Upcoming Nick Programming

-A new Nickelodeon movie called "JINXED" is being filmed in Canada. Jack Griffo from the The Thundermans stars in it, a long side Ciara Bravo. He had confirmed this in an interview. Also filming for the Thundermans officially kicks off in July

-Kinda old news, but Dan Schnieder is planning a new show without recycled stars.

Hey that's awesome news. Could we have a link for both? Deng filming for TTM hasn't even started? That might take awhile for it to make it on air, but it's only 13 episodes.

I'm interested in whatever Dan is planning. I've always felt he's capable of producing two hit shows on Nick at once (All That/Keanan and Kel, Drake and Josh/Zoey101, iCarly/Victorious). Only benefits Nick. Good to know he's willing to start a new show without old Nick stars, although someone like Ciara Bravo, you'd hope Nick could use her for something. Talented young actress that's grown up on Nick. Even the girl on Marvin Marvin (Victory Van Something) seems like a capable actress.

I'd hope the team behind Ned's Declassified and Big Time Rush is also thinking about a new show. Although I think they might be the team behind one of the new sitcoms...

Bored on this 4th of July, so I thought I'd update Nick's current/upcoming programming as of July:

ENDING:
Big Time Rush - S4 3(13) episodes left - 7/11, 7/18, 7/25* 1-hour special
Figure it Out - S2 5(30) episodes left - 7/8, 7/9, 7/10, 7/11

LIKELY CANCELLED:
- AwesomnessTV - S1 12(13) episodes left - 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29
- Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness - S3 18(26) episodes left
- See Dad Run - S2 17(20) episodes left
- Wendell and Vinnie* - S1 6(20) episodes left
*Small chance WaV will be picked up for another season, but doubt it.

CONTINUING SERIES:
- The Fairly Oddparents - S9 21(26) episodes left
- The Haunted Hathaways - S1 20(20) episodes left - 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/1
- The Legend of Korra - S1p2 14(14) episodes left (Renewed through Season 2)
- Monsters vs Aliens* - S1 17(26) episodes left
- Power Rangers Megaforce - S20 11(20) episodes left (Renewed through Season 21, "Power Rangers Megaforce" premieres 2014)
- Sam and Cat* - S1 16(20) episodes left - 7/13, 7/20, 7/27
- Sanjay and Craig* - S1 15(20) episodes left - 7/13
- Spongebob Squarepants - S9 19(26) episodes left
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - S1 3(26) episodes left (Renewed for Seasons 2 and Season 3, 26 episodes each, Season 2 premieres September 2013)
- Winx Club - S5 3(26) episodes left (Renewed Season 6, premieres Spring 2014)
*Most of Nick's continuing programs will be around for awhile - especially the Nicktoons because of Nick's half episode premieres. I expect SaC and SJC to be renewed for second seasons airing in 2014. Not sure what the MvA status is. It's been OK in its premieres and reruns, but nothing special. And considering Dreamworks may not be partnering with Nick anymore, not sure if it'll be around past Season 1.

ON HIATUS:
- Penguins of Madagascar - S3 7(26) episodes unaired
- Robot and Monster - S1 4(26) episodes unaired
- T.U.F.F. Puppy - S2 10(20) episodes left, S3 20(20) episodes left
*Hope no other Nick show suffers the same fate as these three. I think Nick will air remaining PoM episodes on Nicktoons. If RaM makes it on Nick, it'll likely be 7 a.m. premieres. I'm hopeful that once KFP is finished, TP will then get weekday premieres of its final 30 episodes. KFP had a similar count before it began the weekday airings.

UPCOMING:
- Breadwinners - S1 20 episodes
- Digimon: Fusion - S1 30 episodes
- Get Blake - S1 26 episodes
- Rabbids Invasion - S1 26 episodes
- The Thundermans - S1 13 episodes
*I think Breadwinners, Digimon Fusion, and Rabbids Invasion will premiere late August, early September. The Thundermans, I think will premiere Thanksgiving weekend (similar to MM). Get Blake I think will begin early 2014.

RUMORED SHOWS:
- Dan Schnieder comedy
- Nick Cannon sketch

Wow nice layout.

