I don't have the DVD yet but when will they come out with a DVD that has that Mad Mod episode? I just LOVE that episode!

I think I'm going to buy the DVD. Even though "Divide and Conquer" is kind of a lame episode. And "Final Exam" is less than stellar.

I must say, I'm pretty happy with this DVD overall. The standard retail price is $19.99, but you should be able to find it on sale for about $14.99. For six episodes and some decent extras, that's fair. Hopefully, it will follow with a volume two containing the remainder of season one.

Packaging and Menu: The Packaging is the much-reviled snapper case. Supposedly, Warner Bros. is phasing out this package in the next year in favor of the hard plastic cases. The design in in keeping with the show's style guide. I would have preferred something more stylish, but it is marketed as a "kid's DVD/video."

Comic Creations: By far, the best thing about this DVD. I was expecting a 5 minute breezy fluff piece. But this extra clocks in at about 21 minutes - the length of an episode. It features commentary by Sam Register, Glen Murakami, David Slack and comic creators Marv Wolfman and George Perez. They talk about the comic book, the characters, and the look of the show. I've talked to each of these creators about the show, and this special still included some stuff I didn't know. It's very nicely done! It makes up for the fact that the DVD does not contain commentaries.

Puffy Ami Yumi Video: Great fun, Good extra. It's the extended music video of the theme song, inserting Puffy Ami Yumi into the Teen Titans world. Fun.

Find The Remote: An interactive game where you scroll through various items to find the remote -- which doesn't really reveal much. The game is strictly for kids.

Previews: Usual kind of stuff. Previews for "Teen Titans and Static Shock", "Codename Kids Next Store", "DC October releases for Batman, Superman and Justice League" and a brief preview of the upcoming "Puffy Ami Yumi" animated series.

Wait, wait, wait...21 MINUTES? You've got to be kidding me. Let's think about this for a second:

The B:TAS Vol. 1 set which is aimed at ADULTS gets an 18-minute featurette and the Teen Titans single-disc which is aimed at KIDS (DC Comics Kids Collection banner?) gets a 21-minute featurette. If this was a box set I wouldn't be as pissed off, but it's a single disc with 6 episodes. It's great for TT fans, but it's also very unfair that a groundbreaking cartoon like B:TAS doesn't get crap for it's box set and Teen Titans gets exceptional treatment on a single-disc aimed at little kids. I don't even know if they would be able to sit through the entire featurette.

Oh yeah, and Static Shock which is being released alongside this has some of the worst special features ever and packaging ever. That's completely unfair and has me hating WB with a passion again.
It's three minutes dude. I don't think anyone went into either DVD with an exact time target. When the featurette was done it was done.

Wait, are you saying that the TT featurette was 3 minutes? I'm not following you.
It's a difference of three minutes. Nothing to get too bent out of shape over.

<<Yeah, but proportionately, it's a big difference. 18 minutes for a 4-disc set with 28 episodes compared to a 21 minute featurette for a single-disc aimed at children which only contains 6 episodes.
>>

I agree. BTAS deserves VERY special treatment. Moreso than its gotten.

But I was VERY pleased when I started the TT COMICS CREATIONS and checked the timecode, expecting to see 5 minutes-- and it was 21.

It seems WB/CN just view TT as a success, more than STATIC

Question. Is the preview of PuffyAmiYumi an actual episode (11 minutes long)? I'm just curious. Usually CN 'bonus' features are 11 minute episodes.

It's just a 39 second promo with clips from the show.

Based on what I read over at the Teen Titan's Animated site (the only good place in that badly amateurish AI website) this DVD is a nice way to kill time. I am glad WB put six episodes on the DVD. They can easily fit the rest of the season on the next volume if they decide to do that. I'm not a dedicated fan of this show but I will watch it if it's on TV. I have missed alot of their episodes. Is this a worthy pick-up for a casual fan of the show?

This disc collecting the first six episodes of Teen Titans is an excellent sampler for those interested in testing out the series. Then again, just watching an episode would be a more cost effective way, but nevermind that. Everything seems to be just about right on this disc. The presentation is handled well, in both sound and audio, and the extras are more than adequate for such a release. The first volume of Teen Titans is a great way to kick off a collection for these heroes. It's only gonna get better with the second volume, I'm sure.

Because I have no interest in waiting years for a possibility of a box set, I picked up the DVD.

I'm a pretty big Titans fan, and I think this DVD is worth it. A little over $3 an episode is aa bargain compared to the money I shell out for anime.

My assesments of DVDs differ from most people that I focus on the main content. The extras are just gravy (if good), or can be ignored.

The episodes are coded in such a way that each episode counts as a "chapter" on the DVD. Meaning, you can't skip the intro or ending, other than by fast forwarding. To me, this just screams "lazy": putting in chapter breaks would have made the DVD a lot more convenient. (The BTAS boz set has the same issue).

I haven't seen the "behind the scenes" segment yet. Not my thing.

"Find the Remote" is also a lame filler thing.

I was disappointed by the Puffy AmiYumi music video of the Titans theme. The visuals didn't match the high energy of the vocals for me. Maybe it's jsut cause I love the Titans theme and expected a lot from a J-pop music video. Oh well.

There's two really solid episodes on the DVD: "Sisters" and "Nevermore." "Divide and Conquer" merits an honroable mention just because of the starting sequence that gives each Titan a solo posed shot.

This DVD sounds hard to pass up, I’ll have to pick it up.

I got the DVD and i must say its v cool. Funny episodes, nice animation and cool DVD menus. Extras are just fine. I dont care at all about the PAY video and the upcoming releases. JL is MY show but TT makes me laugh a lot so thats why i gave it a chance. Anyway, i think its not fair for TT getting already a volume 1 release with 6 episodes in it while JL´s releases are only 4 episodes per disk and we only got 5 dvds releases by far since JL premiered in 2001! Hope you people understand what i mean

I bought the DVD back awhile ago and I think it was $15 well spent. The only thing I didn't like was the music video. I have no idea what people see in these singers.

I had the DVD for about a month. It's addictive to me. And the brilliance to see it at anytime. I just wonder why split the season one titles in half. I'm dying for the second part and no date is set for the release. I have never seen before "Car Trouble".

Divide and Conquer did good. "Sisters" and "Nevermore" are my favorites.

I've had this DVD for a few months now, and I'm pleased to say that I was able to pick it up at Best Buy for only $9.99. Talk about a great deal. I mean I would have picked it up for the $14.99 anyway, but I wanted to wait, as I try to keep my DVD purchases to a minimum during school semesters. It really is a great DVD, and I'll be picking up Vol. 2 here soon to round out Season 1. I hope future seasons get the same treatment.

The Comic Creations featurette was excellent, it was nice to see what Wolfman and Perez had to say about their "baby" being adapted for animation. And kudos to Sam Register for pushing Glen Murakami to make it more weird and different. They have made TT the most fun animated show on tv, for me at least.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
