machine and then went back on his knees. He placed his hand on the ground and fired out another charge. Tippem moved to the side in order to dodge it. The explosion went off, missing him as he expected. However, this was followed by another explosion nearby it. A third explosion went off in front of Tippem, and he was brought to a halt.

“It worked!” Slukis exclaimed. He then thought to himself, “I thought of the move last night. By splitting up the charge I send through the ground up into several smaller charges, I was able to create more explosions.”

A few more of the explosions went off around Tippem, and he was forced to stay put. “I have to admit, I didn’t see that coming.” Tippem thought. “With only two of my machines defending me, they probably wouldn’t be able to take an explosion. Still…”

Just when Slukis thought he had the advantage though, the enlarged machines of Tippem turned the tides. A machine crashed into the back of Slukis, and he was sent to the ground. He turned on his back, and as another one attempted to crash down onto his stomach, he caught it in his right hand. He sent a charge into it, and it exploded. A second one followed the first, and Slukis repeated the procedure. “Two down, one to go.” He thought.

The third machine retreated back to Tippem, who had continued on his charge towards Slukis. The Blue Team fighter quickly got back on his feet and met Tippem with a right hand. Tippem blocked the punch with his left arm and struck a right to Slukis’s face. Slukis stumbled backwards, and then charged forward at his opponent. Tippem sidestepped and threw his knee into the gut of his opponent. Slukis keeled over and fell to his knees. He looked up and scowled at Tippem before merging into the ground. Tippem smirked and thought, “The kid’s got guts.” Tippem then used the three machines around him to create two more to replace the ones that Slukis had destroyed. Tippem then turned around and saw Slukis emerge from the ground on the opposite side of the battlefield. He generated his shield and started heading back towards his opponent.

Slukis, who was clearly showing fatigue from the fight, again got on his knees. He sent multiple charges towards into the ground towards Tippem, but they proved ineffective against his newly-reformed guard. Still, Slukis sent the charges out. As he took the blasts, Tippem thought, “He has to know he’s just wasting his energy now.”

Slukis then shut his eyes as he gathered up a large amount of the energy left in his body. “He’s moving…to the spot I wanted. I’ve already calculated the angle for the shot. All my hopes of victory depend on this.” He then yelled out as he fired a charge deep into the ground. As Tippem dodged the smaller blasts, he moved in line with the charge Slukis had sent out. The charge curved back up towards the top of the ground, and Slukis looked on intensely.

Once Slukis’s charge hit the top of the ground, a massive blast occurred. The spectators jumped back in surprise from the sheer size and sound of the explosion. It was even more ferocious than the blast that defeated Ginger the day before. “Did I get him?” Slukis asked himself as he stood back up. He tried to peer through the smoke, but it was still heavy. “I had to have gotten him.”

A minute later, when the smoke had cleared, everyone saw the fate of the ORDER member. The participants were stunned, the ORDER members were in disbelief, and even Moltar, Dama and Shadow in the laboratory were speechless. Tippem’s impenetrable shield was gone, and all that remained was his prone body in the crater of the blast.

Episode 54: All Strength Summoned! The Promise Made

Chapter 107:Loyalty

“C’mon Slukis! This is your chance!” BHM shouted.

“Alright Slukis, you did it!” Soda yelled. The other members of the Blue Team also cheered for him. His attack had just taken out the final member of the Red Team, and now the White Orb was in his sights.

“The big guy got beat? I didn’t see that coming.” Xtream spoke.

Ginger, who stood next to him, followed by saying, “That was the same thing he did to beat me.”

“No way…” Fedetra started as she looked down at the battlefield. The other ORDER members were just as surprised to see Tippem laid out on the ground, motionless. The participants on the Red Team were either silent, fearing the worst for their chances, or trying to encourage Tippem to recover.

“I did it…” Slukis thought as he realized exactly what he had done. “My team…I did it.” He then took a step towards Tippem. An intense pain shot through his body. He ached all over from the fight, but he knew that victory was so close, so he bared the pain.

On the ground, while Tippem’s body was motionless, he still felt life inside of him. “His attack was powerful enough to break my shield.” He thought, “That doesn’t happen too often.” He tried to move his body, but realized he couldn’t. “Nothing is responding…this might be the end for me. At least I had a good run.”

Just as he thought it was all over, he heard another voice from inside him. It spoke, “I promise to stay by your side. I won’t ever let you down.”

“That voice.” Tippem thought, “Those words…”

Tippem remembered his childhood vividly. He was raised as a young child in an orphanage. The people in charge had told him that he had been left at their front door in a basket when he was still a baby. A note, presumably from his mother, read, “Please do what I could not and take care of him.”

However, the caretakers ignored the note. The children in their care were treated horribly. They were forced to work every day, and all the money they earned went into the pockets of the owners, while the orphanage itself benefitted from donations. They were beaten if they ever talked back or misbehaved. The meals were poor and scarce, and the beds were cold and hard.

Many orphans attempted to run away, but realized soon that it was very hard for them to live on their own. Tippem heard stories of those who had escaped; how most came back to the orphanage and were treated even worse than before, and the others died on the streets.

