The show has enough characters and a decent plot/story line to keep it going, but the question then becomes can it survive beyond 1-2 seasons?

For what I know, Max & the Midknights originally supposed to be 20 episodes. Due to the fact that Nickelodeon shows use split seasons (like SpongeBob, Patrick Star Show, Blaze and the Monster Machines, The Tiny Chef Show, The Loud House, Rock Paper Scissors). It might be likely Max & the Midknights season 2 might be 10 episodes, but don't know when exactly will premiere.

Nickelodeon doing whatever they can to keep from having Nicktoons and TeenNick go off-air. Airing SpongeBob on autopilot on Nicktoons clearly works! Meanwhile TeenNick is back to just Henry Danger, iCarly, and The Loud House next week after trying to bring back some life to its lineup last month.

Never underestimate that there are people who put a channel on the background and mind find the idea of having SpongeBob on the whole time an easily solution. It's like those one show based free streaming channels but with a valuable show.

The Smurfs (2021) and Super Duper Bunny League will have Nicktoons premieres on Saturday mornings an hour after they premiere on main Nick at 10:40 and 11:36am starting this Saturday. This would also mark the first time that The Smurfs (2021) has aired on Nicktoons in 2 years as it last aired on May 26, 2023.

This is just for network premieres, for Super Duper Bunny League and The Smurfs (2021), but the rest schedule still continues with SpongeBob and Patrick Star Show mostly reruns.

Just like similar with Max & the Midknights just last year until earlier this year were only network premieres, and barely reruns regularly.

According to TV Insider, Zokie of Planet Ruby will make Nicktoons network premiere on Sat May 10 at 11:36am (along with new, after Nickelodeon premiere on Sat May 10 at 10am, so it's likely every Saturdays.

Nicktoons went from so many shows in one weekly schedule to just a handful of shows marathoned over and over, and in not even 10 years they went from THAT to being 24/7 SpongeBob SquarePants

I still remember the pain like it wasn't even yesterday... I had this account, too.

The first change I noticed was beginning in 2005 like around July-August of that year, some of the shorts like Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures and Charlie Brown were quietly dropped and although cartoon shorts still aired, ads were becoming more frequent. I had no idea what was going on with the channel.

On September 23, 2005, Nicktoons became Nicktoons Network and would start airing both classic and original shows. The channel also had a slogan “Animation Capital of the World” and was still going good. It was was around 2008 I noticed more of the classic Nickelodeon shows had been removed and shows like Speed Racer, Martin Mystery, The Secret Show, Kappa Mikey, Edgar and Ellen, Tak and the Power of Juju began taking over the channel. By the 2009 rebrand, less than half of the classics remained.

UPDATE: It actually ended up being pulled earlier than expected which started Monday, so it's officially off the lineup for now.

It's been almost a year since Nicktoons has NOT aired The Loud House since they had SpongeBob marathon mostly.

It's now been a full year since Nicktoons became a SpongeBob channel. SpongeBob's 25th anniversary is long over now. They just haven't cared to revert to the schedule prior to that, unfortunately.
