Here we go people, the final battle with the Shredder begins today.

It's a gathering of old enemies and allies as The Shredder prepares to use the ultimate means of transport to spread his evil amongst the stars once more

The Turtles vs. Shredder vs. Bishop

Regardless it seems as though this two-parter could make a worthy series finale.

Sorry for putting a post up before the show airs, but, at the risk of igniting 4Kids criticism again, the programmers are not actually going to continue with that scrolling series of "shout-outs" during TMNT today, right?

I mean, other shows I could understand, but this is a MASSIVE episode...It would be like having that Apple-Pie Gator or whatever from that fighting food show popping up on the bottom of the screen.

[EDIT:] Sigh...Never mind. Whatever.

Ah, leave it to 4Kids to find a way to muddy even this. Stupid shout-outs.

Still, great episode, and can't wait for the conclusion.

Good episodes, but is any one else really annoyed and distracted by the message things going oon the bottom of the screen? It looks like they have squinched the screen a bit to fit that crap. Seriously, sometimes it looks like Splinter was short and fat.

Anyway, will it be worthy of being the final battle? I cannot say until we see part 2.

...Wow. I can't get all my thoughts together yet...

The episode managed to add in all the necessary characters: The turtles and their allies (Splinter, April, Casey, Leatherhead, Professor Honeycut), Shredder and the Foot, and also Bishop's team.

I was hoping Chaplain was actually Bishop's man on the inside; it doesn't necessarily make as much sense as Stockman, but it is far less repetitive than always having Stockman being the renegade.

Did Hun and Leatherhead survive the fall? And did anyone else notice what the close-captioning listed as Hun's falling cry: "Kraaaaaaaaang!" :D

So, who's going to die next week?

I don't know. Something just didn't sit right with me with this eppy. Maybe cause I missed the first 6 minutes of it or whatever. But it was still a good episode (though Donny's alternate dimension episode was slightly better).
I liked Karai's talk with Shredder. He even sounded like a caring person.

Son of a---damnit. I missed it!

It's way too obvious.

Shredder. Shredder is going to die.

Seriously- They've been gearing up for this for three seasons. It's the perfect opertinuity to kill off Shredder once and for all, and the best way to do it.

This show has already proven it can survive without a big villain in every episode, and it would just pave the way for Bishop as the Big Bad, and open the field for new baddies.

Oh, and I'm sure that Leatherhead and Hun are alive. After everything that Hun has been though, I'm sure they'd love to bring him back as a minor (or major!) villain. I mean, he was the face of Shredder's operations on earth for a very long time. Without Shredder, who else can lead the Foot?

... Though, I'm forced to wonder just how Hun didn't know that Shredder was an Utrom this whole time...

Maybe when Shredder's gone, the Rat King will take over or something. But then again, maybe

Splinter

might die.

I heard Kruuuuuuud because it was the same tone as the episode when Don was transported into the future world.

As for whos going to die, I say Shredder, which will be at Kurai's hands. I do not know why, I just have this feeling she is going to turn on him.

This episode, although it was really good, somehow lacked an oomph that I felt in previous episodes. I guess the writers wanted to focus more on the development phase for this episode before giving us the final battle next week.

I always had a feeling that Shredder would build a rocket ship of some sort to leave the earth, even long before the preview for this episode aired.

Stockman joining with Bishop should prove to be a very unholy alliance indeed as I believe that this will contribute greatly to the "Mutants & Monsters" plotline for next season.

Shredder. Shredder is going to die.
That's what I'm betting on. I always wondered if it would be Shredder or Splinter because either of their deaths would be significant.

The closed captions actually said that??? I heard it simply as Aaaarrgggh!!!

We've seen Hun take great falls off of buildings before and live to tell about it so I don't think he'll be out of the picture yet. ;) And as for the foot, if Shredder dies and Karai quits, nobody will lead the foot. That's it, the foot is officially dead.

I also agree that the shout-outs were annoying but what are you going to do?

All in all, great episode, despite the lack of oomph.

P.S. Damn, April sure looks good in that dress! :o

BTW didnt the Shredder say that Umtrons were going to come back to imprison him ,which could answer why there were Umtron slaves in Donny's alt future trip. *sniffs the air* Is that continuity I smell?

Amazing episode!!! Wow. This show continues to blow my mind away. The action did indeed explode. I loved how violent this episode was. Shredder got shot in the head, hand, and in the chest with arrows. Yes, we know he isn't human but he looks like it in that suit. Plus, Leatherhead really went to town trying to destroy him. He sure was pissed.

A few other things I noticed.

-The Yoshi vision sequence was amazing. And did you notice that Splinter was wearing an original Guardian outfit? I guess Splinter has taken the role of a Guardian now.

-April and Casey got involved. True, Casey didn't fight but at least they were there. In fact, Casey saved someone from falling into the launch pad.

-Bishop wants the ship? Why? I guess it would be a perfect tool for him but why? I guess we'll have to wait until next week but most likely Season 4.