So he endured the orphanage until he was 13. Over time, their tough regiment hardened Tippem, and he found the workload easy, the food satisfying, and the beds comfortable. Outraged by Tippem’s “defiance”, he was thrown out. This is when he started to make his living on the streets. The orphanage had hardened him into a warrior, and he stole and fought for whatever he needed to survive. Years passed, and he became notorious in the area. No one wanted to mess with him.

One day, a tough newcomer arrived. Those that respected Tippem wanted him to take care of the new guy. So he confronted the guy and made this challenge to him, “If I win, you leave this area. If you win, you can have everything I own.” The man accepted, and the two fought it out. The fight was intense and lasted nearly an hour, with both men unwilling to take the fall. Finally, Tippem delivered a knock-out blow to the man, which put an end to the battle.

“Congratulations.” A voice spoke as soon as Tippem had won. He turned to see an old man in a white and red robe standing beside him.

“Who are you?” Tippem asked, defensively.

“I am Dama. I sent this man here as a test for you, and you passed.” The man replied, “While you fought, I detected a large power inside of you. You have true potential, and I want you to join me in a new group I am creating called ORDER.”

“ORDER?” Tippem repeated, trying to take all of this in. “What will it be about?”

“We will be dedicated to the cause of not only ending violence and war in the world, but also providing a place where everyone will have a home, a family, and a chance to succeed.”

“A noble goal.” Tippem spoke, “But sounds pretty farfetched.”

Dama followed, “No one will have to go through what you did again.” Tippem’s eyes lit up at this statement. He was surprised to learn that Dama was aware of his upbringings. “Everyone will have a chance in the world we envision. Just come with me, and help create an ideal world to live in.”

A black portal opened up behind them. Dama entered into it and disappeared. Tippem remained behind for a minute, thinking about whether or not to go with this man. He chose to enter.

Two years later, Tippem had grown considerably. He finally had a nice place to live and plenty of food to eat. His attitude changed as well. He became light-hearted and friendly towards others. Dama had allowed him to see the world in a new light, and he saw that not everyone was like the cruel people at the orphanage, or the people he met on the streets. There were kind people, who were willing to help others, after all.

After realizing his power and learning to control it, Tippem was suddenly hit by everything that Dama had done for him. He had picked him off the streets and turned him into somebody who could change the world. When Tippem had mastered his powers, he confronted Dama and spoke, “Dama, thank you for everything. I am forever in your debt.”

Dama replied, “You did the right thing, Tippem. Soon the time will come when we make our dreams a reality.”

Tippem then told him, “Yes, and I will be right there with you on that day. I promise to stay by your side. I won’t ever let you down.”

A bright red light then shot up from the ground and extended into the sky. Slukis stopped in his tracks, and the others looked on in awe as they saw the fallen man rise to his feet.

Chapter 108:Final Stage

After everyone believed that Tippem was down and out, they now watched him float back onto his feet in the midst of a red light. A white burst of energy exploded out of him, causing Slukis to be blown off his feet and the others to struggle to remain standing. His sunglasses cracked in half from the sheer power and fell from his face, revealing his eyes for the first time in the competition. They were dark red, which meant only one thing. He spoke, “Dama, I will fulfill my promise to you. Guide me, Final Judgment!” His short hair turned completely red, symbolizing his transformation. The five machines lifted themselves from the ground and became ten. The machines then swarmed around Tippem’s body at an amazing speed.

“Tippi’s Final Judgment form?” Ritti questioned, “Wow, I’ve never seen it before. It looks cool!”

“He’s only had to use it a few times before, and only once in actual battle.” Tartite followed.

“Yes, he used it when we had a battle.” Skevipaar spoke.

“That’s right.” Tartite continued, “It was in order to get readings on the limits of your powers. The only ones who witnessed it were you, I and Dama. To think he would use it now though…I’m shocked.” Iykkari looked on with interest at this new form of Tippem, as did everyone else who stood by.

His opponent, Slukis, was in complete disbelief. “No way, that last attack should have finished him. Where is he getting all of this strength from?” Slukis fired a charge into the ground, and it came up underneath Tippem.

However, to his dismay, the explosion didn’t even phase the shield around Tippem. He easily blew the smoke and debris away using only his energy. Then, he turned towards Slukis, and Slukis thought, “Screw it, I can’t fight him like this.” Slukis turned around and ran away from the ORDER member.

“You won’t get away this time.” Tippem spoke aloud, and the 10 machines separated from his body. They floated into the air in a circle. He thought, “Dama, for you, I will now end this. This field shall be transformed into your graveyard! SHATTERING MACHINE DRILL!"

As soon as he spoke that, the machines shot a beam of red light that dug deep into the ground. The machines then spread outwards, and Slukis decided to merge into the ground to try and avoid the attack. The machines created ten deep lines in the ground with the light drills that spread through the entire battlefield, all the way up to where the other participants watched. A red glow emerged from the lines in the ground and the earth beneath them started to shake. After a couple more seconds, red energy surged up through the ground. Everyone was in awe to see a giant red circle of light, the size of the entire battlefield, extend into the sky and completely disintegrate all the earth that touched it.

When the light disappeared, the field had been completely transformed. Tippem stood on the same patch of grass as before, but now, all around him laid a giant crater. The drills of light had dug at least 15 feet into the ground, leaving nothing behind. “Slukis…no.” Soda muttered.