& Yea Get Blake was originally scheduled to air this winter, but I guess Nick rescheduled...

I think Nick should just get rid of (either move to a different network, end, or cancel) the following:
Monsters vs Aliens
Winx Club
TUFF
Robot and Monster
Penguins
See Dad Run
Wendell and Vinnie (sigh)
Awesomeness
Kung Fu Panda
(Not Including Ending)

If those shows were gone, Nick would have 9 shows on its overall network. 9 shows that could have each made it onto the daily/weekend lineup. The rest of the shows I named just make the network list of shows look cluttered and unorganized

By 2014..Nick will have a lot of Nicktoons. Hopefully they don't clutter everything on Saturday, and expand their nights to Fridays & Sundays. Plus, I think Thursday would be a good movie day for Nickelodeon.

I think Nick should give Sam & Cat a back order. It's likely to finish Season 1 by December (January if Nick extends it out)

Quick question: Why was Sanjay & Craig picked up for 20 episodes, by Rabbids was picked up for 26? Did Nick actually have more faith in Rabbids?

Also, Swindle will be airing in early 2014.

I think all the shows you've mentioned are pretty much done (like I stated in my above post). I feel you on WaV. Extremely funny and well-written show, but Nick was pressured to get stability Saturday nights and pretty much shuffled WaV around. I think if Nick left WaV Sunday nights like it had originally planned, it would have been a nice block with SDR and both shows would've benefitted. Wouldn't be surprised if Nick will return WaV to Sunday nights in the Fall for its last six episodes. Hoping for a renewal - perhaps if premieres do well whatever night they are. But not counting on it.

Winx Club will have a Season 6. Nick MAY push WC a bit more according to a recent post on NickAlive. How did you hear about Swindle airing in 2014? Wondering if it will still be a draw... that's quite awhile away for a movie that began production in 2012.

20 episodes for its shows is safer than 26. Recently, Nick has been ordering wiser. Shorter seasons like 13 and 20 are much more manageable, especially for shows that are questionable (MM/ATV). With that said, MvA and RR were officially picked up, when SJC and SaC were pilots. Standard for Nick shows used to be 26, but we saw how that screwed things up when Planet Sheen, FB&CC, SN, HTR, Fred, BaS, RaM, etc. got large episode orders, but flopped. Imagine if MM was kept to the original 26, instead of dropping to 20. I think 20 will be the new standard for Nick shows and if they hold to the standard 60-episode lifespan, it gives shows at least three seasons if they are successful, which is good IMO. 13 episodes also help shows like SN, BTR and now ATV remain on air straight, despite weak ratings.

----

I think this is how Nick should go about scheduling, assuming the current batch of shows plus the new ones remain on air together:

Thursday PM:
8:00 p.m. - Nickelodeon Movie

Friday PM:
6:00 p.m. - Spongebob Squarepants - NEW
6:30 p.m. - Breadwinners - NEW
7:00 p.m. - Rabbids Invasion - NEW
7:30 p.m. - AwesomenessTV - NEW (Assuming it sticks around, if not, premieres beginning 6:30 p.m.)
8:00 p.m. - Nickelodeon Movie (encore of Thursday night)
*I would extend these to Friday night. Kind of a wacky-zany lineup. And I'd give SBSP a Friday p.m. premiere to boost the lineup.

Saturday AM:
9:30 a.m. - The Fairly Oddparents - NEW
10:00 a.m. - Spongebob Squarepants (encoure of Friday night premiere)
10:30 a.m. - Sanjay and Craig - NEW
11:00 a.m. - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - NEW
11:30 a.m. - Get Blake! - NEW
12:00 p.m. - Monsters vs Aliens - NEW
1:00 p.m. - Power Rangers: Megaforce - NEW
1:30 p.m. - Digimon: Fusion - NEW
*SBSP encore would still do well and give the Saturday morning lineup a boost. Plus, the lineup has shown they can do well even without a SBSP premiere. I think Get Blake will be another hit, more so than BW or RI which is why I'd air it Sat mornings.

