"Superman And Spider-Man To Team Up — Again"

"Given the corporate status of DC and Marvel right now, with both owned by gigantic rival companies, it seemed like the days of universe-hopping between Superman and Spider-Man’s worlds were over. We were thankfully wrong — it’s been happening a lot lately, and it will soon happen again for their biggest marquee stars.

Last month, the Dark Knight officially met the Merc With A Mouth as Deadpool / Batman was published by Marvel on September 17. It’s a two-part release and the second, with different content, will be released by DC in November. But it won’t stop there…we learned today a brand-new meetup between Superman and Spider-Man will be happening this March.

If you’re wondering when this happened before and how you missed it, you may not have been born yet. The first DC / Marvel crossover, Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of the Century, was published in 1976. Since next year marks the 50th anniversary, they felt it was time to try again…and bring back the original."

"Creative Teams and Details Revealed for DC’s “Superman/Spider-Man #1”, Coming in March 2026"

Announced back in October, 2026 will see a new crossover comic starring the two flagship characters of Marvel and DC Comics – Superman and Spider-Man! There will actually be two versions, one published by Marvel, and one published by DC. Now we have new details on the creative teams and stories, at least in the first version (this one published by DC). The main story will be written by long time Marvel/DC scribe Mark Waid, with artwork by Jorge Jiménez.

DC’s synopsis for the plot states “When journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker find themselves chasing the same story, the conspiracy they uncover could change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it. (And we bet they do!) Good thing our intrepid newshounds are secretly Superman and the amazing Spider-Man. To bring this clash of reporters‑turned‑heroes to life, Mark Waid and Jorge Jiménez join forces to headline DC’s Superman/Spider-Man #1 with an unforgettable lead story.”

While that’s the main story, the special issue will feature several back up stories, including:

  • A “Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson” story by Tom King and Jim Lee
  • A “Jimmy Olson and Carnage” story by Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber
  • A “Superboy (Legion of Superheroes era) and Spider-Man 2099” story by Sean Murphy
  • A “Power Girl and Punisher” story by Gail Simone and Belén Ortega
  • A “Superboy Prime and Spider-Man (black suit era)” story by Christopher Priest and Daniel Sampere.
  • A “Daily Planet vs Daily Bugle” story by Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott.
  • And a Pa Kent and Uncle Ben flashback story by Jeff Lemire and Rafa Sandoval

Going offline until further notice. David Ellison has won. I’m seeking therapy permanently rather than quitting life. Take care everyone. Once I leave the world into the void, I hope my life is better.
Is that Joan Cusack voicing Jessie in that Toy Story Papa John's commercial? If so, it sounds rough. Woundn't surprise me if it wasn't, though.