“Holy crap…” Crimson remarked. Her partner, Karichi, was speechless, as were most of the participants who stood by. The ground underneath them had been unharmed, but the terrain in front of them had been turned into a giant doughnut.

Even in the laboratory, Moltar and Shadow were left speechless by the attack. They had just witnessed a giant beam of light incinerate everything in a large radius. Dama was more focused on his teammate, his first student, Tippem. “Tippem…thank you.”

Back on the battlegrounds, everything was quiet. A minute passed, and there was no sign of Slukis. Tippem, still in his Final Judgment form, thought, “My Final Judgment attack pours an abundance of energy into the ground. Once it settles down there long enough, it shoots upwards, taking out anything above it. I figured you would try to hide in the ground when you saw my attack, but you probably didn’t think it would dig so deeply into the ground. Even you couldn’t have gone that far down so quickly.”

A small rumble then occurred in the crater below. Tippem continued, “There was only one way to escape the attack, and that would have been to retreat out of its range.” Another rumble occurred, and a small crack appeared on the surface. “But there was no way he could have escaped that quickly.” More cracks then appeared on the surface. “This fight is over, I have won.”

Just then, to everyone’s surprise, Slukis burst from beneath the ground. He stuck his right arm out in front of his body, and held a bright white light in his hand. Tippem’s eyes opened wide in shock as he turned to see the opponent he thought he had beaten flying up towards him. Slukis yelled with determination, “I won’t lose to you! I’m going to win!”

Fedetra: Wow, Tippem really is impressive.

Skevipaar: Slukis is pretty impressive too.

Fedetra: They aren't as impressive as you, Skevipaar.

Skevipaar: Agreed, my long-range style of fighting should outmatch their styles. If we fought, I believe I would have the advantage.

Fedetra: Ahhh...that's not quite what I meant by that.

Skevipaar: Really? Then what did you mean?

Fedetra: O...U-um...nevermind!

Episode 55: Final Struggle! The Competition's Winning Team

Chapter 109:Within Reach

Once Slukis had burst through the ground, he shot upwards to the island of land that Tippem stood on. In his right hand, a bright white light shone brightly. Tippem generated his shield and braced for impact. Slukis cried out as he placed his hand on the shield around Tippem.

“This power…” Tippem thought as he felt a strong force trying to break through his shield. He held both of his hands in front of him in order to pour more of his strength into keeping up his defenses. “He built up a charge in his hand and is trying to use it directly on me.”

“Almost…there!” Slukis yelled out, “Ahhhhhhh!” He screamed as he used every ounce of his strength to get the charge to make the shield explode.

“I won’t let you!” Tippem countered, “Ahhhhhhh!” He screamed right back, using more and more energy to keep his shield up. The eyes of the audience watching were blinded by the light of the energy that the two had produced. When both had reached their limit, there was a large explosion.

“Slukis!” Soda cried out.

“Tippem!” Iykkari also shouted.

The small island disappeared in the blast, as did the two fighters. Everyone kept their eyes on the cloud of smoke and debris, waiting to see who would be the first to emerge.

In the laboratory, the three men also kept a close eye on the smoke. Moltar, as he looked on, thought, “Slukis…Tippem, they’re really giving it everything they’ve got out there. They’re both fighting so hard to win for their Team. I know the power of teamwork is strong, but it never amazes me to see how far people will go for the sake of others.”

After a minute, everything began to settle, and the spectators could see two figures lying on the ground. Both fighters, Slukis and Tippem, were face-down on the ground. “Are they dead?” Stealth Shadow asked.

“They have to be.” Clo, who stood next to him, replied. “There’s no way they could have survived a blast that powerful.”

“Hey…” BHM noticed, “What are those?” He took out his sniper rifle and peered through the scope. He looked at the exact center of the crater, where the island of land previously stood. He saw two shiny objects, one blue and one white. “No way…”

“What, what do you see?” Hockeydude wanted to know.

“That last attack…knocked both of their Orbs off of them!” BHM exclaimed. Those standing around him also heard, and it quickly spread to the other participants.

In the laboratory, Shadow commented, “Their Orbs are right there in the open.”

Dama followed, “Yes…it appears whoever is the first to recover will be able to win the competition.”

When the participants learned of the free Orbs, they shouted to their teammate in order to try and wake them up. After over half a minute, Slukis started to stir. He heard cries of, “Get up! Get up! Get the Orb!” He tilted his head up and saw both his Blue Orb and Tippem’s White Orb resting right next to each other.

At the same time, Tippem, who had reverted back into his normal form, also heard the screams of the participants. He held his head up and saw both Orbs out in the open, just sitting there next to each other.

Even though both men were completely drained of all their energy, the sight of the other’s Orb gave them the strength to continue. They stretched their arms out and started to crawl towards the center of the crater.

“Go Slukis, you can do it! We’re right behind you!” Various members of the Blue Team cheered on.

“C’mon Tippem! You’re almost there! We believe in you!” Members of the Red Team also gave support.

Both Slukis and Tippem were now about ten feet away from the Orbs. Neither man had the advantage at the moment. They crawled at the exact same pace towards the Orbs.

“I have to…” Slukis thought, “I have to…win this for my Team.”

