LOUD NOISES
Wow..this is HILARIOUS!
Funny, I'm thinking the opposite of this episode.BrickTamland said:Wow..this is HILARIOUS!
Eh, it was NOWHERE NEAR as heavy handed as the John Edwards episode. Good god, they would just not let it go...SirLemming said:I was wondering about Isaac Hayes too...
Well, this is the first really worthwhile SP episode I've seen in a while. I'm pretty baffled at the reactions here, but I'm not gonna go all crazy. But basically this was the only recent SP episode that actually felt like a true SP episode. The closet stuff was mostly disposable, but the rest of it was pretty sharp.
It was pretty heavy-handed with the message, I guess I have to admit that. But I think Stan retained his identity as a character throughout, which is what made it work.
The credits were great.
As near as I can tell, yes, Scientologists believe that negative emotions are the result of thetans, being cast into the volcaones of earth millions of years ago by the evil overlord Xenu that now roam the earth entering human bodies and causing no end of horrible things.Discloner said:The Scientology bit was funny as well, especially the crawl. It almost seems too far-fetched to believe....is that really what scientology suggests happened?
You haven't been here very long, have you?Curt said:Jesus Christ, people, stop acting like a bunch of stuck-up, high-brow pretentious Hollywood critic a-holes, and just LAUGH and something once in a while.
I was wondering what was up with that...John Smith and Jane Smith for all of 'em.Beatdigga said:You haven't been here very long, have you?
This was pretty funny, simply because Scientology is just THAT out there, the source material writes itself. The closet jokes, however, were only funny when R. Kelly got involved (after being the subject of a Boondocks episode, I'm glad they didn't tread the same issues)
Also, did anyone check out the credits?