Saturday PM:
7:30 p.m. - The Legend of Korra - NEW
8:00 p.m. - Sam and Cat - NEW
8:30 p.m. - The Haunted Hathaways - NEW
9:00 p.m. - The Thundermans - NEW
*Was debating where to put LoK. Was thinking maybe 9 p.m. so THH would be between SaC and THH, but that kinna breaks the sitcom lineup. Saturday nights needs a boost and LoK would probably score higher than SaC would, so SaC gets a boost from LoK (yes, even though the shows don't "flow" well). This helps the whole night overall. Was also thinking, maybe have SBSP at 7:30 instead of LoK. In any case, best way to give SatPM a boost would be with SBSP or LoK premieres.

Along with what rocko(x3) said, CG-animated shows typically get 26 episode orders instead of anything shorter because they're usually more expensive to make and therefore not worth only doing 13 or 20 episodes. Penguins, KFP, MvA are all examples of that. If Rabbids does really well, then Nick will order a larger second season (similar to Penguins) but if not it's another safe way to test out a show.

I'm working on my own schedule to post soon but yours is pretty good rocko(x3). More thoughts to come...

I think Spongebob should remain on the Sat AM lineup. While FOP doesn't need a lead in, I think Sanjay and Craig is going to need a little help from the Sponge. I'll post mine soon..it's going to be waaaaayyy different though.

T.U.F.F. Puppy and Robot and Monster could also get aired for the remaining episodes on Nicktoons!

lets not forget about swindle later this year I hope.

According to Futon Critic, Rabbids Invasion will premiere August 3rd @ 11:30 AM.

Wow. Nick is really making a push to get all its new programs out by the end of the year. I expect Breadwinners won't be too far behind either. Kinna overwhelming, but I kinna like it.

NickALive!

NickAlive has a couple more clips on The Haunted Hathaways. I tell you what, I chuckled a couple times. It's not Dan Schnieder or Scott Fellows quality on a pilot, but definitely not as bad as Marvin Marvin and Bucket and Skinner's pilots. As compared to MM, looks like there's much more quality in the actors.

I expected it to happen to be honest. After all, when you only have two out of all the series that premiered in 2012 getting a second season, and all the live-action cancelled, an onslaught to see what will be successful or not is bound to happen.

Taking a cue from rocko(x3) I was gonna post my version of a schedule a few days ago but I've been swamped. Anyway, in light of recent developments I've modified the schedule slightly. But here are some of my thoughts of what Nick should do with its upcoming programming:

Weekdays-
4:00pm - T.U.F.F. Puppy (30 episodes left in season 2 and season 3) / Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness (18 episodes left in season 3)
4:30pm - Rocket Monkeys (21 episodes left in season 1 and season 2)
7:30pm - Figure It Out (Final episode in season 6 July 17th)

~ This one's pretty self-explanatory. FiO's final episode is currently scheduled for this coming Wednesday; TP is allegedly going to be doing a week of premieres in August. I think if Nick goes through with it and TP does well (roughly as well as KFP did a few weeks ago) then I think this is how TP should end its run on Nick. I don't expect it to make it through all 30 episodes though. Once the ratings dip TP will undoubtedly be shipped off to Nicktoons; Similar to TP, I see KFP ending its run on weekday slot. I don't see it being shipped off to Nicktoons though, it's been too consistent of a performer; As for RM, it was just renewed for a second season (in Canada) so if Nick decides to air the remaining episodes it'd be in a weekday slot.

Sundays-
12:00pm - Winx Club (29 episodes left in season 5 and season 6)
12:30pm - Digimon Fusion (30 episodes in season 1)
1:00pm - Power Rangers (Super) Megaforce (33 episodes left in season 1 and season 2)
8:00pm - See Dad Run (17 episodes left in season 2)
8:30pm - Wendell & Vinnie (6 episodes left in season 1)

~ I decided to play around with Sundays a bit. Winx Club just simply shouldn't be premiering alone anymore. So I decided to bump it back to noon and also throw the Rangers over to Sunday as well. Let's face it, Nick isn't doing anything with the Rangers right now and Saturdays are simply too crowded; Honestly, I'm not sure where Nick's gonna put Digimon so I figured I'd sandwiched it in between the two "established" shows to hopefully give it a boost. If they packaged it right they could have a nice little "acquired shows" block; SDR's not going anywhere and I don't expect a season 3 unless the ratings go up; W&V really needs to be next to its Nick@Nite brother because it simply doesn't fit with the rest of Nick's live-action shows. If Nick wants to take a chance I'd say renew it for a short 13 episode second season to pair up with SDR's chunk of episodes. In all honesty though its first season ratings weren't great toward the end so we'll see what they do.