“I have to…” Tippem thought, “I have to keep going…for the Team.”

As both men inched closer and closer, the cheers from both teams got louder and louder. Moltar, Dama and Shadow where all on the edges of their seats. Everyone was tense over the situation.

After what seemed like an eternity, both Slukis and Tippem were in range of the Orb. They saw their goal right in front of the eyes, and reached out towards it. Both men extended their arms towards the prize and opened their hands to take hold of it. Both Teams were literally inches away from winning, and it all came down to who would grab the other’s Orb first.

*Chapter End*

Chapter 110:And the Winner is…

Both Slukis and Tippem, after going through a long and intense fight, were at their ends. The fight had culminated with both men being knocked to the ground, losing their Orbs in the process. Now, they struggled to get the other’s Orb and win the competition for their Team. Their teams cheered them on, and those at the laboratory watched with much anticipation. Slukis had his hand in the air. Tippem had his hand in the air. Both men were so close to the Orbs and they could feel it.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, their hands dropped. Slukis’s hand fell and rubbed against the edge of the White Orb, but he was unable to completely grasp it. Tippem’s hand, however, fell and rested on top of the Blue Orb of his opponent.

The Red Team let out a massive cheer, because with all of the Blue Team members eliminated, they had now won the competition. The Blue Team, while upset at the loss, still felt proud of Slukis for almost bringing them the win.

“Damn, he almost had it.” BHM spoke. “Oh well…he did great anyway.”

“Slukis…” Soda thought, “You should be proud of yourself. You fought wonderfully for us.”

It didn’t take long for Slukis to realize that he had not grabbed the White Orb and therefore lost. With a tear in his eye, he thought, “Sorry guys, I did my best out here. Hope you’re not too upset with me.” His body then disappeared, as it had been completely drained of energy.

Meanwhile, Tippem, still on the ground, grasped the Blue Orb in his palm. His body was also completely empty and he could feel himself starting to disappear. In this state, he thought about something he had said to Iykkari earlier. “If you are fighting for something you truly believe in, with all your heart and passion behind it, then you’ll realize what you need in order to step up to the next level.”

With a smile on his face, Tippem thought, “Heh, guess I learned the meaning of those words too.” His body then vanished.

Back at the laboratory, Dama had taken a huge sigh of relief. Moltar had calmed down, and felt a bit depressed over the loss. Shadow was the first to comment, “Congratulations Dama, your team has won.”

Dama replied, “Thank you Shadow. It was a hard fought win for my Team though. I’m shocked it came down to what we just witnessed.”

Moltar, after staying silent for a few seconds, spoke, “Well, Dama, I’m a man of my word. The laboratory is now yours.”

Dama started, “Moltar…”

Moltar followed, “When we first encountered each other in that alley and you challenged me, I didn’t know what to think. I didn’t know you, I couldn’t trust you, and I had no idea why you would even want this laboratory or the Virtual World. I figured you would do whatever it would take to win, whether that be cheating or sabotaging my team, or even taking me out permanently.”

Dama and Shadow both listen to Moltar speak, surprised by his emotions at the moment. He continued, “But no, you didn’t do any of those things. You made this competition completely fair for both sides. The Teams were balanced, the conditions were fair, and even in the end, neither team had a real advantage over the other. But what convinced me the most about your character was the way you handled the threat of CHAOS in the real world. You and ORDER were determined to stop One and save the world no matter what. I know you’re a good-hearted man, Dama. I can now say, with complete confidence, that I trust you with the responsibility of being the owner of the laboratory and the Virtual World.”

A kind smile flashed across Dama’s face as he listened to Moltar’s words. He bowed to him and replied, “Thank you, Moltar. Those words mean so much to me. I can promise you that I will do no harm to anyone with this laboratory.”

“Alright.” Shadow jumped in, “Moltar and I have some preparations to make for you. You should take the time to make your preparations as well.”

“Very well.” Dama spoke. He then headed towards the basement of the lab.

Dama entered the dark basement and walked towards a solitary light in the middle. Underneath this light rested the casket that he had brought to the lab that morning. Dama placed his hand on the coffin and gently ran it across the top. He spoke aloud, “It is time, my dear.”

Episode 56: Divine Encounter! Beginning of the Journey

Chapter 111:Destruction of War

While Moltar and Shadow made preparations for the new owner of the laboratory, Dama stood besides the casket. “After all this time, I’ll finally be able to see you.” He thought as he looked down at it. He then remembered how all of this had started for him.

In the 1940’s, when Dama was a child, he believed he lived a pleasant life. He had a loving mother, a hard-working father, and a caring older sister by his side. They grew up in a small house in Europe together as a happy family. However, that all changed with the beginning of a war.

Dama’s father joined the fight, leaving behind his wife, daughter and son. The family worried much about the father, but he would regularly send letters to them, which kept their spirits up.

Things turned grim though on one pitch-black night. The town that Dama lived in was attacked by the enemy. Buildings were burnt to the ground, and the townspeople were mercilessly slaughtered by the soldiers. When Dama’s mother heard them break into the house, she rushed to find her children. Unfortunately, the enemy found her first, and easily disposed of her with a bullet. Dama’s sister, frightened for her life, cried out. This lead the enemy to her location, and the young girl was also attacked. After that, the men exited the house.

