She certainly was a great comedian when it came to providing cartoon voices like Suzie Kabloozie on Sesame Street, Wendy on Sheep in the Big City, Nose Marie on Pound Puppies, and others.
Speaking of Sesame Street, she played Ruthie (like Bob McGrath played Bob), owner of a shop called Finders Keepers. She was on from seasons 25-32, even after they dropped the shop from the set.
She even sang a song about buzzards in Walt Disney Productions' 1969 animated short film It's Tough to Be a Bird. "When the buzzards return to Hinckley Ridge..."

We are saddened to learn of the passing of comedy legend Ruth Buzzi, who starred in an episode of The Muppet Show AND as recurring cast member "Ruthie" on Sesame Street, plus so much more. Thanks...