Mondays & Thursdays-
8:00pm - AwesomenessTV (11 episodes left in season 1) / Big Time Rush (Series finale July 25th)

~ Nick should just keep chugging along w/ ATV's Monday night slot until its ratings totally collapse and then chuck it; BTR's finale is rapidly approaching too.

Fridays-
7:00pm - The Fairly OddParents! (21 episodes left in season 9)
7:30pm - Monsters vs. Aliens (17 episodes left in season 1)
8:00pm - The Legend of Korra (40 episodes left in book 2, book 3 and book 4)
8:30pm - Get Blake (26 episodes in season 1)

~ Nickelodeon really needs to reclaim Friday nights and they've got to start somewhere. I think sticking FOP and Korra on Fridays is a good move for several reasons. Both shows don't have spots on the schedule right now and together they could help stabilize a Friday block; I originally had MvA in its Saturday slot but since that's where Rabbids is going I decided to stick it in between FOP and Korra. I'm not too thrilled about the move since it gives Korra a weaker lead-in but I think Korra will be fine long-term; I'm not really sure what Get Blake is about (whether it's more comedy or action-oriented) so the Korra lead-in might be a bit of a mismatch but we'll see.

Saturdays-
8-9:00am - SpongeBob SquarePants [encores]
9:30am - Breadwinners (20 episodes in season 1)
10:00am - SpongeBob SquarePants (19 episodes left in season 9)
10:30am - Sanjay and Craig (15 episodes left in season 1)
11:00am - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (56 episodes left in season 1, season 2 and season 3)
11:30am - Rabbids Invasion (26 episodes in season 1)
7:00pm - SpongeBob SquarePants [themed-encores]
7:30pm - The Thundermans (13 episodes in season 1)
8:00pm - Sam & Cat (36 episodes left in season 1)
8:30pm - The Haunted Hathaways (20 episodes in season 1)
9:00pm - See Dad Run [encores]
9:30pm - Wendell & Vinnie [encores]

~ Let's start with the morning: The Sponge, Turtles, Sanjay and Craig should all stay put; We'll see how the Rabbids fair at 11:30 but for now it's good; Breadwinners would benefit greatly from being sandwiched by The Sponge.

~ Now on to the night: Sam & Cat and Hathaways should stick to their slots (barring Hathaways doesn't crash out of the gate); I'm not convinced that Thundermans will excel at 9 o'clock so instead I've put it at 7:30 and The Sponge at 7 (Nick should use a new SpongeBob special leading into Thundermans' series premiere to really give it a boost). After that, use themed-SpongeBob encores; Having SDR and W&V at 9:00pm should help boost their appeal on Sundays (again, that's barring Hathaways' success).

Nicktoons Burnoff-
Fanboy & Chum Chum (1 episode left in season 2)
The Penguins of Madagascar (4 1/2 episodes left in season 3)
Robot and Monster (4 episodes left in season 1)

~ Sadly, the last Penguins episodes will likely make their way onto Nicktoons. Although I think there might be a half-hour special or two in this remaining batch that I think are more likely to show up on Nick; I just don't see RaM ending up anywhere but Nicktoons; That missing episode of Fanboy will surely pop up on Nicktoons at some point.

^ Whew that was a lot! I didn't realize this would be that long lol. I'd love to hear thoughts/opinions/comments/etc.

Very cool, hehe! Definitely a lot more daring than my schedule which was more on the safe side. I basically just moved SBSP and LoK out to Friday and Saturday nights to help support the block other blocks. I also have much less hope in Rabbids Invasion and Breadwinners (which is why I wanted them to air Fridays, keeping Nick's solid Saturday morning strong). But I definitely like the out of the box mentality behind moving FOP/LoK to Friday nights and then The Thundermans actually being sandwiched between SBSP rerun and SaC. This helped ANT Farm as it aired before Jessie, so viewers would just tune in to watch both.