Meanwhile, Dama, who had hid under his bed, finally came out when things had quieted. What he saw horrified him; his dead mother, lying in a pool of her own blood, next to his fatally-wounded sister, who was barely clinging to her life.

“Mother…” He gasped, tears forming in his eyes. “My sister, Eve, but why-”

His sister interrupted and spoke, “It is war, and this is what happens.” She then coughed up a pool of blood and continued, “It’s too late for us, but you still have a chance to live and make a difference.” The sound of glass being broken was heard, and the house started to catch fire.

Dama could barely speak as he cried, “I can’t leave you behind.”

“Dama, dear brother…go and live.” His sister spoke with her dying breath. Dama, torn over the decision to leave his family behind, eventually exited out the back of the house before it burnt to the ground. When he made it outside, he saw the other houses burning and other bodies dead on the streets. He mourned all night.

By the time morning came, the fires had died out and the town was quiet. There were a few survivors, including Dama, who stood next to the remains of his house.

Dama remained quiet, but he heard an elder female voice speak, “It’s such a shame to see humans do this to its own kind. Why can’t they just live in peace instead of committing these senseless acts of violence?”

“Huh?” Dama spoke aloud. “Who’s there?” He looked around, but saw no one standing around him.

“You can...hear me?” The voice spoke again.

“Yes, I can hear you.” Dama replied, “Who is this? And where are you?”

“This boy, he’s special.” The voice spoke, “I am a spirit. I have been wandering this Earth for millennia. I’ve seen towns come and go, civilizations rise and fall, periods of time begin and end. However, you are the first to ever acknowledge me.”

The boy, unconcerned with all of this, asked, “Do you know…where my mother and sister are? If you’re a spirit, then you should be able to communicate with them.”

“I am not a spirit of the dead. However, I want to help you honor her words. I can see that she told you to live, to live and try to make a difference in this world.”

“But how?” Dama asked the spirit. “I’m just a child.”

“I will help you.” The voice responded, “I will stay at your side. I have seen many things in all the years I’ve traveled this planet and I know humans very well. I know how to end wars and the despair they bring. I know how to stop all of the suffering. Dama, with me at your side, we will be able to change the world.”

Dama was now captured by the words of the spirit. He wasn’t sure what to make of all of it, but now that he was all alone, he had no one else to turn to. “I will go. But, I don’t know what to call you.”

“You can call me…Eve. Think of me as the spirit of your older sister, caring for you and guiding you down the right path. We are going to craft this vision of war into a vision of peace for all.” Dama’s eyes lit up at these words, and he felt truly touched. A warm embrace wrapped around him, and he no longer believed that he was alone.

*Chapter End*

Chapter 112:Start of Search

When Dama had finished reliving that day, he spoke, “That was when I met you. And now, many years later, I will finally be able to introduce you to the rest of the world.” Dama then thought about his travels with the spirit.

After that day, the spirit led Dama to a husband and wife that lived in a peaceful place, far away from the troubles of society. The spirit knew that this family would be willing to take in the small child and raise him. He stayed with the family until he was 18, and during the years, he learned much. Not only did the family educate him, but the spirit also taught him worldly knowledge about what she had encountered in her time traveling the Earth.

When he was 18, he decided to leave the caring family. After saying his goodbyes and setting out for a new life, he spoke to the spirit. “Before we set out on this journey, I want to know your real name.”

The spirit responded, “Why is that?”

Dama replied, “Because, I don’t need you to pretend that you are the spirit of my sister. I have moved on, and now I want to get to know the real you.”

The spirit remained silent for a moment before saying, “My name is Osvata.”

From there, Dama and Osvata traveled all across the world, visiting famous sites and talking to all different kinds of people. They had started on a quest to try and change the world, and at each stop they made, they learned something new.

After almost 40 years of traveling, Dama and Osvata settled down in the United States. A few more years passed, and this is when the spirit had a very special conversation with Dama.

Osvata asked, “Dama, if there was an opportunity to give me a human body, would you do whatever you could to make that possible?”

“Yes, I would.” Dama replied, “After everything you have done for me, I refuse to say no to any request you ask of me. My complete trust is in you.”

“I’m glad to hear that.” Osvata replied, “We shall begin then. I guided us to America to conduct a search. I want you to find gifted individuals and gather them together.”

Dama asked, “How will I know who to choose?”

Osvata responded, “You are special. You have a power inside of you that can detect these individuals. You’ll know who to select when you find them.”

“Very well” Dama concluded. After that, Dama began this search, which took him all over the country.

A year after he had settled in the country, he visited a certain college campus. “Something has drawn me to this place.” He thought, “Could one of the people Osvata wanted me to find be here?” As he walked around the campus, he passed by a small auditorium. Its doors were opened, and Dama peeked inside.

“All of us have potential, but only a certain few have the potential to rise above the rest. They will be the ones that hold the future in their grasp!” The man was then escorted off the stage by security. Once he was off-stage, he exited the auditorium. As he walked out, he spoke, “Foolish people, unwilling to accept the truth.”

“What you said in there intrigued me.” Dama spoke from nearby, which startled the man. “A certain few people have the potential to rise above the rest. I agree with this.”

