Tiny Toons: 20th Anniversary

(You're not the only one, Silverstar. ;))

Back in that day I used to watch Entertainment Tonight to find out little tidbits on animation(...what internet?;)). It was about July/August on ET where they gave a behind the scenes look at TTA. With great interest, I set out to record the prime time premiere on CBS. I was a little disappointed to learn it was just a one time event in prime time, thinking of how The Simpsons became a success in prime time earlier that year.

Well I doubt TTA could have held up in prime time outside How I Spent My Vacation.

As much as I enjoyed Tiny Toon Adventures, I doubt that it would have been a success running in prime time outside of basic cable. Network execs would take one look at the cute talking animals and immediately write the series off as being kid vid.

I was 5 at the time. Living in San Diego, it actually aired on the local channel called KUSI instead of a Fox affiliate or something like that, coming on right after Ninja Turtles. I actually wasn't interested since it actually took the spot of another cartoon I watched immediately after TMNT and I wanted that show back in its time slot (silly me), but while being babysat one day she turned it to TTA and I became hooked with it by the time it ended. Two decades later and I'm still a fan.

Tiny Toon Adventures began in syndication; it didn't join Fox until 1993.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Nicktoons in the US has recently aired something that no one expected: an AI generated ad for an overpriced plush toy.
Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
Woah yeah today is my Birthday!