-Hun didn't know Saki was an Utrom? That surprised me. And the way that Karai said that the Utroms have been hunting her father all his life, why didn't Leo tell her he was a criminal back in his pre-Earth days.

-Did Hun scream "Krrrrrrrrrrrrang!!!" as he was falling down that pit?

Oh and I think I have a bit of an idea what might happen. They are in space and maybe they do make it to the Utrom homeworld. It looks like Saki either might get captured by them. Or he might actually get killed. Season 3 is going to end where it started. In space. Wow. I can't wait for next week's episode.

Great episode, I enjoyed everything. The only thing I wish was a little longer was the Elite Guard vs. Bishop scenes, but they had to squeeze so much into this episode it's understandable.

This is really the first time the Turtles have ever been on the offensive against Shredder aside from Return to New York. It was also nice to see the Mayor and his guests having a dinner party outside his Palace, and how Karai reassured them that the explosion was only fireworks.

I really loved all the interactions between the characters in this episode. Hun finding out Saki was an Utrom, Karai stating that the Utroms have hunted her "Father" their whole lives, the Elite Guards Return, Bishop and his men wanting to stop Saki from leaving Earth, and I really loved how the TMNT actually totalled Shredder in this episode.

So it seems that Chapmen is going along with Karai and Shredder for a ride in Space? I guess Bishop, Leatherhead, Hun, and the others may not have a big role in the next episode then.

Anyone else thing the last episode will end on a cliffhanger until Season 4?

I give it a 5/5 stars, loved it. I hope the second part is just as good.

An awesome, if not radically mind-blowing first part to the season finale. If there's one more thing this show needs to improve next season besides the voice direction, its to actually toss in plot twists the audience doesn't see coming, but that still remain logical. It was worth raising an eyebrow to see Stockman working for Bishop, but when did that happen? How was their alliance formed? And wasn't Stockman subject to another punishment last time we saw him? Now he's living in (presumably) Chaplain's pad underneath the mansion, which reminds me of Bebop and Rocksteady's messy room from the first show.

I'm glad they finally cleared up whether Hun knew that Shredder was an Utrom or not. Don't know if that'll be explored later, but its out now.

How were they gonna transport the spaceship through that access tunnel? It looked way too small...

Will Shredder die next week? Hopefully. I have this very bad feeling that they'll simply disable his spaceship, and Shredder will wind up endlessly drifting in space or something.

Anyways, part 1 hit all the right notes, had me on the edge of my seat, and did its job in setting up part 2. Hopefully next week delivers.

Maybe when Shredder's gone, the Rat King will take over or something.
You mean Rat King just showing up out of the blue and automatically becomes the new head villain? No...nah ah! Natta! For that to work, they need to develop his character first and prove him to be a formidable foe against the turtles. Just slapping him right then and there is a cop-in and would be downright lazy on Laird's part.

Bishop has to officially take the reigns as head villain for the next season as he is the one who is right for the job.

Well, I just saw the preview for next week's episode, and it looks spectacular as the Turtles (who happened to make it onto the starship) will fight Utrom exposed Shredder! This I can't wait. Great thing that 4Kids didn't hold this episode off till the fall or I would've been peeved!

Rat King doesn't have enough stamina to be the "main villain", he was always a secondary villain for the TMNT.

It's pretty obvious that Bishop will play a big role in Season 4, but will he be the "main" villain, or will they introduce someone new?

I'm also wondering what will happen to the Foot Clan after Shredder is gone. Karai will probably take it over, but will she still use them for crime? Will Hun return to the Purple Dragons? Will Baxter finally go rogue now that Shredder is out of his hair? What will become of the Elite Guards?

And yeah, April did look damn good in that dress. She looks good in red. :D

And yeah, April did look damn good in that dress. She looks good in red. :D

You know, with all the different fashions April is trying, do you think it would set up the groundwork for an April dress-up game? :D

It did sound to me like Hun yelled "KRAAAAANG!" I'm surprised the closed captioning agrees with me, though.

All in all, one of the best episodes the new TMNT has seen for sure.

One thing I do wonder, though, is what the "transport tunnel" would've done if it hadn't been collapsed. Wouldn't the rocket still have to have come up through the whole dining ceremony?

Shredder's original plan was to launch it near the river by towing it through the transport tunnel, which like I said above is a big  because the tunnel's so small...

When the launch pad opened up, I kept checking to see if anyone actually fell in. Nope, they all got away in time....

Still, gotta give credit to Karai covering up the first blast with fireworks. And Saki's line to the guests about how he hopes to return someday was classic.

I was only asking who would die for the sake of starting up the argument. Heck, anyone could die...even Klunk! ...Wait, he wasn't shown...

The close captioning is influencing my ear, but it sounded more like an "ang" sound instead of an "ud" sound.

Or maybe Hun was doing his William Shatner impersonation: "Khan!" :D