But seriously, Nick should try to retake Friday nights. Aside from Jessie and Gravity Falls whenever Disney feels like it, it's not like that Friday is that strong for them. I really think even a LoK and TMNT pairing at 8 p.m. could challenge Disney head on. Who knows, with Nick having so many shows up and going, you'd hope they'd expand out to one more block. And I think Friday night is it's best bet.

Get Blake, for some reason reminds of Dexter's Lab. It's just a photo, but basically it looks like a comedy (light action) about alien squirrels that travel back in time to prevent Blake from becoming a super hero.

---

Alright, I'm gonna make a call on something that will likely NOT happen: ACTION FRIDAYS!

7:00 p.m. Digimon: Fusion
7:30 p.m. Power Rangers: Megaforce
8:00 p.m. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
8:30 p.m. The Legend of Korra

Now, I know this'll likely never happen, but doesn't that lineup LOOK like an action lineup? Put's CN to shame and would definitely challenge Disney at the 8 p.m. hour. I'm just not convinced Nick would sacrifice two bonafide hits like TMNT and LoK to go up against Disney. Could be shift to 6-8p.m. instead.

Alright, I'm gonna make a call on something that will likely NOT happen and has been dead on this board, ACTION FRIDAYS:

7:00 p.m. Power Rangers Mega Force
7:30 p.m. Digimon: Fusion
8:00 p.m. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
8:30 p.m. The Legend of Korra

Now, I know this'll likely never happen... but doesn't that lineup look like an action lineup? Put's CN to shame.

Thanks for the kind words :) But yeah I really liked the schedule you did but I just couldn't see Nick airing new SpongeBob episodes at 6pm on Friday. Breadwinners and Rabbids do seem like wildcards at this point but I already think Nick did a good job of putting Rabbids where MvA was. Best case scenario: Rabbids does really well there. Worst case scenario: it gets the same ratings at MvA did. Either way it seems to be in good shape.

I love that action lineup as well and if Nick had any intention of putting the Rangers in primetime I'd be all over it. Really though Korra and Digimon are the only shows where I'm not 100% positive where Nick's gonna put them. Korra could obviously go back to its 11 slot but that just seems unlikely given TMNT's success. I'd love to see Korra and TMNT back to back but it's almost unnecessary at this point because they can both succeed well on their own ya know?

My schedule.

Fridays:
Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles - 8:00pm
The Legend of Korra - 8:30pm

*Giving TMNT a LOK lead in wouldn't be good. TMNT would be going up against Jessie, Disney's flagship Friday night series. Besides, Turtles could easily damage ANT Farm, or at least dent it. Plus Nick execs need to be smart and move some programs to Fridays. I'm talking the SOLID 8PM hour. Not none of this "7pm or 6pm" non sense. Plus I feel like a prime time slot would benefit TMNT.

Saturday mornings:
The Fairly Odd Parents - 9:30am
Spongebob Squarepants - 10:00am
Sanjay & Craig - 10:30am
Get Blake! - 11:00am
Rabbids - 11:30am

That's a nice diverse lineup of Nicktoons right there. I wouldn't mess with FOP, since it's VERY solid @ that 9:30am slot. Blake just seems like it'll focus on comedy more, not action, and I think Saturday morning should be strictly for comedy only. Same for Rabbids.. it just seems more like a comedy, and looks like it doesn't have those serious action plots TMNT and Korra have. Yes, TMNT has some comedic moments here and there, but the series is mostly action. Whichever new show flops on this list = gets replaced by Breadwinners.

Saturday nights:
The Thundermans - 7:30pm
Sam & Cat - 8:00pm
The Haunted Hathaways - 8:30pm

I like what Justice did, and how he added The Thundermans @ 7:30, since it likely wont do decent @ 9:00.

I'm lazy as heck at the moment, so I'll do the rest later..

Is it true TUFF Puppy is returning to Nickelodeon in August for at least a week?
