Nickelodeon cancellation/renewal thread part 2

They haven't done that since It's Pony in 2022. Everything else has finished on Nickelodeon. There's barely a Nicktoons Network anymore.
There was also The Twisted Timeline of Sammy & Raj, a Nicktoons international show, aired only in Nicktoons US earlier last year, and has NOT even aired on Nickelodeon at all.

I would argue Nick is doing a lot better with new cartoons then it is with... ANYTHING live action. Seriously the only Live Action show they have going right now (Thundermans: Undercover) is a sequel follow up to one of their hit shows from LAST decade. Kind of like how Disney's only live action current series is that Wizards of Waverly Place follow up; live action kids shows are really on the bubble right now on the mainstream networks and a lot more perilous then their animated shows which at least are open to TRYING new things and being more their own ideas. So Nick (and you know by extent Disney) will cling to those more then the alternative which is pretty much one attempt at reliving a past hit and nothing else.
All because of that Quiet on Set documentary.

I guess you could argue there is some correlation there even though Dan Schneider really stopped having directly ANYTHING to do with Nickelodeon shows after Henry Danger ended (even the spinoff Danger Force he has NO involvement in other then like "created original series concept" credit), especially when some of the more questionable series like the Really Loud House got cut. Though stuff like Young Dylan didn't have anything really to do with Schneider at all or that controversy and was under Tyler Perry's umbrella and he's still a thing.

I think it more just has to do with longer form live action series content just not being a thing a lot of kids in general are into now. Like honestly I kind of feel THAT style of series is nearing death and honestly if anything it does mean better things for animated kids shows which can still be popular and decently high quality but that's a whole other topic not really related to just one. But is worth noting unless Thundermans Undercover winds up doing ridiculously well I don't see a lot of premieres of more live action sitcom content for main Nick at least for a couple of years.

The live-action sitcom is having a hard time in general. CBS currently runs only 4, ABC currently has 2, NBC will have 4, FOX has 2. Streaming only it seems to be dead, like Netflix tried but they also thought people wanted to binge instead of doing weekly drops. Sitcoms can't be done in a binge. If there are any currently running streaming US sitcoms I can't think of one.

Sadly it turns out even after viral content trying to get petition to save the show, it didn't. It's still NOT moving forward with the show after all, due to Paramount and Skydance merger.

According to this, it appears Nick quietly renewed The Loud House for season 10 (season 9 production-wise), and season 11..... And by August 1 and onwards likely be Summer Camp arc episodes.

This is clearly an error with the press schedule as of recently. There is another episode in the upcoming arc that you forgot to mention called "Ticked Off", which is the first part of said arc and is the Season 9 finale. It would be silly of Nickelodeon to not only skip through Season 9 but also air this upcoming arc out of order.

"Nickelodeon Cancels “Blue’s Clues & You!”"

Blues-Clues.png

"Nickelodeon has cancelled the preschool series Blue’s Clues & You! after 5 seasons. The news was revealed in an Instagram post by series host Josh Dela Ceuz. The series’ cancellation was mentioned in a post talking about returning to musical theater. “Ever since Blue’s Clues & You was cancelled, people have been asking if I’d ever return to musical theatre—and the answer has always been yes.” Dela Cruz wrote.

While the post was meant to be about Dela Cruz’s theater career, people began commenting on the news about Blue’s Clues & You! in the comments, some of which Dela Cruz responded to. One comment of note asked him if all the episodes for season 5 were filmed, to which he replied “”sadly no”."

Vida the Vet has been renewed for season 2.

NFL Slimetime has been renewed for season 5! But it's moving to 5pm EST. And based on twitter, new episodes of Thundermans Undercover start Sept 10, but will air at 5:30pm.
I'm beginning to wonder whether Nick@Nite will gain 2 hours?

A leaked database shows SB and Patrick Star Show return to new episodes on September 10 in the 7pm hour so likely not

you mean 12th.
Now I’m confused. You’re saying that premieres of NFL Slimetime and Thundermans Undercover are moving to Wednesdays in the 5pm hour starting September 10th, allowing premieres of SpongeBob SquarePants and The Patrick Star Show to take over the 7pm hour on that day, yet Eurbane is saying that SpongeBob and Patrick Show premieres return Friday, September 12th.

Based on tweet, new SpongeBob and Patrick Star Show actually will return on Sept 12 at 7pm hour. PM13 user might have accidentally said Sept 10 as typo.

To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s

Nicktoons in the US has recently aired something that no one expected: an AI generated ad for an overpriced plush toy.
Not everything from DC and Marvel comics needs to be more like the adaptations.