“The problem is those people are unable to realize the potential they have.” The man interrupted, “But I…I think I can find them.”

Dama was taken aback by the man’s words. “Does this man really have the same gift as me?”

The man spoke, “So, did you want something, like an autograph? Because I have places to be.”

Dama then glared at the student and thought, “This kid, he has a foul attitude, but perhaps…” Dama then spoke to the man, “I want you to come with me. I am on a search to find special people, those with the potential to change the world. You would greatly assist me in my search.”

“You want to change the world?” The man asked, “That’s a hell of a goal. But you know what, I’m in. I can’t say I haven’t had my own thoughts of starting a movement. Together, we can actually make this happen.”

The two men then shook hands to cement their new partnership.

“That partnership…” Dama spoke aloud, still standing over the coffin. “He was the first person to join us, the man now known as…Two.”

Moltar: Well that was some good backstory. What's next?

Shadow: Um...Moltar

Dama: It's not over yet.

Moltar: Oh...so I guess we're going to see what happened between you and Two next.

Dama: That is correct. You'll also learn how I created ORDER.

Moltar: Alright! Let the backstory continue!

Episode 57: ORDER is Born! Gathering of the Six

Chapter 113:
Birth of ORDER

For several months, Dama and his new partner planned out their strategy to change the world. Both men agreed that they would have to find those with special potential in order to achieve their goal. However, the two did reach a disagreement after a while.

“What you’re proposing is…impossible.” Dama’s partner spoke. “People aren’t just born with those kinds of abilities. What we need to do is to find people worthy of experimenting on. Then we can tap into that potential and use it to start the change.”

“No.” Dama countered, “It must be done naturally. Certain humans have a power reserve inside of them lying dormant. We need to find them and work with them in order to awaken that power.”

“And how do you know this?” His partner asked, “You can’t just expect me to believe that humans are capable of something like that without any proof.”

“The spirit who has guided me all over the world, and ultimately to you, has informed me of all this.” Dama replied.

The man scowled when he heard this, “A spirit, I should have expected that. Listen here, old man, you’re mind is in the right place, but your ideas are asinine. If you’re going to keep talking about these spirits and hidden powers then I want nothing more to do with you.”

Dama held his head down and calmly spoke, “I’m sorry, but I stand by my words.”

Shortly after this conversation, the two men went separate ways. They knew that without a common idea of how to attain their goal, they would never be able to succeed in their plans to change the world. While Dama thought about his next move, Osvata commented to him, “His mind is in the right place, but he is determined to change the world in his own way. Our paths will cross again eventually, and the knowledge we have taught him will either make him into a worthy ally, or a feared foe.”

When Dama continued his search to find these special humans, he became disappointed with the results. Another year passed, and he was unable to locate anyone. “Osvata…” He spoke to the spirit with growing frustration, “This search is getting us nowhere. Can’t you just tell me where these people are?”

“No. Only you can detect those people with your powers.” Osvata replied, “If you are unable to find them, then maybe your powers aren’t strong enough.”

Dama’s eyes opened wide at this realization. He never had imagined that the problem lied with his own powers. Dama replied, “Your words have helped me yet again. Thank you for your eternal guidance.”

After that, Dama underwent intense mental training. He remained in solitude for a decade honing his own abilities. During all of this training, he thought about what he would do with the people he would gather. “I will unite them. They will be my followers, and together we will move to create a new world order.”

In 2002, a rumor that had been spreading among the public reached Dama. “A…Virtual World?” Dama asked Osvata.

“Yes.” She replied, “This will be the door that opens the power of this world to us. All we need is the key.” After a short pause, the spirit continued, “You shall resume your search. You are ready now.”

Dama, certain that Osvata was correct about her statement, restarted his search. Six months later, a strong sensation occurred inside of his body. He had never felt anything else like it before. Dama had entered into the territory that housed a certain individual. After Dama caught a glimpse of him, the sensation became even stronger. “This man; he’s just a teenager. Still, if he one of the people I have been searching for…” This gave Dama the idea to test the man. He found a worthy opponent for the special one and told the challenger that he had the strength to become leader over the area. All he would need to do is take out the current leader.

This lead to the challenger fighting the man Dama had his eye on, and after it was all said and done, the current leader was victorious. This is when Dama introduced himself to the man known as Tippem.

“And on that day, at that moment, ORDER was born.” Dama spoke, still standing with the casket in the basement. “Now look at where we are today. ORDER has grown considerably. The chosen people were strong enough to attain that key for us. Now we stand at the door, key in place. All that’s left is for you to be the one to open it.”

Chapter 114:Growth of Followers

After two years of training with Tippem, discovering how to unlock the power inside of him and working with him to strengthen it, he went in search of his next follower.

He found him only a month later in a cheap hotel. He confronted Skevipaar there, who was beating himself up over the fact that he allowed a criminal to kill his hostage. After Dama convinced him to join, Dama and Tippem taught him about ORDER and how to unlock and develop his powers.

In 2005, less than a full year after finding Skevipaar, Dama recruited the best friends, Ritti and Tartite, into ORDER. He encountered the two as they were preparing for their first day of college. He told them about the organization and offered them to go with him. Tartite was hesitant and overwhelmed by the offer, but Ritti was very excited. She coaxed Tartite to join with her, and that marked the day when the two became members.

When they arrived at the base of ORDER, Dama told them about the potential power they had in them. After watching Tippem and Skevipaar display their powers, Ritti exclaimed, “Holy crap! We can do stuff like that? How, tell me how!”

Tartite was in shock, “No way, I can’t believe it. There are humans who are capable of doing feats like that? And we’re part of them? Very interesting…” This fascination led to Tartite keeping several records on all the members of ORDER. She eventually took on the role of manager of the group.

In early 2006, Fedetra encountered Dama, who saved her life just before she was run down by a speeding car. When Dama told her about the power inside of her, she became curious. She also felt as if she was indebted to the man who had just saved her life. Therefore, she joined him and ORDER.

A couple months later, Dama found the final member of ORDER in Skevipaar’s younger brother, Iykkari. After hearing from Dama that he knew where his long-lost brother was, he went to the base of ORDER. There, after witnessing the changed Skevipaar, Iykkari decided to join in order to discover the power inside of him.

Later in the year, Osvata had a special conversation with Dama. “Dama, now that you have gathered the special ones, it is time for us to go on a trip.”

“Where are we going?” Dama asked.

“Just follow my voice. I will guide you there.” Osvata responded. Dama left the base of ORDER, leaving Tartite in charge of the others. The spirit then guided him to the back of a building. Dama created a portal and came out inside a darkened room. He then hit a switch, and the light flickered on, revealing a laboratory filled with screens and monitors.

“Where are we?” Dama asked.

“This is the laboratory that houses the Virtual World.” Osvata replied, “It has just been abandoned, and it will now be ours.” Outside, both Shadow and Moltar, clueless to the visitor in their laboratory, walked away from the building now that they had ended Project: War 2.

Later that day, he returned to the base of ORDER and told the other members about what he had found. While the members continued to train, Dama made daily visits to the laboratory. There, he learned all about the Virtual World and its controls. For three years, he continued to develop the Virtual World. However, there was one bit of information that evaded him. He spoke to Osvata, “There’s no information about a way to give you a human body. However, I did find some protected files hidden deep in the computer. They were mostly useless except for three words that stood out, ‘resurrect the dead’. I don’t know what that could mean though.”

“Then perhaps we should find Moltar and ask him about it.” Osvata replied.

“I doubt he would tell us though. The information was obviously hidden away or deleted for a reason.” Dama responded, “Besides, it’s been years since he left here. He could be anywhere by now.”

“Don’t worry about that. I’ll arrange a meeting.” The spirit Osvata spoke, “And if he won’t tell us, then we’ll make him an offer I know he won’t turn down.”

“Yes…” Dama spoke aloud, “It was you who arranged for Moltar, One and Finalbowser to cross paths on that day. That allowed me to appear and give him our offer, a competition for ownership of the laboratory. After he accepted, you said you would leave, and that everything would play out as you planned from there. When I asked you about when you would return, you said that it would be when the time has come. Well…the time is near.”

“Dama!” Moltar’s voice called from above. “We’re ready now.”

“Very well.” Dama responded. The light above Dama and the casket blackened, and Dama headed up from the basement.

Episode 58: Body and Soul! Activation of the Program

Chapter 115:Program of Life

Dama returned from the basement of the laboratory to see Moltar and Shadow sitting in front of the main computer. “The program you requested has been reinstalled.” Shadow spoke.

“That was fast.” Dama replied.

Moltar followed, “Before we deleted it from the Virtual World data, Shadow made a copy. Even though I never intended to use it, I told him to hold onto it, just so all the time we spent on it wouldn’t be a waste.”

“I see.” Dama responded, and then continued, “Well, how do I use the program?”

“Program: Life relies on two things.” Shadow started, “The first is that an artificially created personality, or soul, needs to be created using the Virtual World program. The second is a body to be sent to the Virtual World and house the personality. When the body and soul meet in the Virtual World, they create a human that then exists in that world.”

Moltar cut in, “That means the participants and ORDER who are currently in the Virtual World are not technically the same people they are here. Your group seems to have the same personalities here and in the real world. However, the participants may or may not have the same personalities. We aren’t really sure how it’s determined.”

Shadow then continued, “So a person in the real world and a person in the Virtual World are two different personalities that share the same body. What the program allows for is so that a human with no personality, or soul-”

“Or life, basically someone who’s dead.” Moltar interjected.

Shadow kept going without missing a beat, “To have the body sent to the Virtual World and be given a soul there. The way the body looks can either be programmed or be an estimate of what the person would look like if they were alive today. Then, they can return to the real world with that new body and soul.”

“Thus, a human is reborn.” Moltar commented, “The idea seemed so awesome at first; to be able to play God and give life to a human being while controlling over my own world. However, once I created Program: Life, I just couldn’t bring myself to use it. I…just couldn’t.”

“That’s quite impressive.” Dama spoke after listening to all of this. “I understand the internal strife that having such a program can create. I too, am fearful of using this program. However, I must use it this one time. I have been waiting for this moment for my entire life.”

“And I can’t stop you.” Moltar spoke, “The laboratory and Virtual World are all yours now.”

“Then let’s get to work.” Dama concluded.

The men then went to work on programming the soul for the body Dama had brought to the lab. While they did this, the participants in the Virtual World said their goodbyes to each other. Now that the competition had ended, Moltar had the job of bringing all of the participants back to the real world. He thought about completely erasing their minds of the experience, but decided against it.

Many hours passed as the three men worked. When the competition ended in the morning, it had been cloudy outside. Throughout the day, the cloud build-up only became worse. Then, it started to rain. At first it was light, but then it became heavy later into the day.

By the time the rain poured down, the three men were all done with their preparations. Moltar had sent all the participants home, and Shadow and Dama finished creating the personality for the body. Shadow spoke, “Alright, now all we need to do is hook the body up to a machine so we can transfer it to the Virtual World.”

Dama replied, “It’s in the basement, you can take care of that, can’t you Moltar?”

“Sure.” Moltar responded. “You know I’ll have to open the casket and transfer the body to the machine though. Are you okay with that?”

“Yes.” Dama answered. Moltar nodded and then headed into the basement. Meanwhile, Shadow positioned himself in front of the main computer, readying the program for use.

Dama created a black portal in the wall and started to walk towards it. Shadow asked, “Where are you going?”

“I’m going to greet her.” Dama answered.

When Moltar went to the basement and turned on the lights, he saw the casket in the middle of the room. He started to move it and then stopped. He placed his hand of the top of the casket, and slowly opened the top. When he saw the contents of this casket, his eyes widened in shock.

Chapter 116:Arrival of Goddess

Inside the Virtual World, the only people left were the members of ORDER. With Tippem still gone, the other five members stood outside the southeastern castle. “I’m ready to go home.” Ritti spoke out, “Why are we still in this place?”

“Moltar said Dama wanted us to stay here.” Fedetra responded. “He didn’t say why though.”

Just then, a black portal appeared in front of them. From the portal emerged the leader of their group, Dama. “Dama?!” Several members exclaimed, surprised to see him there.

“Why did you come to the Virtual World?” Tartite asked.

“You’ll see in due time, Tartite.” Dama responded, “We are about to witness the arrival of the one who is responsible for everything we have achieved.”

Back in the laboratory, Moltar entered back into the main part of the laboratory. Shadow asked, “Is everything ready?” A couple seconds of silence passed, and Shadow turned around. He saw Moltar standing a short distance away, his head facing the ground. “Is something wrong?”

Moltar started, “The body Dama plans to use…it’s weird. That person’s been dead for a pretty long time, only the skeleton is left. Whoever it was also died when they were pretty young. This was also in the casket.” He pulled out a folded piece of paper and handed it to Shadow. He opened it and saw that it was a drawing. It appeared to have been done by a child. The drawing contained four figures, a tall man named “Father”, a slightly-shorter figure named “Mother”, and two children. One of the children, a boy, had the label, “Dama”. The other, a girl, had the label, “Eve”.

“Do you think he’s trying to bring back his sister?” Moltar asked.

“Perhaps, but it’s not important. Did you hook the remains up to the machine?” Shadow asked.

“Yes, it’s done.” Moltar replied. Shadow then hit a couple of keys to start the transfer into the Virtual World. Moltar looked at the main screen, and saw ORDER standing together in front of the final castle in the Virtual World. “Dama…” He thought, not exactly what to make of all of this.

Inside the Virtual World, the wind started to pick up quickly. “What’s going on?” Iykkari asked. Before he could get an answer, a white pillar of light shot down from the sky and landed right in front of the group.

“What’s happening?” Moltar asked Shadow as the two watched from the laboratory, “This isn’t supposed to happen!”

“I don’t know.” Shadow replied, “But the transfer is going smoothly. The program isn’t causing this.”

ORDER held their ground as they watched a glowing red light descend inside the white beam. Dama’s eyes lit up as he watched the spectacle, “Is that…is that her?”

On the ground in the center of the light, a body appeared. Shortly after its appearance, the red light entered into the body. The eyes of the body opened, and a red flash occurred. The flash created a giant wave of energy that sent a shockwave throughout the Virtual World. This sent all the members of ORDER flying back and to the ground.

In the real world, Moltar and Shadow were speechless at what they witnessed. Never had the transfer of a body to the real world produced these results. Outside the building, while the heavy rain continued, a flash of lightning occurred, followed by the roar of thunder. The laboratory shook violently, and the lights and monitors flicked out. A couple seconds later, as a back-up generator kicked in, everything came back on.

After that, everything calmed down in the Virtual World. The white light disappeared, and the wind calmed down. The sun continued to shine in the cloudless sky, and ORDER started to get back on their feet.

“Oww, my head.” Ritti commented as she got back to her feet. She then looked out and saw a figure standing a short distance away in front of her. “Who is that?”

The other members of ORDER also looked on, confused as to who this new person was. The human in front of them was an old lady with facial features similar to Dama. Her gray hair was tied up in a fancy bun. She wore a white and red cloak, similar to the other robes of ORDER. While the members of ORDER observed her, she observed her surroundings. She saw the tall castle, the plains that extended into the horizon, and the other people standing in front of her. She then looked down at her hands and her eyes opened wide. She then saw her feet, and touched her body with her hands. “Can in truly be…after all of this time.”

“ORDER…” Dama started, “Allow me to introduce you to the Goddess, Osvata!”
